Tyler Luo swallowed nervously, "Officer, may I leave now?" "Officer?" Tyler Luo called out several times, and finally, Abigail Ning waved her hand in annoyance, "Go ahead." It was really frustrating. Was it just his imagination at first? This guy didn't seem suspicious at all. As a detective, it's essential to master psychological tactics and observation skills, and he was pretty good at it. He had been watching this man closely, especially his eyes, but he couldn't find any clues. Either the other person was too clever, or he was just an ordinary person. But regardless of the situation, he had no excuse to detain him. "But, Tyler Luo, is it?" Abigail Ning narrowed her eyes, pondering something. On the other side, Emily Wang, who had just finished giving her statement, came out but couldn't see Tyler Luo anywhere. "Comrade, where is the man who came with me earlier? Hasn't he come out yet?" "He left before you." "What?" Emily Wang immediately ran after him, but she couldn't see Tyler Luo outside anymore. The recent hostage situation had caused quite a stir, but it was gradually forgotten by the citizens after a few days. For many, it wasn't a part of their lives, just a topic of conversation. The streets were always bustling in this newly built city. "This is the third ring road, the rent shouldn't be too expensive here." Tyler Luo hadn't seen many suitable houses that morning. "Sigh, to avoid being tricked by agents, I have to look at the rental listings myself." Tyler Luo was directionless, finding it easier to fight than to adapt to this ordinary life. He took out his phone and browsed the local rental listings in Fenghuang City, beginning his search for a place to stay like many others in the city. The buildings in Fenghuang City, designed by Dawn Group, were aesthetically pleasing and efficiently spaced, making the apartments here quite similar. These properties were sold years ago and no longer belonged to Dawn Group. "One bedroom, one living room, four thousand." Tyler Luo was dazzled by the rental listings, finding it more headache-inducing than sorting through enemy profiles. But a three-thousand rent in Fenghuang City wasn't cheap, considering the average income was just over eight thousand. Spending half the income on rent was unsustainable. "Huh?" Just as he was about to close the browser, he saw an attractive listing. "Three bedrooms, one living room for rent. One room?" Tyler Luo couldn't help but read on. The landlord seemed to be a woman, living in one room and renting out another, with one left. What really caught his eye was the last line: the landlord and the current tenant were women, so they were looking for a physically strong man as the last tenant. Tyler Luo chuckled, wondering if these two women were longing for a man. It was the only thing that made him smile that day. With nothing else to do and the listing nearby, he called the number. Soon, the call was answered. "Hello?" Indeed, it was a woman's voice on the other end. With years of experience, Tyler Luo could tell she was around 25 years old. "Miss Zhuang? I saw your listing on the website about a room for rent in a three-bedroom apartment. Is it still available?" Tyler Luo found it amusing to be renting a place like this. "How old are you?" Miss Zhuang suddenly asked. "Is 23 okay?" "You can come and see the place, but I have some requirements for the tenant, so I should tell you in advance. Even if you like the room, I might not rent it to you." "That's quite a high demand." "Yes, do you still want to come and see it?" "Why not, is the address the same as the one listed online?" "Yes, I'm at home right now." "I'll be there in about twenty minutes. I'm nearby. Where should I wait?" "Just at the entrance of the complex, near the security booth. You can't get in without a card, so wait outside. Call me when you arrive, and I'll be there in three minutes." "Okay, see you soon." After hanging up, Tyler Luo was curious: "I wonder why this woman is so picky about tenants. Well, I've got nothing better to do, so I might as well check it out." Fifteen minutes later, Tyler Luo arrived at the complex entrance. He called the woman and waited a bit before seeing a woman in a white dress approaching. Not sure if it was her, but the sight of her in the white dress caught his eye. She seemed tall, probably over 168 cm, even 170! Wearing flat sandals, the dress hem barely reached her knees, revealing long, fair legs. She walked towards Tyler Luo with grace and maturity, a stark contrast to the youthful exuberance of younger women. Her mature and curvy figure also caught his attention. Even though she was naturally beautiful, Tyler Luo only glanced briefly, his mind occupied with other thoughts. He had seen many beauties in his life and was no longer a novice in the game of love. "Are you Tyler Luo?" She asked, having heard his name over the phone. She noticed how he looked at her and felt a bit of appreciation when he averted his gaze. She didn't like the way most men looked at her, but his gaze, though intense, wasn't too offensive. "Yes, I am." "Alright, follow me. The apartment is near the road on the eighth floor, not too high or low. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Elizabeth Zhuang, a designer." Her polite tone was tinged with a hint of coldness, not intentional but natural. Tyler Luo was used to such behavior from beautiful and successful women. Following Elizabeth Zhuang, he intentionally lagged a few steps behind, admiring her figure but not for too long. "Miss Zhuang, may I ask a question?" They arrived at the door on the eighth floor, and Tyler Luo couldn't help but ask. The environment was quite nice, and renting a room here wouldn't be too bad for him. "Are you wondering why I specifically want a male tenant?" Elizabeth Zhuang suddenly asked, tucking a stray hair behind her ear with a gesture full of charm. "Yes, I'm really curious." Tyler Luo met her gaze, trying to discern something. Elizabeth Zhuang smiled, "It's nothing much, just want a man to ward off those frivolous ones. Does that count as a reason?" Tyler Luo opened his mouth but couldn't find the words, eventually shaking his head with a bitter smile. He followed her inside and saw the three-bedroom apartment was quite nice, with a blue pastoral style décor, a spacious living room, and even a second floor. The furniture and decorations were very comforting. It was a warm and cozy home. "What do you think, Mr. Luo? Are you satisfied?" Elizabeth Zhuang showed Tyler Luo around the house and then returned to the living room to sit down.
