The next day, Alexander Xu returned from his usual workout and washed off the sweat. While showering, he decided to stop running from tomorrow. Low-intensity workouts no longer benefited his body, and he contemplated increasing his training intensity.
"Young Master, a group of men are waiting for you outside. They look quite intimidating. Should we call the police?" Uncle Tyler, the butler, hurriedly informed Alexander after he finished showering.
Actually, Tyler was worried Alexander had gotten into trouble again. Those men looked like desperadoes. If they weren't just waiting outside, he would have called the police already!
Alexander was delighted, knowing that the limping soldier had brought people. He told Uncle Tyler, "Lead them to the backyard and wait for me there."
Uncle Tyler obeyed, and Alexander eagerly wondered how many people the soldier had brought. From the butler's tone, it seemed like a considerable number.
When Alexander reached the backyard and saw twenty-five people standing steadily, he finally showed a satisfied smile. These men exuded strength and experience, and he could tell that almost every one of them had taken lives.
He was looking at a group of fierce men.
"What's your name?" Alexander asked the limping soldier for the first time.
"Brandon Li!"
"Not bad!" Alexander patted his shoulder and asked about the others, "Are they your friends?"
Brandon knew what Alexander was looking for and nodded, "I've been their instructor; they can be absolutely trusted."
"Good to know. From now on, you are their captain," Alexander declared, then asked, "Have you eaten?"
Brandon's face reddened slightly as he shook his head, "We came straight here early this morning and haven't had time to eat."
He was straightforward and not used to pleasantries. After meeting Alexander yesterday, he had pondered all night before making a decision. They had come over as soon as dawn broke, skipping even dinner the previous night.
"Then I'll have the kitchen prepare something for you. Eat first, and then come with me,"
Alexander said, unaware that this gesture significantly improved their impression of him. The wealthy people they had met before never treated them as humans, always commanding them around. Although they had left the military, their pride remained. That's why they preferred hardship over serving as bodyguards for others.
"Okay," Brandon replied and joined the rest in finding a place to sit, waiting for the meal arrangements.
Alexander Xu looked at his face and smiled: "What else do you want?"
"Young Master Xu, can you...pay me...one year's salary first..." Brandon Li said hesitantly. He was really a little embarrassed. He wanted to ask for one year's salary in advance before he had done anything, but he really needed the money urgently.
Alexander Xu smiled, didn't ask any questions, took out a card from his body, and handed it to him: "This card has ten million, and the password is six 8s..."
His actions immediately opened the eyes of those brought by Brandon Li. This was ten million, and he handed it over to an unfamiliar person without even blinking. Is this trust? This Young Master Xu does look a little different from those rich people!
"Young Master Xu, I don't need so much..." Brandon Li said quickly.
Alexander Xu handed a card to him and said, "I don't like dealing with trivial matters. Take this money. I'm not going to ask everyone about their family difficulties. Since you're their leader, you do it. If anyone has family troubles, you can use this money to help them..." Judging by their attire, Alexander knew they must all have some difficulties at home. With their skills, they wouldn't have ended up here if they had chosen the wrong path. Just for that, they deserved his help.
"Then on behalf of my brothers, I thank you, Alexander!" Brandon Li gratefully looked at Alexander. Indeed, many of his comrades had various difficulties at home, and this money could truly alleviate their families' struggles.
"Alright, find somewhere to sit. Someone will arrange for your meal soon. I should go have my lunch too!" Alexander waved his hand and left.
"Master Xu!" As Alexander was about to leave, a tall, dark man stopped him with a challenging tone, "I heard you're very skilled. Can you show us a demonstration?"
"Bang!"
Before the man finished speaking, he felt a gust of wind and was suddenly flying backward five or six meters, crashing to the ground and raising dust. By the time he regained his senses, he only heard Alexander's scolding, "Do you think I'm a monkey here to perform for you?"
Alexander knew these soldiers were proud and only respected those stronger than them. His display was also meant to intimidate these haughty men.
Brandon and the others temporarily stayed at the Xu's villa. The villa was large, with an entire building dedicated to bodyguards and servants, easily accommodating over twenty people.
That afternoon, Alexander fulfilled his promise and expelled the qi within Brandon's thigh, left by Jackson Iga.
The qi had blocked the nerves in his leg, causing his disability. After expelling it and using some herbs, he fully recovered within days.
"When do we start training?" Brandon asked eagerly after his leg was healed. He was desperate to gain the strength Alexander promised.
The past few days of getting along also made him admire Alexander Xu. He never imagined that Alexander Xu's seemingly thin body actually hid such a powerful power! He has seen how powerful the Dragon Group is, but in his eyes, Alexander Xu should be more powerful than the Dragon Group! He really couldn't understand why such a powerful person would be called a prodigal.
Alexander pointed at the others carrying bricks nearby, "Aren't they training right now? First, we need to stimulate their potential. Once the training equipment arrives, I'll draft a training plan for you to follow."
"Understood!" Brandon nodded and joined the others in their task.
The task of carrying bricks could have been done by machines, but Alexander insisted they do it, each carrying at least a hundred kilograms. The goal was to awaken their latent potential.
Half a month later, the building was almost fully furnished. With the Xu family's financial backing, all training equipment arrived in record time. As for the company's organizational structure, Alexander wasn't concerned.
He had planned to start training immediately, but William Xu and Hannah Lin insisted on a ribbon-cutting ceremony for good luck. Alexander guessed his father wanted to announce to the world that his son was no longer the notorious playboy.
The legal representative of the company was Brandon Li, with William Xu as the investor. Alexander had no official role, but everyone knew he was the real power behind the company.
Reluctantly, Alexander donned the uncomfortable suit again for the ceremony. The event was simple, and attended by executives from Prosperous World Group. Joseph You and the others wanted to support Alexander, but he thought it best they didn't, to avoid linking him directly to the company.
After the ceremony, Golden Shield Security Service Company was officially established. William Xu led the executives through each training room, with Brandon acting as a guide. Only Alexander wandered outside, waiting for them to leave so he could start training the men.
Lounging under a tree's shade, Alexander was approached by an excited Hannah Lin, "Alexander, you have great insight!"
"About what?" Alexander was puzzled by her comment.
"You don't know?" Hannah was surprised.
"Know what? Sister, what are you talking about?" Alexander was genuinely confused.
"Aren't you aware? Didn't you see the news this morning?" Hannah laughed, "Last night, Sofia Li was arrested for drug use, personally led by your brother-in-law! Thankfully, we didn’t choose her as our brand ambassador or our brand image would have plummeted!"
She was amazed at how things turned out.
"So you finally chose Victoria Qin?" Alexander hadn't paid attention to the matter since that day. After all, his comment was just a casual remark; the decision was still in Hannah's hands.
Hannah nodded, "I thought to give you an advantage, but it turned out to save our company's image."
Alexander sighed. He just casually mentioned it, yet his sister took his suggestion seriously.
The two casually chatted, soon shifting to the topic of the security company.
"Who did you recruit? They all seem like desperadoes," Hannah curiously asked.
She didn't understand martial arts, but she instinctively felt Alexander's men were dangerous, especially their intimidating eyes.
"Ha, they're all retired military men with real skills!" Alexander proudly said, "Now if I meet Chloe Song's bodyguards again, I would..."
