CHAPTER 23

Wednesday night was the longest night ever.

Paul managed to convince them to go see "The Other Woman." at the theaters. It bought me, maybe three hours, and two and a half of those hours were spent waiting for William.

Around 8:30, I heard foot steps approach my front door. Shortly after that, there were three knocks.

I noticed my hands were shaking. God, I was a hot mess. I took a few deep breaths, reminded myself that I was in control, and walked up to the door....
