The Ning family villa in Panlong Bay.
The usually quiet East Wing was bustling tonight. The last time it was this lively was when Aiden and Abigale got their marriage certificate.
Tonight was even more lively than that night because everyone who was involved in Ning family affairs was present.
The living room was full of people, all descendants of the old lady.
Since the head of the family was absent, women were allowed to attend the meeting, such as Sam's wife, who came to participate in the family meeting.
Three sons, five grandsons, three granddaughters, a total of eleven people, each found a place to sit.
Years ago, Jayden, the father of Abigale, divided his property into eight shares and gave them to his family.
The old lady and her daughter each took two shares, leaving each of the four brothers with one share.
This meant that Abigale effectively owned three shares.
And the eldest son of the Ning family, Peter, did not enter the Beam Reed company. Instead, he directly sold his shares to Abigale for cash, so she effectively controlled four shares of the company.
Even though it may seem chaotic when a dozen people were crowded into the living room, in fact, everyone's position was important.
For example, the main sofa facing east and west was empty now because that was where the old lady sat.
The sofa on the left should belong to Abigale. But since she's also in the hospital, it's her eldest son, Peter, who was sitting there.
The other seats were taken randomly, but all the elders sat down, while the younger ones stood by or brought their own stools to sit on.
As for Aiden's seat, there was none!
A son-in-law of the Ning family expecting a seat at the family meeting? It's simply wishful thinking!
With a few coughs, the old lady came down from upstairs, supported by two people. Lucas was on her left, and Betty was on her right.
Lucas was not stupid. He knew that he had to come back immediately for the family meeting tonight. He went straight into the old lady's room and confessed everything that had happened in the company during this period.
But of course, he didn't say everything. He picked what was favorable to him and portrayed himself as the victim.
The old lady just listened quietly and said nothing. She slowly came downstairs, and then sat in her own seat while closing her eyes.
What's the meaning of that? Was the old lady coming down to sleep? Wouldn't it be more comfortable to sleep in bed?
Lucas whispered beside the old lady, "Mom, everyone who are available is here. Shouldn't we start?"
The old lady didn't open her eyes and said calmly: "Wait for another person!"
Since the old lady said so, then everyone had to just wait obediently!
Lucas sat down on the sofa opposite his eldest brother and crossed his legs, he was thinking about how to shift all the blame onto Abigale and that damned son-in-law later!
Since they weren't here, and everyone around him was family, he could do as he pleased. They would definitely support him.
At the Community Specialist Hospital, after feeding Abigale the last bite of food, Aiden asked, "Do you really want me to go back?"
Abigale nodded and said, "I think grandma means that! We need to face it sooner or later. It's better to open up! But... if we divide the assets now, it might lead to a cut-off in funding!"
"Pft, with me around, there's nothing that can't be resolved!" Aiden dismissed her concerns with a smirk.
Abigale snorted, "Stop bragging, okay? The shortfall from this nearly ten-million project is something even selling you couldn't cover!"
Aiden shook his head and replied, "Your family members all have a common problem!"
"What common problem?" Abigale frowned.
Pointing to himself with his thumb, Aiden scoffed, "You all don't take me, the king of Green Mountain, seriously! Just wait, your so-called challenge is nothing to me!"
"You are not the king of Green Mountain, you are the stinky king of Green Mountain! I am too lazy to talk to you, go back quickly, they are all waiting for you!" Abigale urged him with a straight face.
Aiden asked, "Are you sure you'll be fine here by yourself? What if you need to use the bathroom at night? Do you want me to carry you there first?"
Abigale's face flushed red. Through gritted teeth, she scolded Aiden, "Thank you for your kind offer, but I have someone who will help me with that!"
"What? Even though we're married in name, you're leaving this kind of thing to someone else? Who? Come out if he dares!" Aiden cursed angrily.
A person walked in from the door and said in a deep voice, "Me!"
The person had short hair, bright eyes, and was only slightly shorter than Aiden. He was wearing a tight long-sleeved shirt and sports pants, with a jacket draped over his shoulders.
Aiden realized he hadn't met this person before, but he looked like someone who worked out regularly!
With a wary look, Aiden asked, "Who are you? Looks like you've been working out for a few years. You're quite muscular!"
"Your chest muscles are even bigger than mine... Wait, those aren't chest muscles..."
Aiden patted the person's chest a couple of times, feeling a bit strange. Then, he watched as the person's face turned bright red from the ears to the neck!
"Aiden!" Abigale shouted from the hospital bed.
The scene continued as Aiden felt a sudden darkness before a foot came crashing towards his face!
Whoosh! Before the foot could land, he swiftly executed a back bridge, arching his body backward to avoid the kick!
Before the opponent's left leg could touch the ground, he smoothly transitioned into a circular motion, executing a powerful kick towards Aiden's legs!
Damn! Did it have to be this harsh? Was this guy trying to kill him?
He decisively lowered his body and planted his hands on the ground. He then executed a backward somersault, evading the kick once again!
But it seemed like the opponent wouldn't stop once he started moving, displaying incredibly agile footwork.
Retracting his left leg, the opponent spun his right foot, propelling his entire body into the air. With a heavy spin, he unleashed a whirlwind kick towards Aiden!
"Ah!" Aiden sighed lightly and, instead of backing off, he met the opponent's leg head-on.
Before the opponent could fully exert his force, he made a swift move.
He grabbed the opponent's left leg with his left hand, supported his waist with his right hand, and threw him sideways onto the bed!
"Sister Sherry, stop fighting. He's just a fool. He didn't mean it!" Abigale leaned on the bedside and shouted to the man anxiously.
You were stupid! Your whole family was stupid!
Aiden rolled his eyes at Abigale and turned to the person, "Ah! I see, you're Bari! It was a misunderstanding! I really thought you were a guy!"
"Blame it on your dress style being too gender-neutral. If not for the chest muscles... cough, cough, you're just too rough for a girl!"
Bari jumped off the bed and greeted Aiden with clasped fists, "Brother-in-law!"
Aiden was feeling a bit puzzled, he asked her, "You're not angry at me?"
Bari straightforwardly replied to him, "A person with dirty thoughts couldn't cultivate such skills!"
Look at her, so straightforward! Much better than Abigale, who beats around the bush all the time!
Aiden had only heard of Bari but never met her in person.
Last time, when Noah almost tricked Abigale into the bed of an old pervert, the situation would have been unimaginable without Bari's intervention!
However, Bari was injured in the process and had been recuperating in the hospital. Abigale didn't let Aiden accompany her when visiting Bari, so he hadn't seen her until now.
Now that they had finally met, and they met with a fight. Aiden had a bit of an understanding of Bari's martial arts skills. He could only say that she was quite good.
Bari politely said to Aiden, "Brother-in-law, your martial arts skills are profound. If there's a chance, please teach me a few moves. I only used fifty percent of my strength in that leg technique just now..."
Well, she's a martial arts enthusiast! Aiden had no interest in sparring with women. He quickly said, "Well, with you here, I feel relieved. I have something else to do, so I'll take my leave!"
