Jonathan suddenly burst in, startling the old man.
He looked at Jonathan and asked, "Who are you?"
"Never mind who I am, I'm asking you, who allowed you to touch my patient?" Jonathan questioned.
"Dr. Cornell, it's me," Noah hurriedly walked in, "I invited Dr. Welch. I thought..."
"Can't you think? What if this old man harms the patient?" Jonathan retorted impatiently.
His words embarrassed both Liam and Noah. They thought to themselves, 'The one without a brain is you. Even if you want to say it, wait until he leaves. Speaking now is like slapping him in the face.'
"Who are you to question my medical skills!"
As expected, the old man’s face showed a hint of anger.
"Question your skills? You're not worthy! Move aside, don't hinder me from treating the patient," Jonathan replied impatiently.
"You! Mr. Leigh, what does this mean?"
The old man, looking unhappy, asked Noah.
His name was Samuel Welch, a renowned doctor in Skyward State, referred to as the 'Holy Hand' by the medical community.
In all his years of practice, he had never been spoken to like this.
Noah was embarrassed and didn't know how to explain. Who would have thought Jonathan would be as outspoken as yesterday!
Grace was annoyed, "Jonathan, stop your nonsense, do you know who this is? He is the esteemed 'Holy Hand' Samuel!"
"A 'Holy Hand'? What use is that? I've heard his diagnosis just now. If he can call himself a 'Holy Hand' with such skills, then I am a 'Medicine God'! Diagnosing randomly, what a joke!"
Jonathan spoke without any courtesy.
Liam and Noah were shocked into silence. They hadn't expected Jonathan to be so audacious, daring to insult Samuel in public.
Grace was even more furious. The Dr. Welch she had gone to so much trouble to invite was being insulted!
Samuel's face also turned ugly. He had been practicing for many years, called the 'Holy Hand' in the medical community, had cured numerous complex diseases. And now, he was accused of diagnosing randomly by a young man...
"I, Samuel, have been practicing medicine for many years. I have always been fair and responsible towards my patients, never diagnosing randomly. Young man, if you don't clarify your words today, I won't let this go!" Samuel angrily said.
Liam also said, "Yes, Dr. Cornell. Dr. Welch is a medical expert. Is there some misunderstanding?"
"Misunderstanding? Claiming a severely ill patient has 'excess heat' in his body. I think from now on you should not be called Dr. Welch, but 'Welch Excess Heat'." Jonathan responded.
"What nonsense are you talking about! I just took the patient's pulse. His pulse was normal, only showing excess heat in his body, hence his discomfort!"
Jonathan retorted with disdain, "Really? I think the old gentleman's organs are deteriorating, causing insomnia, dreams, and dizziness. If you use your terrible acupuncture technique, and cause Mr. Leigh's death, old man, that's murder."
"This..."
Liam was stunned, not knowing whose words to trust, but he felt that both of them made sense.
"Nonsense! Absolute nonsense! The natural decline of organ function in the elderly is a natural phenomenon, a principle of nature, how could it be a problem!" Samuel angrily responded.
"If you don't understand medical techniques, stop buzzing in my ear. Your buzzing is annoying, go away. I can make Mr. Leigh stand up now, believe it or not?"
"Impossible! The patient's legs are beyond cure, how could you possibly cure him!"
"What if I do cure him, what then?" Jonathan asked.
"If you cure him, I will bow down and acknowledge you as my teacher!" Samuel said angrily.
"Okay, it's settled then. If you lose, you bow down to me, if I lose, I apologize to you, deal?"
"Fine, let's do as you say! I want to see how good a medical skill can a brat like you have!"
Grace glared at Jonathan. This bastard was using her grandfather's illness as a bet. If anything happened to her grandfather, she would not let him go!
Jonathan dragged Samuel aside, came to the bed and asked, "Mr. Leigh, your legs and feet aren't responsive?"
"Yes, sometimes the pain is unbearable, sometimes it feels like it's in a steam cage, sometimes there's no sensation at all. Dr. Cornell, what's happening to me?"
Jonathan said, "Nothing, just blocked meridians, a minor issue."
Samuel widened his eyes. Liam's legs were a problem even he couldn't solve, and this kid called it a minor issue!
Jonathan checked Liam's pulse again and had a rough idea of the treatment method.
At this moment, Grace couldn't help but speak, "Hey, can you cure it or not? Don't waste time here!"
"Why are you interfering in men's business? Go aside, or I'll spank you!" Jonathan turned back and glared at Grace.
"You... rogue!" Grace's face turned red.
"Grace, don't be rude!" Noah immediately said.
For some reason, he felt that Jonathan was capable. This young man might really be able to cure his father's disease.
Jonathan smiled and said, "Mr. Leigh, don't worry, others may not be able to cure your disease, but I can. I'll have you standing up soon."
Having said that, Jonathan took the Supreme Divine Needle out of his pocket.
Seeing the ancient needle box, Samuel had a slight movement in his heart.
In the eyes of a traditional Chinese doctor, a silver needle is like a soldier's gun or a western doctor's scalpel. One can tell the skill of a traditional Chinese doctor from his silver needle.
Being a medical expert, he recognized at a glance that this set of silver needles was extraordinary.
Jonathan took out a silver needle, rolled up Liam's trouser leg, gathered his internal energy, and directly pierced Liam's thigh.
"Hiss!"
Liam took a deep breath. For some reason, he felt like there was a flow of energy passing through the spot where the needle was inserted.
"How do you feel, old man?" Jonathan asked.
"Nothing... wait, it's cool! I feel a bit cool in my legs!" Liam exclaimed in surprise.
Everyone was shocked. They knew about Liam’s leg problem. His legs were often unbearably hot, like being in a steam cage. When had they ever felt cool?
Seeing this, Jonathan took a deep breath and continued to stimulate his internal energy.
Samuel, on the other hand, was dumbfounded.
This technique... There’s no mistake, it must be the legendary Supreme Divine Needle!
Oh my God, he could see the Supreme Divine Needle in his lifetime!
While Samuel was in shock, Jonathan had already withdrawn the needle, then said, "Alright, old man, try and see if you can stand up."
Is it cured just like that?
Liam was stunned, so were Noah and Grace. They just saw Jonathan casually insert a needle, and then... it's cured?
"Is it really cured, you're not tricking us, are you?" Grace couldn't help but ask.
"Hair grows long, knowledge grows short. Why don't you let the old man try and see for himself," Jonathan retorted impatiently.
Upon hearing this, Liam said, "Alright, then... then I'll try."
After saying that, Liam supported himself on the edge of the bed and started to try moving his legs.
Liam's face turned red as he tried to control his legs. Suddenly, he felt a connection with his legs. They started to shake slightly, and then, they moved a bit!
"They moved! Dad, your legs can move!" Noah exclaimed excitedly.
Liam was also visibly excited. He tried hard to stand up but for some reason, his legs were still not responding.
Jonathan grew impatient, slapped Liam on the shoulder, and roared, "Hey! Stand up!"
The sudden shout startled everyone. Liam was shocked and jumped up from the bed, standing on the ground.
"Why are you shouting, you scared me to death!" Liam reflexively shouted.
Jonathan looked at Samuel with a triumphant expression.
"How about it, did he stand up?"
