Chapter 5

~Charlotte's POV~
When Drew left I instantly felt lonely. I decided to take out my phone and text Jake telling him it's over. I wasn't going to face him and tell him. He didn't deserve it for cheating on me with my best friend. I quickly texted him and got in the car and headed home.
"Mother, father I'm home."I announced as a maid rushed over to me to take my bag
"Welcome home princess Charlotte." One of the maids named Rose said bowing
"Rose, how many times did I tell you to not call me Princess Charlotte? Just call me Lottie and you don't need to bow." I said giving her a disapproving look.
"I'm sorry, princess but it's how the King and Queen told me to address you." Rose said, giving me a sad look and I nodded.
"Where are my parents?" I asked walking into the kitchen.
"They are in their study, Princess." Rose said and I nodded.
"Thank you. You are dismissed Rose." I said and she quickly walked off saying thank you.
"Charlotte, how was school?" My Mother asked looking up from her papers.
“It was going great as usual. Everything was perfect, but then it happened. I felt it and I don’t know what to do. "I said, frowning.
“What happened?” My mother asked.
“I think I met my soulmate, but he is human.” I said and my mother gasped, jumping out of her seat to give me a hug.
"Congratulations! We must have a celebration! This is amazing.”
"A human you say?" My father questioned with obvious distaste.He didn’t bother standing up as he tapped his fingers angrily.
"Yes, father but I do not know for sure. All I know is when he touched me I felt tingles and when he walked away I instantly felt lonely and still do."I said with a small frown.
"Oh sweetie! You definitely found your soulmate!!" My mother said happily.
"Elizabeth!! Her mate is a Human!! A filthy creature." My father said with disgust.
"Oh Shush. Be proud your daughter found her soulmate. We can worry about him being human some other time."My mother said leaving no room for disagreement.
"Yes Dear."He said and gave me a Hug."Congratulations on finding the one you will spend eternity with." My father said releasing me.
"Thank you father for your support. But I really need a snack so I am going out" I said and they nodded going back to work as I changed and left for a club to find myself a snack.
