Benjamin was speechless for a moment, not knowing what to say.
Charlotte advised, "I know you haven't gotten over Olivia yet, but a woman like her hides too much and is just a snobbery. You'd better forget about her quickly and move on!"
"Mom, I understand. Don't worry. I have already forgotten about Olivia!" Benjamin quickly comforted her.
In fact, from the moment Olivia betrayed him, Benjamin had utterly forgotten her.
But as for Elizabeth, Benjamin didn't know her thoughts, so he didn't think much about it.
Elizabeth followed Charlotte and kept introducing her to smart home appliances. Charlotte felt so eye-opening. After living for so many years, she never thought there were such advanced things in the world.
Charlotte could also see that the reason why Elizabeth was so enthusiastic towards her was definitely not because she had a similar temperament with her, but probably because of her connection with Benjamin.
She started thinking about it; how great it would be if Elizabeth could be her daughter-in-law.
So he asked tentatively, "Elizabeth, do you have a boyfriend?"
A blush immediately appeared on Elizabeth's face, and she hurriedly said, "Aunt, not yet!"
Charlotte felt happy. If she didn't have a boyfriend, that would be easy.
So, she kept saying good things about Benjamin in front of Elizabeth, such as being careful, down-to-earth, respectful, and obedient. It was too evident that she was promoting Benjamin to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth glanced at Benjamin secretly. She knew Benjamin's attitude was crucial, and this kind of thing could not be rushed.
On the contrary, Avery and the others looked like they had been slapped hard several times. Their faces were all red, and they were so embarrassed that they wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl in.
Grace's mind kept spinning, and the look in her eyes at Michael beside her was a little different, full of contempt.
In the past, she thought Michael was good. The sales department manager of a large company could earn a salary of more than 30,000 dollars a month. After a few years of hard work, he could make a down payment and buy a house in Eastern Sea City, where land was costly.
Comparatively, Benjamin completely dazzled her eyes. It was a high-end villa, not to mention living in it; she hadn't even seen one before.
If she could become Benjamin's girlfriend, wouldn't she be able to live here directly, making her besties jealous to death?
Grace approached Benjamin with a smile, saying, "Hello, Mr. Lincoln; I'm sorry about my attitude earlier. I didn't know your status. Would you be interested in getting to know each other?"
Grace looked pretty good, surpassing Olivia, but she was far behind compared to Elizabeth. Elizabeth's noble and elegant demeanor was not something ordinary people could possess.
When Michael saw his girlfriend taking the initiative to show her interest in Benjamin, he immediately became furious and rushed over, "Grace, what are you doing? Don't forget, you are my girlfriend!"
Grace snorted, "So what? Even if I were your wife, there's always divorce."
"You..." Michael's body trembled with anger. He didn't expect Grace, who was usually gentle and considerate, to say such words today.
Benjamin looked at the two people coldly. "You two really fit the saying, 'Those who are not of the same kind do not enter the same door.'"
"What do you mean?" Grace was stunned for a moment.
Benjamin said impatiently, "I can't stand a woman like you. Okay, please leave quickly. We just moved today, and we still have to sort things out. Goodbye, no need to see you out!"
Grace was deeply shocked. Benjamin rejected her unceremoniously, which made her feel a little uncomfortable.
She regretted endlessly in her heart. She knew she could not be sarcastic about Benjamin earlier, but now she had missed an excellent opportunity to catch a rich husband.
Avery and the other two left the villa dejectedly, looking as downcast as defeated roosters.
Afterward, Charlotte busied herself in the kitchen, prepared a table full of delicious dishes, and invited Elizabeth to eat with her. Elizabeth, not holding back, praised Charlotte's cooking skills, bringing a continuous smile to Charlotte's face, clearly delighted.
After eating, Elizabeth helped clean up the house and stayed until the afternoon before leaving.
After waiting until Elizabeth left, Charlotte couldn't help but feel a sense of longing; she liked the young girl.
…
It was in a high-end community in Eastern Sea City.
Jacob frowned and threw his phone heavily on the sofa.
A flamboyantly dressed lady, looking worried, asked, "How is it? Is Samuel's phone still unreachable?"
Jacob growled, "This kid doesn't stay in the ward as he should. I don't know what he's up to. He's been missing for several days now!"
The lady tried comforting him, "Samuel is still young, and maybe he's just having too much fun outside and doesn't want to return. He'll probably return once he's had enough."
Jacob frowned, "No, I think there's more to it. I've called all his friends these past few days, and none have seen him. I have a bad feeling... he might be in trouble."
"What?" the lady's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly responded, "Jacob, don't scare me. We only have a son, Samuel, and nothing must happen to him!"
"Damn it, this kid just can't give us a break!"
Jacob was furious, pointed at the lady, and cursed: "It's all your fault. You spoil this kid too much!"
The lady's tears instantly flowed down, and she said tearfully, "Isn't this my only son? Who else am I supposed to dote on? Besides, I've told him not to hang out with those bad influences, but he never listens to me. And you are always busy with outside matters and neglecting the home. Now you're blaming me for everything. Boo-hoo... I'm really suffering here. There's just no good man around..."
The woman's crying frustrated Jacob even more, and he couldn't help shouting, "Shut up, shut up, stop your whining!"
Then, he frowned and said in a deep voice, "The most important thing now is to find Samuel. We need to see him alive; even if he's dead, we have to see the body!"
The woman immediately stood up from the sofa, "Yes, we must find him quickly. Whether he is kidnapped or held captive, we must find a way to save him first!"
Jacob thought for a long time, picked up his cell phone from the sofa, found a number, and dialed it.
A smile immediately appeared on his face, "Brother Joseph, to be honest, I need your help with a little thing... Oh, it's my good-for-nothing son... I don't know where this kid has gone. Please, Brother Joseph, help find out where he is now!"
