"You want to learn the decomposition skill? Okay, no problem!" After hearing George's intention, Aunt Wang nodded in agreement without even thinking about it.
George was immediately moved to tears.
Why were people so different? Look at how generous Aunt Wang was compared to Mr. Liu of the grocery store and the old village chief. The difference was tremendous.
"Thank you, Aunt Wang." George quickly replied gratefully.
"Why are you being so polite?" Aunt Wang said, "By the way, my cooking skills are pretty good. Do you want to learn them from me too?"
"Uh..." To be honest, George was not very interested in cooking. However, seeing Aunt Wang's expectant look, George couldn't bear to refuse. Hence, he nodded and said, "Yes, I've thought that your cooking skills are great and I've always wanted to learn from you too.”
"Really? That's great!" Sure enough, when she heard that George was willing to learn, Aunt Wang was overjoyed. "My cooking skills are not just for boasting. They are top-notch in the entire continent. It's a pity that no one wants to learn from me here. It's great that you are willing to. I will teach you with all my heart.”
"Congratulations, you have been taught by cooking master Yvonne Wang. You have learned cooking and decomposition skills, and your cooking and decomposition skills have been upgraded to advanced levels!"
The familiar robotic voice was heard in George's ears, making him shocked again.
Another master?
Although it was just in culinary, she was still a master. It was very difficult to become a master in any field, even in the culinary world.
Could it be that the old village chief was telling the truth when he said that the people in their village were the top masters on the continent in their respective fields? So it really was true?
What kind of place is this? How could a "newbie village" have so many masters?
George left Aunt Wang's in shock, and then reluctantly spent a gold coin to buy a cutting knife from the grocery store. It was obviously impossible to decompose without tools. Therefore, although he did not want to deal with that unethical businessman, George still had to go.
After everything was prepared, George confidently prepared to leave the village to kill monsters and make some money. However, when he was at the entrance of the village, he saw a man sighing.
There's a mission? !
Seeing this, George immediately thought of missions. This person was obviously in trouble. If the aborigines were in trouble, didn't it mean that he had a mission to take on? George quickly ran over.
"What's the matter, Mr. Sun? "George went over and said.
This sighing man was none other than the village's Blacksmith Sun.
"Are you George? The newbie?"
"Yes."
"Here's the thing. I don't have much ore left in my blacksmith shop. I wanted to mine some ore, but the mine in front is infested by a group of monsters. With my weak arms and legs, I can't defeat them, so I don't dare to go mining. That's why I'm here worrying about the ore." Blacksmith Sun said sadly.
"Well, if you need any ore, I'll help you mine it," George said.
This was obviously a mission, just like Pharmacist Li's previous mission that involved collecting herbs, so George naturally understood.
"You? No, no, those monsters are too powerful, your life will be in danger if you go there." Blacksmith Sun looked at George and shook his head.
Unexpectedly, this task was not so easy to accept.
"I'll be fine if I'm careful." George said, "And if it's too dangerous, I'll come back first."
"If that's the case, fine, you have to be careful." Although Blacksmith Sun was still worried about George's safety, he was also worried about the lack of ore in his store. After thinking about it for a while, he agreed, "I'll start with teaching you the art of identifying minerals and mining skills, so you won't make any mistakes.”
"Okay!" George was overjoyed. Blacksmith Sun was a very understanding person, and he took the initiative to teach him the skills without George needing to ask.
With that, George successfully learned the art of mineral identification and mining, and also obtained a mining shovel from Blacksmith Sun.
Seeing Blacksmith Sun casually pull out a mining shovel from his side, George wondered if the blacksmith knew that he was leaving the village and was waiting for him here. Otherwise, why would he even have the mining shovel ready?
The mine mentioned by Blacksmith Sun was not far from Novice Village. George had no clear goal before this anyway, so he simply went to the mine directly to mine and kill monsters to make money.
George actually didn't have much interest in killing monsters. It would be great to plant crops to supplement himself in reality. If it weren't for the purpose of making money to rent the open space in the back hills, George would not leave the village. After all, it was easy to get injured when killing monsters, and getting hurt here was no different from being injured in reality. He would still bleed and hurt. The only advantage is that once he returned to reality, the injuries would heal and no wounds will be left. Otherwise, George wouldn't want to kill monsters at all.
Not long after that, George came to the vicinity of the mine. There was an obvious cave entrance. George looked around for monsters and he walked in carefully when he saw none.
Entering the mine, there were traces of excavation on both sides. This mine should be an old one. Most of the ores in it were gone. George also searched for a while before he found an area that had not been mined.
The mineral identification skill also played its role at this time.
"Inferior iron ore: Contains more impurities, can be used to make weapons after refinement."
"Inferior copper ore: Contains more impurities, can be used to make weapons after refining."
"Inferior silver ore: Contains..."
The area discovered by George mainly composed of iron ore, followed by a small amount of copper and silver ore. This was not the real world after all, so there wasn't just one kind of ore in this mine, but the quality of the ores were average as they contained many impurities.
Mr. Sun had also explained before that all the good ores have been mined long ago, and the rest were of average or poor quality. After mining, Mr. Sun still had to refine them before they could be used. Fortunately, his skills seemed to be good, so the art of refining was not a problem for him.
Now that the ore had been found, George started digging.
Mining ore was obviously a laborious task, and it was much more tiring than collecting herbs.
"Why can't this be like in a normal game, where you can just sit here and click on the progress bar?" George complained while waving the mining shovel.
At this moment, George suddenly heard a loud noise. His expression changed, and his hands stopped moving. He looked towards the direction of the sound nervously. It came from the depths of the mine. .
There were monsters? !
