“You… you're simply being unreasonable!”
Cindy was angry, this guy even dared to talk back to her.
Especially now, with Noah Jiang's confident and firm gaze, compared to his previous inferiority and timidity, they seemed like two completely different people.
"Heh, seems like someone is overconfident. You'd better not harm us.” Ethan Chen stood with his arms crossed, coldly snorting at Noah Jiang.
He was jealous. Cindy was too beautiful, a beauty that could topple empires. How could she marry a loser like Noah Jiang? She should be marrying him instead.
Hearing Ethan Chen's sarcastic words, Cindy turned her gaze coldly and glanced at him, making him slightly embarrassed and even more jealous of Noah Jiang.
Noah Jiang chuckled and said to Cindy, “We'll know if I can treat it or not soon enough.”
“Fine, I want to see what you're capable of.”
Cindy was also getting annoyed. She stood to the side, arms crossed, watching Noah Jiang.
If he wasn't afraid of embarrassing himself, she wasn’t either.
“Ah, I want to kill you all!”
At this moment, the woman on the sickbed started screaming madly. Her voice was sharp and piercing. She struggled fiercely, scaring several surrounding nurses and doctors who covered their ears and retreated. They all thought this scream wasn’t something a human could make.
“She's going mad again, quickly, someone hold her down!”
Archie Zhao and Henry Chen immediately called for people to restrain the woman when they saw her acting crazily.
“Someone quickly treat my wife!” The woman's husband, Jude Wang, shouted anxiously.
Alfie Wang turned to Noah Jiang and said, “Young man, what are you waiting for? Act now!”
Knowing the urgency, Noah Jiang shouted at Ruth Chen, “Hand me the medical box.”
“Here, Brother Noah.”
Ruth Chen quickly handed over the medical box to Noah Jiang. He opened it and took out a set of silver needles. These needles were handed down from his grandfather and were a family heirloom, having cured countless patients.
“What are you planning to do?”
Seeing Noah Jiang with the silver needles, Archie Zhao anxiously said, “We still don't know her exact condition. If you rashly apply needles, you might just kill her.”
Henry Chen also looked at Noah Jiang anxiously. However, Noah Jiang was confident and said with a smile, “Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.”
“Fine, if anything happens, I'll take responsibility.”
Henry Chen gritted his teeth, deciding to take the risk.
Even Cindy, standing on the side, with her finely arched eyebrows, noticed that ever since Noah Jiang was hit by a car today, he seemed like a changed person.
She was curious to see if he could actually save this patient.
Noah Jiang approached the woman. He looked serious and took out a twenty-millimetre silver needle. It was enveloped by a burst of energy as he swiftly inserted it into the woman's Sky Spirit acupoint, shouting, “Hegu Needle, Blood Sea Spirit!”
“This... is this the Nine-turn Magic Needle Technique?”
Henry Chen was astonished. Seeing Noah Jiang using the Nine-turn Magic Needle Technique of the Jiang Medical Sect, he became excited.
He was familiar with George Jiang, Noah's grandfather, and knew about the renowned Nine-turn Magic Needle of the Jiang family.
The surrounding doctors, including Archie Zhao, even if they didn’t understand traditional Chinese medicine, could see from Noah Jiang's precise and swift movements that he was not an ordinary person.
“This guy... can he really use the Jiang Medical Sect’s Nine-turn Magic Needle Technique?” Ethan Chen was shocked. He knew about the Nine-turn Magic Needle but couldn't believe that Noah Jiang could use it.
And Cindy was curious. Of course, she didn't understand medical techniques, but judging from the reactions of the doctors, it seemed like Noah Jiang was surprisingly skilful.
“He’s quite capable.”
Alfie Wang noticed how swiftly and accurately Noah Jiang was using the needles and gave an approving nod. He then murmured to himself, wondering about Noah Jiang's other abilities.
“The second Fengquan Needle, Baihui Seal!”
Noah Jiang’s eyes were sharp as he inserted the second silver needle precisely into the woman’s Fengquan acupoint. He felt weakened, almost collapsing.
Using the Nine-turn Magic Needle Technique twice in one day was draining both mentally and physically.
“She... she's really not moving now.”
