"Mom, the three-year period is up. In the past three years, I have followed your last words. Now everyone in the entire Scarlett Family and even half of Josebatt City knows that the outcast who became the matrilocal son-in-law from the Leach Family is just a waste!!"
"Mom, I know that the reason why you asked me to endure it for three years is that you are worried my family will persecute me. You said that I am gifted and will be a giant among men in the future, but I have a bad background and have no power. I can't compete with those people, and once I show some talent, I will be killed, so you force me to pretend to be a loser."
"But...Mom, you don't know that you are wrong, very wrong. In my eyes, the Leach Family is just a bunch of completely useless people! Why should I be afraid of them?"
"The Leach Family abandoned me, and you don't hope for me to return to the Leach Family. The Leach Family and I have nothing to do with each other. I came to see you today to tell you that the three-year period is over, and I... Michael Leach, don't want to be a waste anymore!"
In the Nameless Cemetery in the southern suburbs of Yorniles City, Michael knelt in front of an unnamed tombstone and placed the joss paper in his hand into the brazier with an indifferent expression.
"If I have the medical skills I had today three years ago," Michael secretly clenched his fists, his eyes full of unwillingness.
Crunch!
Suddenly, the sound of branches being trampled sounded in the Nameless Cemetery.
Michael raised his head and looked towards the sound. Two figures were seen running towards him in the night.
There was an old man and a youngster. The old man was wearing a suit. He had wrinkled skin and white hair, blood on his waist and abdomen. He was apparently injured. The youngster was a girl, about 20 years old, wearing a floral dress, with a slim figure, fair skin, and a cute look.
At this moment, she was supporting the old man and running forward in a fluster, her eyes full of fear.
The two flustered people were overjoyed when they found Michael beside the fire.
"Mister, please save my grandpa!" The girl cried with tears in her eyes.
"Sorry, I'm just here to visit the tomb, I can't help you!" Michael said calmly as he lit three sticks of incense and paid homage to the tombstone.
"Mister, I'm begging you!" The girl was anxious.
"Olivia... don't bother, let go of me quickly, their target is me, you go first... Grandpa will cover for you!" The old man said weakly with pale lips.
He was panting even as he spoke due to the excessive blood loss.
"No Grandpa, I will never abandon you!" The girl gritted her teeth and said firmly.
"Silly child!" the old man sighed, "This way none of us can run away!"
How could she not know?
She squeezed her hands tightly, then looked at Michael who was kneeling in front of the tombstone and said seriously, "Mister, if you are willing to take my grandfather away from here, our Shelton Family will definitely reward you. What you want, we can give it to you!"
The girl looked at Michael Leach expectantly, hoping that this guy had heard of the Shelton Family.
However, Michael showed no reaction.
"Haven't you heard of it?"
The girl was disappointed, but she didn’t give up!
"One million!"
Directly marking the price!
"Take my grandpa away. I will stay to cover for you. You are safe as long as you do as I say, my Shelton Family will give you one million!"
"Olivia! Leave! I will take them on with this old body!" the old man said in agitation, but after speaking, the wound on his abdomen started to bleed again, and he couldn't help but cough.
The girl's face was full of tears, she ignored the old man and stared intently at Michael.
However... Michael remained unmoved.
"Two million!" the girl shouted again.
The situation was still desperate!
The girl's breath tightened and she shouted anxiously.
"Three million!"
"Four million!"
"Five million!"
But no matter how tempting her numbers were, they couldn't move Michael at all.
"He's like a piece of wood."
"Is there anyone out there who is not interested in money?"
The girl felt her voice trembling.
"Stop shouting!"
Finally, Michael spoke.
The girl's breath hitched.
But all she saw was Michael putting incense in front of the tombstone, looking at the unnamed tombstone, and saying indifferently, "This is my first time to visit my mother's grave. Please leave quickly and don't disturb me talking to my mother, okay?"
"But..." The girl wanted to say something else.
Clomp, clomp…
At this time, dense footsteps sounded.
More than thirty men rushed in from the gate of the cemetery.
These men all had fierce looks and sharp blades in their hands, and they surrounded the young girl and the old man tightly.
Judging from their stance, they were obviously not ordinary thugs, but most likely a group of international mercenaries.
“Old Mr. Shelton, stop running. If you cooperate, we can give you a quick death." A bald man holding on to a shining blade coldly said.
"Are you people sent by the Langdon Family?" A flash of domineering and anger flashed in the old man's eyes, "The Langdon Family is so cruel! If I survive this catastrophe, I will definitely make this unscrupulous Langdon Family disappear from Yorniles City!"
"Kill them!"
The bald man didn't want to talk nonsense anymore, so he shouted and struck with his blade.
The others raised their blades and struck too.
Dozens of shining blades pointed directly at the girl and the old man.
No mercy at all.
There was no hesitation.
The young girl and the old man were powerless, how could they deal with this battle?
