"Hey bro, what are you doing here?" Lord Keighley, Zachary, frowned as he looked at Taddeo.
Zachary and Taddeo were both royal relatives, so they had some connections, but their status was vastly different. Zachary always looked down on Prince Taddeo, who was known for his extravagant lifestyle that tarnished the reputation of the royal family.
"Heh, brother, the Skybert Academy's big exam is a big deal for our Quewyn. I came to take a look and broaden my horizons, you know?"
Taddeo didn't care about Lord Keighley's disdain and instead focused his gaze on Master Yahto, saying, "Is this the Master Yahto from the Hall of Artifacts? I heard there were some misunderstandings between Master Yahto and the Caspian House. This is Ms. Cora, the wife of Marquis Nichols. Both Master Yahto and Marquis Nichols are elites of our Quewyn. If there are any misunderstandings, let's clear the air. But remember, don't hold grudges, so as not to ruin our relationship."
"Master Yahto, I didn't expect to meet you here. Quite unexpected."
Cora seized the opportunity and stepped forward, saying, "There were some misunderstandings between my Quickley family and the Master before, but that was just due to the ignorance of our younger generation. If there were any offenses, I hope Master Yahto can forgive. My son, Odell, has already been disciplined."
"Ms. Cora has nothing to explain to me. Your family's matters are of no concern to me," Yahto coldly retorted."
Cora has always had ill intentions towards Garfield and wanted to climb up the ladder using him," Yahto sneered inwardly.
Seeing Yahto unmoved, Cora continued, "To express our apologies, I have already expelled my disrespectful son, Garfield, along with his mother, Grace, from the Quickley family. They are no longer part of our family."
"This way, I can sincerely express our apologies to Yahto and win him back. Moreover, even if the old man wants to take back Grace and her son, this matter has become widely known in the capital. Considering the reputation of the Quickley family, he would have to make concessions," Cora calculated in her mind, a slight smile appearing on her lips.
On the side, Lord Keighley's eyes lit up when he heard the name Garfield, suddenly showing great interest and gazing over.
"What?"
Yahto's expression changed abruptly upon hearing this, beads of cold sweat appearing on his forehead. "Are you saying that Garfield was expelled from the Quickley family because of a conflict with me?"
"Exactly," Cora's eyes lit up, thinking she had gained Yahto's approval. She proudly continued, "That useless Garfield dared to offend you, Master Yahto. Our Quickley family simply expelled him, which was already a great mercy. In my opinion, he should have been crippled and made to kneel at the entrance of the Hall of Artifacts for ten days and nights to appease your anger, Master."
While Cora spoke with fervor, Yahto was drenched in cold sweat internally.
"If that's the case, Garfield must hate himself. The Quickley family is trying to kill him," Yahto seethed inwardly!
Yahto shivered, drenched in cold sweat.
"Master Yahto, are you alright?" Zachary noticed that something was off with Yahto and couldn't help but ask.
"I'm fine." Yahto suddenly snapped out of it, feeling a sinking feeling in his heart. At this point, he could only figure out a way to make amends.
Yahto shot a hateful glance at Cora, who was still talking incessantly and snorted, "Your Quickley family's matters are of no interest to me. Please leave, Ms. Cora."
Yahto waved his hand, his tone turning unfriendly.
Cora's smile froze, not knowing what had happened, but quickly composed herself and said, "Master Yahto, I sincerely want to reconcile with you. If there's anything about my Quickley family that you're not satisfied with, please tell me. As long as it's within my power, I won't refuse."
"Heh," Yahto sneered, his face showing contempt. "Ms. Cora, I dare not associate with your Quickley family. I have matters to discuss with Lord Keighley. Please leave quickly."
Yahto turned away, his face dark, not sparing Cora another glance.
Cora's face turned extremely unpleasant, unsure whether to leave or stay.
At this moment, Prince Adam, Taddeo, smiled and spoke, "Master Yahto..."
He wanted to interject and say something, but Yahto didn't give him any face at all. Without waiting for him to speak, he directly interrupted, "Prince Adam, it seems like I'm not familiar with you, so I won't stay any longer."
Yahto was filled with anger, "Taddeo still wants to have ideas about Grace. He doesn't even look at his conduct. If Garfield sees me with this person, wouldn't I be misunderstood again?"
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but sneer, "Prince Adam, as a member of the royal family, it's better to pay attention to your influence sometimes. Mixing around with married women all day, if others see it, they might think there's something inappropriate going on between you two."
"You..." Taddeo's face turned green and he was shaking with anger.
"Brother, Master Yahto is right. In the future, when you're with others, you should be more discreet. Don't just disregard everyone. Otherwise, it will tarnish the dignity of the royal family," Zachary coldly glanced at Taddeo.
Furious but unable to speak, Taddeo had to suppress his frustration, "Yes, Brother."
The two of them left dejectedly.
"Lady, how did the conversation with Master Yahto go?" Cora returned to her viewing platform, and Ubaid approached to ask.
Cora's face turned purple, a fierce look in her eyes, "Hmph, he's just a Second Realm Weapon Master, acting all high and mighty. Does he think he's the master of the Hall of Artifacts?"
Taddeo also had an unpleasant expression, "This Yahto is too arrogant."
Seeing the two of them in a rage, Ubaid knew they must have been humiliated just now, so he quickly retreated to the side, not daring to provoke them further.
"Master Yahto, don't be angry. Prince Adam has always been reckless. Don't let this kind of person affect your health," as soon as Cora and the others left, Zachary comforted Yahto.
Yahto nodded but remained silent, his brow furrowed. He pondered how he could dispel the bad impression he had left on Garfield. This Cora was really causing a lot of trouble.
Zachary looked at Yahto's furrowed brow, lost in thought. He gazed slightly towards where Garfield was, wondering what kind of person he was to make Master Yahto offend the Quickley family and Prince Adam for him.
After all, no matter what, the Quickley family was one of the foremost prestigious families in Quewyn. Although Yahto was a refiner in the Hall of Artifacts and didn't have to care about the attitudes of some families, it was still better not to offend powerful families like the Quickley family.
Interesting, that was truly interesting.
Zachary looked at where Garfield was, his gaze slightly narrowed, a meaningful smile on his face.
