Chapter 05 Bring Other Women Home

I didn't understand the identity of Chan Cheng. Still, I felt that Ming Qin's family became nervous after hearing the name.

Chan Cheng took out a business card and handed it to me. I subconsciously took it.

"About compensation, you can think about it before contacting me."

Chan looked at me, said "Sorry", and nodded to Bell Lin and left the ward. During the whole process, he didn't look at Jim Qin at all.

The ward became very quiet for a while. I looked at the business card in my hand. There was no position on it, only the words "Chan Cheng" and a series of phone numbers were printed.

"He just left? What about the money? Didn't he say to give money?" The stepfather recovered and said anxiously.

My heart was in a mess. Fortunately, Jim Qin didn't force me to pay the money immediately. He agreed to pay in installments but forcibly took me back home.

In Jim's words, we have not yet divorced, and it was natural for us to live together. Moreover, I owed him the bride price to live at home under his surveillance, preventing me from evading debts.

Chan Cheng turned out to be the president of the Cheng's Group. No wonder Ming Qin was so shocked after hearing his name. The Cheng's Group was a multinational company, and even a leading enterprise in H City, which Qin's company was not comparable to.

I was shocked and wondered whether the change in Jim Qin's attitude towards me be related to the identity of Chan Cheng.

Life was like the tranquility before the storm. Every day, I was afraid that Jim's temper would erupt. Until Jim took a woman home, I knew he was starting to retaliate against me.

The first time I saw Jim Qin returning with a woman, I broke down. But within a month, I went from the initial shock to the numbness now. And the speed at which I adapted surprises myself.

All this was because of one sentence from Jim Qin, he said I have cheated, why can't he?

I had no power to refuse, I could only let Jim do this absurd thing.

My mother knew about it and persuaded me to endure it. She said that Jim was deliberately pissing me off now. After all, it was my fault first. I'd better endure it and wait for Jim's anger trail away. Then we could settle our misunderstandings and live a good life.

If Jim Qin didn't want to be with me anymore, wouldn't it be more straightforward to get a divorce?

I was persuaded by this statement. This month, I have spent the time in self-blame and humiliation, but I always hold expectations in my heart. I hoped that after Jim got his anger, he could change his mind.

Jim brought models, web celebrities, and college students back, all of which I could bear. However, I did not expect him to bring someone I knew back.

That's right, Jim Qin brought another woman back tonight. She was my colleague Kathy Jin who worked in the hospital.

My heart was messed up, and suddenly, the door of my room was kicked open, and the quilt covering my body was suddenly lifted off in the next second.
