Max's POV

"Max, stop screeching every five minutes, I'm going to throw all your GUCCI outside!" Cali scowled and I pouted.

My eyes locked with Tokyo who was grinning at me like crazy.

"Tokyo come here for a second. Let me just smack you one time for laughing at me yesterday," I told her and she just stuck her tongue out, her cheeky grin didn't get passed through me.

"Max, I took a picture of your first kiss. You want to see?" she grinned, waving her phone at me and I felt my cheeks flushed red.

"Yahhh!" I screamed at her and before I can even reach her, she had already bolted real fast and headed straight to her room, her laughter echoing across the hall.

Cali grunted and Zanaya forcefully smiled.

A long sigh escaped my lips as I stare at my own phone.

Settling myself in the far corner of the couch, I started staring blankly at the stupid device.

Why doesn't it beep when I was waiting for it?

Should I message him first?

After SHADOW went out of their dorm, I patiently waited for Sky to send me a message like how he had been doing these past few days.

There are times that I respond out of boredom and sometimes I don't.

I know he was just trying to be friendly but as much as I hate to admit it, he brings out different emotions within me.

The Max who's normally calm and collected turns into a beast due to his unintentional provoking.

There are also times when I find myself smiling over his silly remarks but I try to hide it in instant, afraid someone would notice.

And those things, me being unable to control my emotions means trouble. Sky simply spells trouble for me - Max. And I won't allow that. I refuse to do so.

He never said he likes me but I am trying to put a force field as my shield so I won't get associated with any male idol.

I know I am being shipped with some of them but I wouldn't do anything to prove the false speculations to be true nor give them the idea that it might be the case.

Zanaya dating is enough. I have nothing against her relationship. That's her feelings and her decision so I am deciding for myself.

Focus. That's what I need to do. But having Sky around makes that simple task be the hardest.

The image of him lying flat on the ground after I hit him flashed before me and I groan internally, guilt slowly eating my system.

I didn't mean to hurt the guy. I was shocked and that was my first kiss.

How are they expecting me to react when in one single day, I lost my first kiss and my boobs were touched, all by the same person.

Surrendering with my conscience, I started typing on my phone, careful enough to write the most decent, like not caring but still caring type of message. If that's even possible.

Me: Sorry.

Yep. That's the best thing I can do.

I was startled when I saw a sign of him typing in a response.

fromSHADOW: Nope. You knocked me out. You have to do something for me.

As expected, he's still a pain in the ass. I changed his name to something I can easily remember.

Me: Nope. Not going to happen. It's your fault, not mine.

fromSHADOW: nanananana. Not listening. You owe me.

Here we go again.

Me: Whatever. What do you want?

There's no point in fighting with him. He won't surrender so that means I have to give up.

I saw how he was typing quickly.

fromSHADOW: Great. Do you have somewhere to go today? Any schedule?

Me: None that I'm aware of. Why?

It took him a minute to respond and I'm almost willing to drop the conversation this early but I saw him typing once again.

fromSHADOW: Message you later.

After seeing his response, I shrugged my shoulders and just headed straight to my room.

It's still early, might as well get some sleep. So I did. I don’t know how long I was sleeping but the sound of my phone ringing woke me up from my deep slumber.

Uninterested, my hands lazily moved towards my bedside table as I try to get my phone. The moment my hands took a hold of it, my eyes squinted as I try to check who the caller is.

A groan escaped my lips the moment my eyes caught the name reflecting on the screen. With an annoyed demeanor, I answered the call.

"What?" I scowled. If he wasn't aware that I was annoyed, he probably knew now because I didn't bother masking my emotion through my voice.

I heard him chuckling in the background.

"Sorry for waking you up princess, but can I have that thing you owe me?" he answered and I turned around, my eyes now focusing on the ceiling.

"What?" I asked once again.

"Calm down sweetie. I'm here on your dorm's rooftop. I'll wait for you here," he mumbled and I wasn't even able to respond.

"Ugh!" I hissed.

After releasing a long sigh, I went ahead and went to my bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I didn't bother changing my pajamas into something else.

"It's just Sky..." I whispered to myself. I'm not sure how it happened and as much as I hate to admit it, I already feel comfortable with his presence. I no longer care how I look and it doesn't bother one bit if he sees me with my bare face.

Again, it's just Sky...

With my system still groggy, I headed out of the dorm and headed straight to the rooftop. Zanaya saw me going out but didn't bother asking any question. She seemed bothered herself.

The moment I opened the door on the rooftop, my hands immediately wrapped around my body when the cold breeze hit me. I was already wearing a jacket but it's still a little cold.

My eyes wandered to the almost empty place.

What did he want from me anyways?

I walked a little as I try to search for him, and just when I turned on a corner, I saw him smiling cheekily at me. He was standing in the middle of the rooftop, a blanket spread on the ground with lots of food around it.

My brows furrowed as I walk closer to him.

He was smiling like a madman like he's proud or something.

My eyes landed on the food he brought and the sound of my stomach grumbling made him laugh.

However, I was caught off-guard when he moved closer and covered my shoulder with a blanket that I didn't even notice he has. With his hands on my shoulders, he gently leads me closer until we were both sitting on the blanket on the ground.

I was startled when he removed his cap and put it on my head instead.

For some reason, my heart started beating faster than it usually does.

And then, his boxy-grin greeted before me.

Shoot.

"I didn't know what's your favorite food so I brought everything I like instead." he started and I just stared at him, unable to comprehend what he just said.

I hit him in the face, run around the house chasing him with a baseball bat, rolled my eyes and cursed at him even though he's my senior, so why is he still doing this instead of making me suffer for what I did?

"Why?" I can't help but ask, but I amused when he still greeted me with a smile, the sincerest I ever saw in my life.

"Because I want to be close to you?" he mumbled and I was left in a daze.

"Again, why?" I asked him.

Why are you doing this? I wanted to ask but I stopped myself. Instead, I watched him scratch the back of his head looking like he's some nervous guy trying to confess to his crush.

My eyes widened at the thought.

Impossible.

"Just, let's be friends?" he asked offering his right hand for a handshake. My eyes landed on his hand, then back up to his nervous looking face.

"Truce?" he added, a lopsided grin showing and a long sigh escaped my lips. The next thing I knew, my hand reached for his.

And I didn't know the way our hands fitting perfectly with each other meant something.

I didn't know that handshake meant him playing a big role in my life.
