Kristen got scared. She was prepared to be shamed while but not to be disfigured by a crazy woman.

“Honey! Please, please...” She crawled fast to Edward and clasped his knees.

Seeing her begging like this, Edward felt complex. There were bitter, anger, and also hatred. He hated Kristen for being such a bitch and himself for loving one.
