"OK."
Jocelyn accepted the business card and smiled, "If you are free, call me at any time. I'm usually bored at home alone. Besides studying the jewelry, I have no hobbies. Please don't dislike or avoid me because I am a housewife."
From Jocelyn's skillful way of pulling her hair, Mrs. Ruskin had known that she was an expert.
"What happened to the housewife? You've studied jewelry a lot better than some designers who are not professional at all. Besides, don't call me Mrs, Ruskin, just call me sister Ruskin."
Jocelyn showed a graceful and flattered look. After a few seconds, she calmed down and gave a generous cry, "Sister Ruskin."
Mrs. Ruskin nodded with satisfaction.
"Then I'll call you, Jocelyn."
Mrs. Ruskin was very frank and she could make a good balance between her work and her life. Jocelyn clearly knew that, so even if she had helped her at this time, she could not be eager to talk about the business of the Morrison Group. Because it would exposed her strong motivation.
They went back to the box side by side and chatted about jewelry on the way back. Mrs. Ruskin asked several questions. And Jocelyn could make a very detailed analysis and give the accurate answers. She had some unique views on the matching of jewelry and fashion. Mrs. Ruskin saw her in her more and more approving eyes.
When they reached the door of the box, Mrs. Ruskin could not help saying,
"Jocelyn, you have such a talent, how can you be a housewife at home? Haven't you thought about what you're going to do in the future?"
"Actually, I have this thought, but it's a long story. It's still a bit difficult."
As she spoke, a voice suddenly came out from the box, which sounded dissatisfied.
"Jocelyn, who are you talking to? You have went to the bathroom for a long time, and you're..."
At the same time, one hand lifted the curtain of the box and it was Selena, whose face had been smeared extremely white. She didn't finish her speaking and just stopped. She looked at the woman standing side by side with Jocelyn in dismay.
"Ruskin, Mrs. Ruskin?"
Being interrupted, Mrs. Ruskin frowned displeasantly and looked at Selena, considering that Jocelyn was still here, she politely said,
"Just thank Mrs. Morrison for bearing pain to give up the thing that you care very much."
Selena eyes were bright. She looked back and forth on the two persons when she said.
"It's all right. You're welcome."
Then she looked at Jocelyn and said, "Jocelyn, what's the matter? Why do you talk to Mrs. Ruskin at the door? Please come in and have a chat in the box.
Jocelyn frowned, "Mom..."
"No." Mrs. Ruskin interrupted, "I like chatting with your daughter-in-law very much. If there is a chance, I'll ask her out for tea another day. But today I still have something to deal with. I have to go first."
Mrs. Song's words had given Jocelyn enough authority, and Selena didn't say more.
Before dinner, Father Morrison had talked to Selena in the living room as soon as he came back from the company.
Julia was playing with his newly bought bracelet. Arthur was reading magazines in the corner of the living room. As usual, Nicola Morrison didn't appear and no one knew where he was going. The whole family was waiting for the old man to come back for dinner.
After chatting with Nicola Morrison for a while, Father Morrison turned to ask Jocelyn.
"Did you talk to Mrs. Ruskin at the auction today?"
Jocelyn was stunned.
Everyone in the room looked at her.
She said cautiously, "Mrs. Ruskin has a problem with her jewelry. I helped her solve it. Dad, what's the problem?"
"No problem, no problem," Father Morrison looked happy, "Sit down and tell me what's going on today."
Jocelyn sat next to Nicola Morrison and told them all about the auction this afternoon, such as how she got to know Mrs. Ruskin, Mrs. Ruskin gave her a private phone call and asked her to go out for tea.
"If it is really like this, then the business cooperation will be easy."
Father Morrison was very happy, and said loudly, "No one who participated in the bidding can have any relationship with Mrs. Ruskin. As for the quality of the product, there is no big difference among us. Now it depends on who Mrs. Ruskin is willing to choose, which one she like more. Jocelyn has done well."
Julia muttered discontentedly, "It is just a coincidence. Is that what she has done?"
Abner glanced at his daughter.
"Just show me if you have the good luck."
Julia was speechless and glared at Jocelyn indignantly.
Selena was afraid that her daughter would be scolded, so she mentioned the original topic again.
"That's easy. Let Jocelyn appoint Mrs. Ruskin and recommend our group more."
"I'm afraid not," Jocelyn said euphemistically. "I have just known Mrs. Ruskin for such a short time, it will be too purposeful and be counterproductive if I suddenly asked her to help us in business."
Selena looked disdainful, while her husband nodded admiringly.
"Yes, you can't mention the thing about business with Mrs. Ruskin initiatively. Once you mention it, it will be bad."
"Why?" Selena was puzzled.
Abner looked at her, frowned slightly, but still explained patiently.
"Mrs. Ruskin's subjective consciousness is very strong. She hates being persuaded. It's better to influence her unconsciously. Since she likes Jocelyn, let Jocelyn get along with her. She clearly knows that Jocelyn is the daughter-in-law of Morrison family. When inviting bids, it's inevitable for her to take the Morrison Group more into consideration. That's enough."
Jocelyn also nodded.
Maybe it was because the members in Morrison family seldom helped with business. Abner was so happy that he asked Jocelyn, "If this is done, it's all your credit. You say what you want, it is Ok whether it's a car or a house."
As soon as he said that, Selena and Julia both stared at each other. Selena directly said impolitely.
"She's the daughter-in-law of the Morrison family. She should help our group. What are you doing?"
Julia was indignant, "Dad, you never said to send me a car or a house."
Abner looked them angrily, "If you two can make it, I'll give you a house and a car as well. You'll be rewarded for doing something. In this way, you can say what you want, and you deserve it."
Jocelyn looked at the crowd that both Selena and Julia were unwilling but Arthur never said a word, as if he had no relationship with Abner and he only read his own military magazine.
After hesitating for a moment, she said, "If you really want to reward me, Dad, let me go to the Morrison Group to work?"
After she finished her speaking, the living room suddenly became quiet.
Abner looked at her curiously.
"Are you going to work in the Morrison Group? Why?"
Jocelyn was very calm.
"I think always staying at home and doing nothing are really boring. You can rest assured that I just want to work in the design department of Morrison Group as an ordinary assistant, and I have no other requirement."
