Aubrey lay there with her eyes tightly shut, fainting away, a faint black aura lingering on her cheeks.
Maxwell checked her pulse and couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow! This poison is intense!"
Looking at the unconscious woman, Maxwell felt a bit troubled.
To save Aubrey or not to?
That would mean certain death for her if he chose not to.
If he saved her... What if she gained consciousness and went berserk?
After pondering for a moment, Maxwell sighed.
"My master taught me, as a healer, one should have boundless compassion!"
"Even if facing a mortal enemy falling ill before you, you should first cure the illness before dealing with them."
He took out a bag of silver needles from his pocket and then removed Aubrey's upper garment.
The expanse of her pure and delicate skin, like the finest porcelain, was exposed before Maxwell.
Maxwell couldn't help but marvel.
"Judging from her bone structure, she should be over thirty."
"But looking at her figure and skin, she looks like she's eighteen!"
"I wonder how she maintains her appearance..."
Setting aside his thoughts, he inserted the silver needles one by one into the acupoints between her chest and abdomen, then manipulated the needles with his internal energy to force out the poison.
The black aura on Aubrey's face gradually receded, flowing down her delicate collarbone, reaching her round and soft shoulders, coursing through her arms as smooth as lotus roots, and finally gathering at the tip of her delicate finger.
At this moment, Aubrey woke up.
She opened her eyes and was almost driven mad by the sight before her.
She was lying there without clothes on! She couldn't even move a finger.
Without needing to think, she was sure her innocence had been defiled by this wild brat. Aubrey glared at him with resentment and roared, "B*stard! I will kill you for sure!"
Maxwell snorted disdainfully, "Stop babbling. I'm detoxifying you!"
A thought flashed through Aubrey's mind. Could it be that this wild brat hadn't harmed her?
She secretly checked and found that the legendary pain hadn't appeared, only a tingling sensation at her fingertips.
Aubrey breathed a sigh of relief, but the humiliation she had just experienced fueled her desire for revenge. This man must die!
She said coldly, "Even if you save me, I will still kill you!"
Maxwell sneered. "Kill me? You need a few more years of practice for that."
Maxwell took her left hand and pricked a bloodstain on her fingertip. A few drops of black blood fell to the ground, emitting a strong smell.
It took a lot of effort for Maxwell to detoxify her, and he felt increasingly aggrieved. He had saved such a crazy woman.
No! He had to gain something for this.
So, he scrutinized Aubrey up and down, saying, "I find that although you're crazy, you're quite attractive, and your figure is really good."
Even someone as ruthless as Aubrey couldn't withstand such intense gazes from the opposite sex. The immense sense of shame almost drove her to lose her mind. "B*stard! I'll gouge out your eyes and feed them to the dogs!"
Maxwell squatted beside her with a smile, pinching her cheeks and patting them.
"Your little face is so tender like a ripe peach. Your skin is so smooth and soft!"
Aubrey was on the verge of madness. She had never dreamed of being humiliated like this by a wild brat.
She stared at Maxwell with hatred, saying, "I'll kill you even if I have to die trying!"
"Alright!" Maxwell sneered.
"Since you're so eager to kill me, why don't I kill you first?"
"However... a beauty like you shouldn't be killed directly!"
"I'll torture you first and kill you! Torture you in bed a hundred times!"
"Come on, beauty! Here's my manhood!"
With that, Maxwell reached out to unbuckle his belt.
"No!"
Aubrey's body hair stood on end, and she closed her eyes in fear. "B*stard! Even if I become a ghost, I won't let you off!"
...
Moments later, Aubrey opened her eyes full of confusion. There was no one in sight, only the cool breeze brushing over her body.
There was no penis. It was just a scare!
"B*stard! Damn it! How dare you deceive me!"
She clenched her fists, and her face reddened with anger like a ripe apple.
Only then did she realize that she could move again. She quickly got up and put on her clothes.
A murderous intent flashed in her eyes.
"B*stard, too bad I didn't kill him on the spot!"
"But, after I struck him, he only has three days to live!"
...
Maxwell walked back, feeling annoyed.
What bad luck!
He actually saved a crazy woman!
A stranger who immediately started yelling and threatening when she woke up.
Did he offend her family or something?
Although cursing inwardly, Maxwell knew that the woman was not simple.
Her strike was extremely vicious.
But to familiarize himself with poisons, Maxwell had consumed countless types of toxins. Although the woman's poison was formidable, it couldn't harm him in the slightest.
While detoxifying her, Maxwell discovered that her condition was critical. If it were anyone else, they would have died many times over. She must have been suppressing it with medication, but the effect seemed limited, or she wouldn't have fainted on the cliff.
"Her poison seems quite difficult to cure..." Under the influence of his medical instincts, he kept pondering ways to detoxify her, even when he entered the Jerome residence's gate.
By now, everyone was awake, and the Jerome family of three was already sitting at the dining table.
Seeing Maxwell's absent-minded appearance, Peter couldn't help but get annoyed, "Maxwell! What were you doing so early in the morning?"
"I went out to exercise," Maxwell casually replied.
"Exercise?" Peter pointed at his wet pants, "Look at you! Your hair is wet too. What were you really doing?"
"Hmm?" Maxwell was taken aback, looked down, and grinned sheepishly.
He was really careless! He was so busy with that crazy woman that he forgot to dry his shorts before putting on his clothes.
"Oh, I went swimming in the river."
"You went swimming in the river so early in the morning? Are you out of your mind?" Peter really didn't know what to say. He waved his hand and said, "Go change your clothes! Having someone like you at home is a disgrace to the Jerome family!"
Ignoring him, Maxwell smiled and went upstairs.
In his eyes, this couple was just a pair of fools. The more he looked at them, the more ridiculous they seemed.
Maxwell changed his clothes and came down, sitting down as if nothing had happened, and happily grabbed a bun, biting off half of it in one go. "Beef, my favorite!"
Watching him devour his food, Abigail was both annoyed and somewhat compassionate. She reminded him, "Since you're going out to do physical labor, you shouldn't exercise in the morning."
"Mm-hmm!" Maxwell casually replied, continuing to munch on his bun.
Seeing his behavior, Abigail could only shake her head and sigh.
...
After finishing his meal, Maxwell went out. For the next two days, he was constantly coming and going, practicing driving early and returning late. His driving skills improved rapidly, almost comparable to those of an experienced driver.
Finally, Victor returned from George's place.
Upon arriving home, he was surprised to find that Abigail was still ignoring Maxwell, and what made him even angrier was that the two of them were sleeping in separate rooms.
After breakfast, Victor spoke with a stern face, "Abigail, today is the weekend. Accompany Maxwell to the mall, help him get a new phone, and pick out some clothes. You guys should have lunch together before coming back."
