Chapter 3

by Jiminfication 15:02,Oct 21,2020
The night came way too soon. Time passes by when you're spending time with someone you like.

You and Jimin were in the grocery store.

Jimin pushes the trolley along, while you look down the aisle for ingredients you need to cook for dinner.

Since Jimin insisted he can cook, you followed along with him to the store to shop for ingredients.

It was really late at night since the both of you took really long to pack the place up. So there was only Jimin and you in the store.

"Onions....onions....onions...." you chant as you hop down the aisle, your brows furrowing since you can't find them at all. Jimin laughs, thinking about how cute you are acting.

"....they're veggies so look in the right section to start with!" he laughs as he teases the frowning you.

He walks towards you, pulling your hand gently towards the veggie section, pushing the trolley with the other hand.

A pink flush appears on his face. You feel your cheeks heaten up as well.

Whilst he starts to pick out the good-looking onions, your eyes darted to his hands.

So small and adorable... You can't help but laugh slightly. Even some of the onions are larger than his hands.

It wasn't long before he catches you glancing intently at him, causing his parted lips to curve up into a wry smirk.

"What...wanna pick the onions with me?" he smiles widely.

You smirked back in response, rolling up your sleeves in the process.

"Don't underestimate me! I'm a domestic goddess...." you say as you choose a big onion and raise it up like a trophy, waving it in his face.

Amusement piqued in his eyes as he breaks out in a slight chuckle, pinching your nose to tease you.

"You're not just any goddess, you're also a little brat" he teases you as he fleeds the scene, causing you to sprint after him.

"You....Park Jimin! Come back here!"

In the middle of the chase, he purposely halted in his steps and you crashed onto his broad chest.

Jimin's biceps were pressed against your torso, pulling you into a tight embrace. Both bodies were close enough to feel his warm breath against your ear, your face warming up even more at his firm touch around your waist.

"I got you." he smirked.

"Oh yeah?" you duck under his arms, and ran as fast as your legs could take you.

After the both of you played around for a while, the ingredients eventually accumulated in the cart, ready for checkout.

The cashier smiles at the both of you as she scans the items.

"Newlyweds?...how sweet!" she smiles widely.

Your eyes widen in shock, as you look at Jimin, you find him smiling as well.

He looks at you, then looks back to the cashier lady.

"Well...yeah." he laughs slightly. Raising an eyebrow, you stare at him as he averts eye contact.

"So..when was the wedding?" the lady asks casually as she flips through item by item.

You gulped, not knowing what to answer.

Tugging his sleeve was the only thing you managed. He seems to get the message you sent him : you were the one who did this, so answer her.

Jimin hesitates for a while, before coughing awkwardly.

"Uh...well...it was....like..."

The lady stares at us, with a faint confused smile. She seems to notice something was off. Hastily, you cling his arm and lean your head onto his shoulder.

"hahaha...my darling is just shy...don't worry about it!" you laugh and smile, the lower half of you kicking his foot lightly to tell him to act along.

The surprised Jimin looks down at you, then did what he was told.

"I love my wife, so much that it's a little embarrassing." he pats the top of your head.

Even when it's just pretending, you still feel the same flutter in your heart. You can't help but turn beet red at his words.

The lady smiles knowingly, and packs the items into plastic bags. You quickly took some and walked to the exit, Jimin following you closely behind.

When the both of you reach the car, you shot daggers at him with your eyes.

"....since when were we married?"

Jimin laughs as he starts the engine.

"Your acting isn't half bad."

You punished him with a flick on the forehead, in which he groaned in pain. Jimin rubs his forehead to ease the pain.

"Ouch. That hurt....you have to wash the dishes later." he complained.

You can't help but to giggle at his childishness.

"I was planning to anyway, in return for your cooking."

The two of you played around in the kitchen, Jimin cooks up a few simple dishes and you set them on the table.

Even though they were simple recipes, you're impressed since they looked pretty delicious.

Jimin sits down opposite you, scoffing his mouth with glazed sweet potatoes.

He puts his hands to his chest, grabbing his shirt while making a dramatic gesture.

"Yummy! I'm a genius." he pulls his hair back and winks at you.

You laugh at his silly act. What an idiot.

"Who compliments their own cooking?" you say in between giggles and put some of the food into your mouth.

Not so surprisingly, it tasted really good. Jimin cups his face with both his hands, his elbows leaning on the table.

He smiles widely at your reaction.

"Hehe....tastes good right?" you nod in response, giving him a thumbs up.

"Eat more!" he hands you more potatoes happily.

You responded by devouring the food in front of you quicker than usual, so you had to wait for Jimin to finish. The both of you prepared to clean up the mess sprawled all over the table, resembling how your life is probably like right now. A mess - but totally worth it.

As Jimin starts to turn the tap to wash his plate, you stop him.

"I'll wash the dishes, go and rest first." you gestured him to go back to the bedroom.

Jimin carresses your hair affectionally.

"I'll do it this time. You can make me breakfast tomorrow." he smiles. "I wanna taste your cooking, kinda..."

You laugh, nodding slowly.

While heading straight to the bedroom, hesitation stops you for a moment. You decided to peek at Jimin in the kitchen, who was diligently washing the dishes.

You quietly took some pillows and place them on the living room sofa, and lied down to sleep. The sofa was so small...how can he even fit here?

You're sure that he wanted you to fall sleep first so he would be able to sleep on the sofa. You're not letting him.

You are happy that he's considerate for your sake, but you definitely don't want him to be out in the cold like this sleeping in a cramped sofa.

Not long after, you fell asleep. You faintly hear the turning of the tap, and his footsteps as you drifted to sleep.

After a while, you feel as if...you're wrapped up and comfortable...something protecting you. Its warm and cuddly, so you hug it tightly. You feel a soft surface hitting your back. You turn, pulling the softness closer to you.
You lay in its arms, fast asleep, hugging it tightly. A pair of arms locked around you tightly and a familiar smell of fresh soap soothes your being.
