Chapter 12: Divorce?

Cathy felt foolish.He didn't love her.He won't be happy to have children.Fortunately, her plan didn't work out, otherwise the child would not have a complete family.
“I wrote $2.5 million on the check. I hope I can help you.”Matt handed her a check.She took the check and did not refuse. She said firmly that she would pay it back in a year.
Cathy took a pen and paper from her bag and wrote him an IOU.
“No,you do not need to do this.I believe you.”Matt said,”After all, your father is my teacher.For me, this money means nothing.You don't have to worry about paying it back.”
"No, if you don't accept the IOU, I won't borrow the money."she pushed the check back, firmly said.
Matt had to fold the IOU and collected it in his pocket,"I will accept it, but it doesn't count interest."
When she wanted to say something, he jokingly said, "if you feel shy, you can help me teach my daughter how to read. She doesn't like going to kindergarten."
She promised him, "No problem.After all, I study well."
He said with a smile,”I know ,you graduated from Columbia University.”
To show her gratitude to him, she was going to invite them to dinner.Just then his phone rang.It was from the office.He had urgent business to deal with suddenly , so he had to leave.
"Sorry, I'll dine with you next time."Then he took his daughter and left.So she had to drive to the market to buy food.
When she came home, she found Tyrone at the door. His face was cold.She wondered why he was here.She even regretted giving him her home address.
When he saw her, he ran up to her and asked her angrily, "why did you move?"
“That's your house which has nothing to do with me.Besides, my mother is not well these days and I need to move here to take care of her."
"How do you explain this?Why do you want to divorce me?"He took out the marriage papers.
At the noon,he thought that Cathy maybe discharged from hospital.So he bought vegetables and went back home.But the house was very quiet, no any sound.
He went into the bedroom, saw the empty table and he found that Cathy clean up her things, only two coats left in the wardrobe.

Inexplicable, he felt a little flustered, even did not know why Cathy wanted to leave.
He called her quickly, but nobody got through.He kicked the wardrobe angrily.
What the hell happened?Why did she divorce me?
When he calmed down, he suddenly remembered that she had told her mother the address of her home.He rummaged through all the cupboards at once.Finally he found a note with the address on it in a cupboard .He hurried to her mother's house at once, and waited for her downstairs for a long time.
“Yes, I want to divorce you."She said dryly, glancing at the divorce papers."I know you don't love me.Why do we have to live together?Does it make sense?"
The calm look on her face made him angry, and he held her hand tightly.She scattered her vegetables on the floor。"We agreed to get divorced four years later.You can not leave me now."
“So what?I am tired”She said and stared at him.“You don't love me.Tell me, did you ever love me?"
