A man with a broad-backed large knife, his face dark and rugged, approached.
Carver quickly pulled Giselle behind him, glancing at the garbage bin that had just flown and smashed into the car. The tough surface of the bin bore a sharp mark, evidently cleaved by the man before them.
"He is one of the The Goffe Five, Sean!"
Giselle whispered in astonishment.
As Sean approached, he faced the enchanting woman behind Carver, "You actually recognize me, who are you?"
Carver signaled Giselle not to speak, his eyes lingering on Sean, "So, you're Caesre's senior brother. But how did you target me so quickly?"
There was a sense of dustiness about him.
Sean dispersed Giselle's confusion about knowing him, raised the large knife in his hand, and pointed it at Carver, "I didn't come here to chat with you. Now, I'll give you a chance to live. Cut off your own legs and come with me, cure Mr. Clement and my junior brother, or die!"
Accompanied by the warning, he released his complete yellow-level aura.
The veins on his arm holding the knife bulged, presenting a terrifying appearance.
It seemed that as long as Carver dared to say a dissenting word, he would directly cleave him with a single stroke!
Carver smiled faintly, "Now, if you cut off your own legs, I can let you live. Otherwise, you'll die!"
Daring to throw back his words like this.
Sean sneered, "No coffin, no tears!"
He charged towards Carver, ready to teach him a lesson and make him realize the gap between them.
Carver easily avoided with a graceful movement, and Sean's large knife swung empty, directly chopping into the wall pillar. The sharp blade broke off a corner of the pillar, and a fist-sized piece of cement flew over, cutting Giselle's thigh.
She winced in pain, "Damn it, are you using me as a shield?"
Carver turned around only to discover Giselle was injured, blood staining her fair and slender thigh, a sight both piercing and distressing.
"Stay aside!"
Pushing Giselle to the side, Carver turned back to confront Sean.
Sean's attacks were fierce and could easily cause collateral damage to others. Carver couldn't let him accidentally harm Giselle, or explaining to Foster would be difficult.
"Not bad, kid. I won't cut off your legs!"
Seeing that Carver didn't retreat but instead rushed towards him, Sean felt a sense of disdain and provocation. He roared, raising the large knife high, seemingly intending to cleave Carver into two halves.
Watching this perilous scene, Giselle exclaimed, "Be careful!"
Carver sneered, "A brute relying on brute force, why worry?"
This remark further angered Sean. His initial seventy percent strength suddenly surged to a hundred percent.
"Die!"
However, Carver neither dodged nor avoided, slapping the blade with his bare hands. Seeing Carver's seemingly scornful attitude, Sean thought Carver was too naive, thinking he could deflect his attack with a single palm.
But in the next moment, a heavy force came through the blade, making his wrist painful. He loosened his grip on the knife, the back of his hand tearing, blood streaming.
"How could this happen?"
A single slap managed to injure him, making him unable to hold the knife.
Carver effortlessly caught the falling large knife, swung it down in a reverse grip. Sean finally panicked, "No, my master is Goffe..."
Thud!
The large knife fell from Sean's forehead, his words cut off abruptly. He stood there as if in a trance, eyes wide open, silent.
After a moment, a bloodstain extended from his forehead to his jaw. Sean's body then fell backward, eyes still wide open, devoid of any sign of life.
Carver, as if doing something inconsequential, casually tossed the large knife to the ground.
With a clatter, Giselle snapped back to reality, her expression complex, "You killed Sean?"
This Sean was the master of the Ten Champions, Yama Goffe.
"The entire Dragon Kingdom, apart from the Five Excellences, there aren't many who can surpass him!"
Carver clapped his hands and said, "Didn't you see that he wanted to kill me?"
Since someone wanted to kill him, he had to be prepared to counter-kill.
Unexpectedly, the seemingly harmless Carver had such a ruthless side. Giselle felt that her understanding of him had been refreshed, "Wait a moment, I'll have someone come to handle this."
Carver glanced at Sean's body, "Pack it up and send it to the city hospital, let Gaylen handle it."
With a skipped beat in her heart, Giselle couldn't help but exclaim, "Are you really going to do this?"
This was not just provoking Gaylen; it was almost contemptuous even to Yama. She felt that quietly handling it would be better.
"Wouldn't they still think it's unrelated to me if they don't go to the body?"
"Uh... I understand!"
...
After handling the scene, Carver completed the check-in procedures while carrying the injured Giselle. With her injured leg, having supper was definitely out of the question.
"Carver, I think it would be more comfortable if someone with my figure sleeps in your arms. What do you think?"
Just entering a double-bedroom suite, Giselle hooked her arm around Carver's neck and deliberately exhaled against his neck.
Carver's ears grew warm. He thought to himself, this enchantress, and tossed her directly onto the sofa, infuriating Giselle who shouted, "Carver, I'm an injured person now. Is this how you treat an injured person?"
"No nonsense, let me deal with your wound."
He took out a small bottle of disinfectant alcohol obtained at the front desk and a roll of gauze. Carver lifted Giselle's injured thigh onto a trash can without waiting for her to react, and poured the disinfectant alcohol down.
Intense pain surged from the wound, causing Giselle's facial features to distort. Unable to bear it, she yelled in pain, "Carver, you heartless scum, don't rush, it hurts!"
"Come on, is my brother that powerful? Did he make a woman scream to the point of breaking her voice?"
"Truly a model for our generation. Is it a secret or natural talent?"
The cries of pain were heard by two men passing by the door, and both couldn't help but marvel and envy.
Giselle, frustrated, muttered under her breath, "Nonsense. If that were the case, I would only scream comfortably." She also began to grit her teeth, afraid of being misunderstood again.
After disinfection, Carver took out a small porcelain bottle and poured some powdered medicine onto Giselle's wound. The bleeding wound immediately stopped bleeding and visibly coagulated and scarred at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Giselle exclaimed in shock, "What kind of trauma medicine is this?"
The speed of stopping bleeding and scarring was extraordinary.
Carver took the gauze and wrapped it around her wound. "It's none of your concern!"
Responding to his lack of understanding of romance, Carver entered one of the bedrooms, closing the door behind him, "Don't disturb my rest, or I'll kick you out!"
"Stinky little brother!"
As Giselle became increasingly familiar with Carver, she now had less awe of him. Muttering to herself, she dialed Foster's number, recounting the events of tonight.
Afterward, a long silence on the other end of the call was broken by Foster saying, "Even if Dr. Larsen offends Yama, the Wade family will support him to the end!"
