"Knock, knock..."
When Olivia Xia rapped on the car window, she distinctly felt a pair of sharp eyes shoot out from inside.
In just a blink, that intense gaze was replaced by a dumbfounded stare.
With displeasure wrinkling her brow, Olivia Xia gestured for the other party to roll down the window.
But before Xavier Si could wind down the window, a group of thugs, dressed in black, suddenly appeared outside the bar, quickly approaching and surrounding Olivia Xia.
The leader of the men glanced at his phone, then at Olivia Xia, and snorted coldly, "Yes, it's her. Get her."
Lifting her eyes, Olivia Xia saw five or six men all rushing towards her with machetes...
Already in a bad mood, she sank her face and, observing the crazed crowd hurling themselves at her, stretched her muscles with a raise of her hand.
"Just when I wanted to unwind a bit, some people delivered themselves to my doorstep..."
Ah, perfect. Let the man in the car see what happens when he betrays her.
As Olivia Xia thought this, she had already swiftly acted, slapped away the machete from a man's hand, and knocked a few people to the ground in a matter of moments.
Because there was a car beside her, limiting her movements, Olivia Xia consciously jumped outside and began brawling with the knife-wielding men.
Xavier Si, noticing something was wrong, immediately unbuckled his seat belt to get out of the car, but the woman in the back seat held him tight along with the chair.
"Brother Xavier, I feel so bad, don't leave me... uh..."
Xavier Si almost reflexively pried her hands off, pushing her back onto the rear seat with a shadow crossing his devilishly handsome face, "If you don’t want to be thrown out of the car, sit still."
Before the woman could recover, he was already out of the car.
However, when his gaze landed back on Olivia Xia, where were any brutal thugs around her?
All that was left were machetes scattered on the ground, and...
Small-time thugs sprawled every which way, wailing in pain.
Olivia Xia stepped on the chest of the lead man, looking down at him authoritatively, "Speak. Who sent you?"
Blood seeped from the corner of his mouth as he looked at Olivia Xia in terror, "You, you..."
"Not speaking?"
"I, I don’t know her name..."
"Give me the phone," Olivia Xia arched an eyebrow.
He was reluctant, but feeling Olivia Xia increasing the pressure under her foot, he yelped in pain and obediently handed over his phone.
Upon inspecting it, Olivia Xia discovered something very interesting.
Because not only Xia Yingying had found this man to deal with herself, but another person had as well.
That person was the sleazy man who had been beaten up by Olivia Xia and then by Xavier Si again at the bar entrance the day before.
As familiar footsteps approached, Olivia Xia turned and tossed the phone to Xavier Si, her tone cold and somewhat mocking, "It seems I still can't rely too much on men."
Xavier Si glanced at the phone and understood, "That guy won’t be leaving his sickbed for at least half an hour after making the call."
Olivia Xia was taken aback, that vicious?
But seeing that Xavier Si didn’t look like he was lying, she furrowed her brow, "I won't save you if you get caught."
"Don't worry, I know my limits," Xavier Si said with a wicked smile, extending his hand to Olivia Xia, "Someone will come to clean this up; I'll take you home."
Olivia Xia glanced at the luxury car, "Not planning to return the car to its owner, just to conveniently pick me up?"
Realizing Olivia Xia misunderstood, a bewitching smile flickered across Xavier Si’s handsome face, "No."
No?
Then what?
That's it?
Olivia Xia waited for ten seconds, but Xavier Si gave no further answer.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the woman in the car already opening the door, stealthily peeking this way.
She approached Xavier Si, her hands climbing up his neck, standing on tiptoes, whispering softly into his ear, "Could it be, to pick me up?"
The subtle milky fragrance from Olivia Xia rushed into Xavier Si's nostrils, his mind nearly going blank, especially when Olivia Xia breathed into his ear, it gave him a shudder, almost unable to resist taking direct action on this young lady.
"Madame Si is somewhat jealous, like a vinegar jar overturned?" Xavier Si, his eyes narrow, with a bewitching smile, encircled Olivia Xia’s waist, and also whispered hoarsely into her ear.
Olivia Xia felt her heart violently shudder, defiantly lifting her chin, "If my dog suddenly gets close to another woman, I’d discipline it too."
The implication being, he was no different from that dog.
Xavier Si chuckled softly, "No wonder you’d bristle when the man keeping you has another woman at his side."
Olivia Xia: ???
Does this man have no shame? When did he start keeping her?
"Be good, get in the car, hmm?"
Olivia Xia angrily pushed him away, "Save your energy to coax the person in your car; I’m busy."
Having only walked a few steps, Olivia Xia was pulled back into Xavier Si's arms.
He slightly bowed his head, his wicked eyes seriously gazing at her, "The little sister of a good brother."
Olivia Xia arched an eyebrow, "So?"
"I treat her as a biological sister."
"She may not treat you as a biological brother!" Olivia Xia quickly changed her words after realizing they sounded off, "I just don't like my man having a bunch of ambiguous relationships around him."
"Rest assured, Madame Si, I will handle it well." A flirtatious smile crossed Xavier Si’s devilishly handsome face.
"That’s best." Olivia Xia pushed him away again, turning around to conceal her wildly beating heart, "I’m leaving."
Watching Olivia Xia's awkward departing figure, Xavier Si couldn’t help revealing a bright smile: a woman who says one thing but means another, unexpectedly a bit cute.
Feeling someone watching him from behind, he turned his head, meeting the eyes of the girl in the car, full of pain and despair, "Brother Xavier, did you reject me because of her?"
"Get in the car and sit properly." If not for promising her big brother to take care of her during this time, Xavier Si might have left already.
"Why?" The girl, clinging to Xavier Si’s clothes and insisting, asked, "Where is she better than me? We’ve known each other for so many years, yet she, a stranger, is more important?"
"Ellie Qin, agreeing to look after you for your brother doesn’t mean taking responsibility for your life." Xavier Si put away his smile, a chill flashing in his narrowed eyes.
"Leal, come and send Miss Qin home." Xavier Si spoke, pushing the person into the car, locking the door, ignoring her shouts and screams inside, without taking an extra look.
Leal, who had been nearby, arrived within a few minutes of receiving the call, watching the scene inside the car, sweating profusely, "Boss, Miss Qin..."
"Send her home safely, have someone watch her, don’t let any problems arise."
Xavier Si's chilling demeanor caused Leal to shiver involuntarily, promptly nodding, "Yes."
After Xavier Si spoke, he walked briskly to the exit of the parking lot, blocking the car that Olivia Xia was driving.
Olivia Xia stepped on the brake, squinting at him, "You still have something?"
Xavier Si walked over, opened the car door, got in, and also showed Olivia Xia that bewitching smile, "Can I hitch a ride, Madame Si?"
This ‘Madame Si’ made Olivia Xia’s recently calmed heart tumultuous once again.
She had never seen a man like Xavier Si, who could smile so bewitchingly, so soul-stirring!
Fiercely gripping his chin, Olivia Xia warned with fierce severity, "Don’t ever smile like that in front of other women again, understand?"