The girl's face turned pale with fright. Although the old man was injured, he still dragged the girl behind him. His eyes were firm and he seemed to be planning to risk his life with these thugs.
But even if he fights with his life on the line, what's the use? These thugs still had pistols on their waists and they did not take out their guns. This was already considered an act of kindness on their part.
This is a massacre without suspense!
"Stop!"
At this critical moment, an indifferent voice sounded.
The bald man glanced at Michael and shouted, "Get rid of this person as well, to prevent any trouble rising!"
"Okay, Captain!"
The person next to him nodded heavily, then turned around and rushed towards Michael.
But the moment he got closer, a silver needle flew out and pierced the man's neck accurately.
In an instant, the man froze in place, unable to move like a statue.
"What?"
"David! What's wrong with you?"
"Captain, it was this guy who did it! This person seems trained!"
The expressions of others changed.
"We've hit an obstacle! Everyone, be careful and get rid of this person first!"
The bald man's face was solemn, and he rushed towards Michael with his blade.
But as soon as they started to move, Michael, who was kneeling in front of the tombstone, raised his hand again.
There seemed to be a river of stars flowing between his hands, and bright thin lights flew out across the night sky and crashed into these people's bodies.
"Silver Needle?"
The old man's cloudy eyes suddenly froze.
Looking at the bald men, they have all turned into statues and are motionless.
Everyone has a needle as thin as a hair inserted in their neck!
The old man and the girl were all dumbfounded.
"Mom, I am unfilial and am disturbing you..." Michael murmured while looking at the tombstone without looking back.
The old man and the young girl here were astonished.
"Grandpa, what's wrong with them?" The girl swallowed.
"Is this the silver needle sealing acupoints?" The old man looked shocked, "I heard your Grandpa Robert mention it, but I have never seen it before..."
"Grandpa Robert? You mean the president of the Traditional Medicine Association, the Medical Saint Robert?"
"Yes..." the old man said weakly, "Your Robert said that those who seal acupoints with silver needles are all masters of traditional medicine. If this young man really has such ability, then he is... absolutely extraordinary!"
The old man sighed with emotion, but as he spoke, he felt a little unsteady on his feet.
"Grandpa, are you okay?"
"It's okay... I can still hold on for a while." The old man forced a smile.
How could the girl not see that, her face was full of distress, she stared at Michael for a while and then stepped forward.
"Olivia, what are you doing?" The old man hurriedly grabbed her.
"Grandpa, since you said this man has great medical skills, asking him to take action will definitely save you."
"Silly girl, if others don't want to be disturbed, don't bother them anymore!"
"But Grandpa, if you continue like this, you will die." The girl was about to cry.
"Wealth is determined by destiny, life and death are determined by the heaven." The old man said weakly.
But as soon as he finished speaking, his eyes darkened and he fell.
"Grandpa, Grandpa!!"
The girl let out a shrill cry, but she could not wake up the unconscious old man.
The girl was desperate.
She rushed over suddenly, knelt on the ground, and cried to Michael, "Please, save my grandpa."
"You disturbed my mother, my patience is limited!"
Michael tilted his head slightly, his voice getting colder.
"But, my grandpa is dying!" the girl cried. "Please help him..."
The girl kept begging, and her cries spread through the cemetery.
"It seems you didn't hear me clearly!"
"Mister, I'm sorry, but my grandpa is really dying. If you are willing to save my grandpa, our Shelton Family is willing to renovate the cemetery and your mom's grave, and I, Olivia of the Shelton Family, am even willing to keep vigil for your mom for three years personally! Okay?" The girl cried out tremblingly with tears in her eyes.
This sentence moved Michael slightly.
He looked back at the girl, hesitated, and said lightly, "There is no need to keep a vigil. Please help me renovate my mother's cemetery. It can be regarded as my filial piety."
"You agreed?"
The girl was overjoyed.
Michael nodded, walked to the old man's side, took out a half-inch hair-like silver needle from a needle bag hanging on his waist, and then carefully pierced the old man's eyebrow.
In an instant, the already unconscious old man suddenly twitched, and then his mouth suddenly opened wide with a "wow" sound, and he took a deep breath.
"Grandpa!" The girl was extremely excited.
"Have your people arrived within the hour?"
"I've sent them my location. They'll be here in half an hour."
"That's enough. If you send him to the hospital for a blood transfusion within an hour, he'll be fine. If it's too late, just send him to a funeral home for cremation."
Michael picked up the duffel bag on the ground, turned and left.
"Mister, what's your name?" the girl shouted urgently.
But Michael had already disappeared into the night.
The girl stared blankly in the direction Michael Leach was leaving, somewhat lost in thought.
Suddenly, she seemed to discern something out of the corner of her eye. She lowered her head slightly and saw a train ticket falling next to the tombstone.
She hurried over and picked up the ticket.
"Josebatt City? Michael Leach?"
