Then, he yanked Nora Chen's hair and lifted her up.
Nora Chen was filled with dread. She instinctively shook her head, tears streaming down her face. With all her strength, she managed to say, "Ferrid Chu, please, please don't kill me. My father will agree to any conditions. I beg you, don't kill me!"
"Yes! Yes! Ferrid Chu, be calm. You tell us what conditions you want, and I'll agree!" Euan Chen no longer had the same confidence as before; his tone was filled with pleading.
"Heh heh, to let her die so quickly would be too kind!" Ferrid Chu dragged Nora Chen over to Hazel Tang and Chu Xin.
Hazel Tang and Chu Xin, their expressions nearly identical, were filled with astonishment and doubt. But in their eyes, an endless joy began to well up.
"Ferrid Chu, you... you're really alive!" The two women cried simultaneously!
Although Hazel Tang couldn't see Ferrid Chu, she recognized his voice instantly.
Ferrid Chu nodded deeply, then turned to Nora Chen and commanded, "Kneel down and apologize to my sister and Hazel!"
