"Are you okay?" Jonathan asked anxiously as he quickly untied Isabella.
Isabella grabbed his arm, her face pale with fear. "Jonathan, you need to leave now! They're going to kill you."
"Don't worry. A few people like this can't do anything to me," Jonathan reassured her calmly.
At that moment, Avery rushed over to help Joshua, her face filled with distress as she saw her brother unconscious. "Jonathan! How dare you! Master Yannis, kill him!"
Yannis stepped forward, his voice cold and indifferent. "So, you're Jonathan?"
Jonathan's fists clenched tightly, his eyes blazing with anger. "Screw you!"
This was the first time Jonathan had been this enraged. He had tolerated being looked down on by Abigail and ridiculed by Andrew, but this was different. They had dared to kidnap Isabella, and that had pushed him over the edge.
From his point of view, he could endure any torment, but no one was allowed to harm those he cared about.
"You brat, you're asking for death!" Yannis's face darkened. He hadn't expected this kid to dare speak to him like that.
"Enough with the talking. After I deal with you, I'll settle things with the Cooper family." Jonathan gently patted Isabella's hand. "Step back, or you might get splattered with blood."
"Jonathan..." Isabella's voice trembled with worry. She feared he might get hurt.
"Hah! Just a cocky boy with no sense of his own limits," Yannis sneered.
Jonathan, unbothered, snapped back, "Quit the talking and start fighting! Why so much nonsense?"
Without hesitation, Jonathan charged straight at Yannis.
Seeing this, Avery's lips curled into a disdainful smile. "He dares to challenge Master Yannis? He's courting death!" She had witnessed Yannis's strength before—he could break bricks with a single hand and crush rocks with his fists. He was a true master!
As Jonathan rushed forward, Yannis sneered with contempt. "You've got some guts, kid, but no brains. You think you can face me head-on?"
In the blink of an eye, Yannis took a step forward, raising his hand and sending it straight for Jonathan's face. His speed was incredible, his movements swift and deadly. From the moment he moved, it was almost too fast to see.
Avery smiled arrogantly, confident that Jonathan would learn the consequences of offending the Cooper family.
"Yannis, don't kill him!" Avery called out. "I want him alive so I can cut him into pieces."
"Don't worry, Miss Zhao. He's all yours after I'm done," Yannis replied confidently. He was certain that Jonathan was no match for him, but in the next moment, his expression changed dramatically.
Jonathan was suddenly right in front of him, throwing a punch directly at his face.
Yannis barely registered what was happening before Jonathan's fist connected. The sheer force of the blow sent Yannis flying backward, crashing into a tree several meters away.
Jonathan stood there, looking at Yannis with disdain. "So this is what a ‘master' is?"
As he turned toward Avery, Yannis suddenly spoke again.
"Haha, I didn't expect you to be so fast. I underestimated you," Yannis said, standing back up. "But I'm a warrior. With your pitiful strength, you can't defeat me!"
Jonathan raised an eyebrow, surprised. "No wonder you call yourself a master. You've got a thick skull."
He knew the power behind his punch, yet Yannis seemed unharmed. The punch had landed squarely on his face, but Yannis had barely flinched.
"Kid, you think you're invincible just because you know a little Kung Fu? I'm a true warrior, and I'll show you what real power is!" Yannis growled, his true energy surging as he prepared for his next attack.
Real Kung Fu? Perfect timing, Jonathan thought. Fourth Master had told him that those who had cultivated internal energy possessed true energy, marking them as warriors. Jonathan had long wanted to test his strength against a real warrior. Knowing that Yannis was a warrior ignited a fighting spirit within him.
"Accept your fate, kid!" Yannis roared, charging at Jonathan with a fist full of true energy.
"You're the one who deserves it!" Jonathan countered, activating the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon, his true energy flowing through his core and into his arm.
Seeing that Jonathan intended to confront him head-on, Yannis sneered. "Hmph, if you want to meet me head-on, I'll show you what it feels like to have your bones shattered!"
Boom!
Their fists collided, producing a loud explosion of energy. A white mist rose between them, swirling unpredictably and carrying terrifying power.
"Ahhh!" Yannis screamed as he was sent flying backward, crashing more than ten meters away.
In just one move, Yannis was completely defeated.
Jonathan spat on the ground, his voice dripping with disdain. "I thought you were strong. Is this all you've got?"
Isabella stared in disbelief. She never imagined Jonathan was this skilled in combat.
Yannis, on the other hand, was in shock. His eyes widened as pain shot through his arm. He couldn't believe it—this young man was also a warrior, and even stronger than him! It was impossible! Yannis had trained for 20 years, just recently becoming a martial warrior. How could this kid surpass him at such a young age?
Bang!
Yannis's body slammed into a wall, creating a half-moon-shaped hole. He coughed up blood and fell unconscious.
Avery stood frozen in disbelief. She rubbed her eyes, thinking she must be dreaming, but when she looked again, Yannis was still lying in the hole.
"How is this possible? Master Yannis... defeated? He's a warrior!" Avery's mind raced, trapped in a terrifying nightmare.
Yannis had boasted about his strength, and Avery had trusted him, but she never expected him to be defeated in just two moves.
Jonathan turned his gaze to Avery, his eyes cold and unforgiving. "The Cooper family has caused me enough trouble. Today, we settle this once and for all."