Seeing the young woman on the sickbed became calm as soon as Noah Jiang's second needle went in, it astonished Archie Zhao, Henry Chen, and other doctors. It was even more effective than the sedatives they had just injected.
"I never expected that traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture would have such an amazing effect. We administered so many sedatives, but couldn't calm her mania. I didn't expect your two silver needles to do the job." Archie Zhao looked at Noah Jiang in amazement, finding it unbelievable.
"Yes, traditional Chinese medicine is profound and enlightening," said another doctor.
The other doctors nodded in agreement. They had been skeptical of Noah Jiang at first, but his actual skills convinced them.
"Pff, what's so great about it? He's just a good-for-nothing living off a woman." Ethan Chen looked disdainful. Even though he saw Noah Jiang's medical prowess, he felt very uncomfortable inside.
Cindy Ye slightly raised an eyebrow and ignored Ethan Chen beside her. She looked at Noah Jiang in front of her and felt for the first time that she couldn't see through him.
"Young man, your medical skills are exceptional,"
Alfie Wang praised Noah Jiang and then chuckled, "But my daughter-in-law has another illness."
Noah Jiang turned to look at Alfie Wang and nodded, saying, "To cure the disease, you must first find its root. To completely cure her, we must first identify the root cause of her illness!"
"Where do you think it is?" Alfie Wang's eyes narrowed as he asked Noah Jiang.
Noah Jiang smiled, glanced at the young woman on the bed, and then told Alfie Wang, "Where she lives."
Alfie Wang nodded and looked at Noah Jiang, asking seriously, "Are you sure you can cure her?"
Noah Jiang shook his head and laughed, "No doctor would dare claim they can cure everything. We must first see the extent of her symptoms."
Alfie Wang frowned slightly, pondering Noah Jiang's words. After a moment, he nodded and said, "Let's stop here for today. Tomorrow morning I'll send someone to pick you up. Jude, take Luna home."
"Huh, no more treatment?" Jude looked puzzled, not understanding the situation.
Archie Zhao, Henry Chen, Ethan Chen, and the others also felt the same, hurriedly asking Alfie Wang, "Mr. Wang, the patient hasn't recovered yet. She can't leave the hospital. We have to..."
"Can you cure her?" Alfie Wang glared at Archie Zhao and reprimanded him coldly.
"I..."
"Professor Zhao, her condition is already stable. Besides, what she has isn't a disease that your hospital can cure," Noah Jiang turned and told Archie Zhao.
"But..."
Henry Chen tried to say something, but Alfie Wang stared him down, saying, "Rest assured, I won't pursue previous matters."
Hearing this, Ethan Chen became excited. They knew who Alfie Wang and Oscar were. If they targeted Uncle Henry's Clinic, the clinic wouldn't be able to operate peacefully on Traditional Chinese Medicine Street.
So, Alfie Wang had his son, Jude, carry Luna, and they left the hospital with Oscar and their group. Henry Chen, Archie Zhao, and the others could only watch helplessly as they left, feeling slightly relieved.
"Alright, let's go back too,"
Henry Chen told Archie Zhao. He called over Ethan Chen and Ruth Chen to prepare to leave. Looking at Noah Jiang, who had packed up his medical kit, he said, "Noah, come back with us."
"There's no need, Uncle Henry. I'll take a taxi home later. I need to check on Grandpa Ye again," Noah Jiang shook his head and smiled at Henry Chen.
He hadn't had a chance to check on Theo Ye after administering the acupuncture in the morning. So, he decided to go and check on him now. Thus, Noah Jiang left the patient's room first.
Naturally, Cindy Ye didn't linger. She greeted Professor Zhao and turned to follow Noah Jiang to her grandfather's room.
However, Ethan Chen, grinned at Cindy Ye, and said, "Miss Ye, this is my business card. If you're sick or have any scurried over questions, you can call me anytime..."
Cindy Ye turned, her eyes coldly looking at Ethan Chen, showing no intention of taking his card. She coldly said, "Only I can call my man useless. You guys aren't qualified to say that!"
"I..."
Ethan Chen was stunned, watching Cindy Ye walk away confidently. He gritted his teeth in frustration.
Ruth Chen, on the other hand, pouted because she liked Noah Jiang.
