Chapter 23 Causing Hatred

On the way to send her back, Paddy, who was tired from crying, fell asleep before reaching her house.

He laid flat on the back seat. Helen took off her coat and covered him with it.

She spoke after thinking, “Please drive slower. He’s sleeping at the back.” After pausing, she then said, “Don’t set the temperature too high. If the temperature difference is too high when he got off, he will catch a cold easily.”

Antony turned around after he stopped the car as he reached the destination and looked at Helen. Her gaze looked tender and soft, completely focused at Paddy at the moment. When he saw her thin clothes, he stretched out his long arm, and passed the clothes on the driver’s seat to Helen, “Cover him with this.” After speaking, he turned, and said nothing.

Helen took the coat and covered it on Paddy. She turned her head and stared at the man’s back. After a moment, she shifted her gaze, and put on her coat.

She got off the car and stood by the side. Antony started the car again and rolled the car window after thinking, “Go in first”

Helen was stunned for a moment, before realizing it. She nodded at him, turned around, and walked towards her house.

She walked into the alley, then went inside her rental room, and turned on the light. She then turned and looked at the alley.

The car whizzed out.

Actually, this man didn’t have any ill intention, she assumed in her heart.

Not long after the car drove out.

Antony tapped on the backrest next to him and said, “You don’t have to pretend anymore. She has already left.”

The little black shadow at the back seat wriggled and sat down. Originally he planned to let both of them have some space, but who knew none of them said a word. When he thought back, he pouted at Antony.

“Dad, what do you think of Helen?”

Antony stared straight. A series of memories flashed in his mind.

He curled his lips, and said, “She’s old, ugly, and boring.”

Paddy glared at him and said unconvincingly, “You are getting old, that’s why you have a bad sight, right?” He looked so comfortable.

After speaking, he laid down again.

At the moment, in a guest room at Davis residence.

Gao Wen looked at her watch, and asked in a cold voice, “Do you know where Antony went?”

The servant who stood by the door answered timidly, “Young Master took Little Master out before 8 o’clock. After speaking, she lowered her head, dared not to look at Gao Wen.

He took Paddy out so late at night, she frowned, and the corner of her lips slowly sank. She then got up, closed the door, and took a bunch of money from her purse to hand it to the servant.

“Spill it!”

The servant glanced at her for a moment, then put the money into her sleeves, and whispered, “I heard Little Master told Mrs. Liu that he was going to find Helen.”

Gao Wen immediately stood up from bed, Helen?

“She didn’t work here anymore, right?”

The servant nodded her head.

“Why?” She heard that in order to stay here and looked after Paddy, she’s almost lost her life. Why did she suddenly stop working?

The servant shook her head. This time, no matter what, she refused to tell Gao Wen.

Antony had warned them about this matter. If any outsider knew, they would lose more than just their jobs.

Even she didn’t say anything, but Gao Wen knew clearly, something must’ve happened.

This kid, Paddy Davis, really messed with her plan. She thought about how Paddy ruined her engagement night, her blood boiled.

“Get out” After sending the servant away, she made a call to someone.

“Where are you?”

“Little sister, what’s up? Do you miss me?” The familiar voice with a disgusting tone made Gao Wen felt nauseous.

“Go and check for me. Where did Antony go just now, and with whom?”

The man on the other side stunned, “I knew that this is for him.”

“Are you going to do it or not?” Gao Wen lost her patience. If it weren’t for the secrecy, she wouldn’t have called him.

“I’ll do it! Wait a moment, in ten minutes I’ll give you an update.”

A beep came from the phone.

The waiting seemed to be forever. Gao Wen was walking back and forth in her room. When she saw the photos of Paddy and Antony on the bedside table, she stretched out, and put down the frame with pressure.

If she knew that she would be interrupted by this kid, last year, she wouldn’t agree on that thing.

Ding... Ding…

The notification of WeChat was heard.

Gao Wen opened the notification, and after looking at a few pictures, she angrily smashed her phone on the bad.

Then, a familiar ringtone was heard. She glanced at it and her expression grew colder.

“What do you want?”

“Yo! I said, you are abandoning me after getting what you want.” His sneer made Gao Wen’s blood froze.

“What do you want? Hurry up and say it. If not, I’ll just hang up.”

“Don’t lose your temper at me. You have the ability, could you lose it in front of my brother-in-law? But, from his gaze towards that woman, I think he’s interested in her….. Xiaowen, if you really can’t get his heart, I suggest you gave up as soon as possible.”

Gao Wen put the blanket in her mouth and tore it hard. She’s afraid that she would lose it and scream.

Her phone was still showing the WeChat interface.

The photos were clearly visible on the surface.

The first one showed Antony and Paddy inside the car and the woman stood by the roadside.

The second picture showed the woman got into the car.

In the third picture, all three of them went to a teahouse/restaurant.

In the fourth picture, they came out of the tea house/restaurant. Paddy was standing in the middle with Antony and that woman on both sides.

Although the pictures were taken with the street side CCTV, the smile on that woman’s face could clearly be seen.

She clenched her hands tightly.

In the past few years, she prevented all sorts of women from contacting Antony. She didn’t expect that, in the end, she would miss one person whom she underestimated the most.

As she thought of this, since the engagement, whenever she came to stay overnight, she was always arranged to stay in this guest room.

She couldn’t even enter Antony’s bedroom.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. The hatred in her eyes grew deeper toward Paddy and that damn nanny.
