Chapter 1 Surprise At The Wedding

Janine watched the bustling engagement ceremony before her with her paled face silently.

On the stage, the bride-to-be's wedding dress was shining with pure and clear light. The ornaments of the dress made her even nobler, implying unparalleled arrogance and sacredness.

The bride-to-be, Ann Jian, was now standing on the stage, smiling with the gentleman beside her.

"Groom-to-be, are you willing to be engaged to the beautiful bride-to-be in front of you, live with her according to the teachings of the Bible, and become one before God, love her, comfort her, respect her, and protect her? Whether she's sick or healthy, rich or poor, will you stay loyal to her until she dies?"

Janine's heart tightened as she stared at George, who was standing on the stage. Six months ago, this man was her fiance.

The wedding was originally held for Janine and George!

But after a car accident, George lost his memory. Janine clearly remembered that the first time when she saw George after his car accident, he looked at her with disgust and said, "Janine, you made me feel sick."

Janine and George had once loved each other so deeply, why did he suddenly hate her so?

Later, Ann cried to Janine that she had had sex with George, and George would marry her. So she hoped Janine would grant them.

Janine was born on the same day as Ann. The doctor at the hospital made a mistake, and the two families carried the wrong babies, so she grew up in Jian's family. It was not until Janine turned 16 that this mistake was found out. So He's family and Jian's family exchanged the two children back.

But less than two months after Janine returned to her home, her biological parents disappeared all of a sudden. In order to avoid the public's gossip, the Jian's family took her back, yet the attitude was completely different.

Although she knew that Ann was the daughter of the Jian's family, she couldn't accept it when the parents she's been calling for 16 years told her to give up her finacee for Ann.

Janine defended, "I used to be your daughter. You know how much George and I experienced all those years, why do you separate us?"

Janine went to George, but he just looked at her in disgust, "Janine, if you weren't Ann's sister, I wouldn't even talk to you. I didn't expect you to be so vicious. It's disgusting to grab your sister's boyfriend. I never want to see you ever again!"

Janine didn't expect that George should lost his memory!

Why George couldn't recall anything at all?

Deep love has turned to a feeling of disgust, and affection has turned to a wound. Everything's subverted!

Janine recalled the past, and her heart ached.

Ann, standing on the stage, caught a glimpse of Janine, who was about to move in the crowd, and she immediately winked at her parents.

It seemed that Ann's "good sister" was still unwilling to give up!

Just as Janine wanted to take a step, Ann's parents appeared in front of her.

"Janine, what do you want to do? It's Ann's engagement ceremony. You must not disturb them."

"Dad, Mom, you guys overthink, I'm just here to congratulate and talk with George."

Seeing Ann's parents flustered, Janine sneered, her lips slightly hooked.

Jian's family has done all kinds of things. Are they now afraid?

The crowd was clamoring. Janine looked at George with a curved mouth. She took out the Coke ring inside the bag and said to George: "This is what you gave me last time, and now I will give it back. George, from now on, we will go on our separate ways!"

The ring sounded exceptionally loud in the entire hall. George looked at the ring and only felt his head hurt while recalling something.

At this moment, George suddenly felt someone pulling his sleeves. He looked down and saw Ann's crying face: "George, I feel a little sick in my stomach. I'm not sure if I'm pregnant. Shall we swear the oath and go back to the room to rest?"

George's lover was Ann, and now Janine wanted to destroy his relationship with Ann.

In just a moment, George's confused gaze immediately restored to clarity.

Ann smiled and said: "Janine is good at making jokes. She must have been tired after the college entrance examination, right? Mom and Dad, take Janine to rest."

Ann smiled with happiness, yet Janine knew what kind of person she was. Only she felt a feeling of loss when she saw George's indifference.

Ann's parents dragged Janine out of the auditorium, and she was brought to a room with no one inside. The two pointed and cursed fiercely, "Today is Ann's wedding, how dare you to destroy it?!, How could you be so vicious?"

Janine didn't even want to bother these two people, so who's the vicious one here?

"You can't leave this room until the wedding is over!"

Janine didn't expect her parents should lock her inside the room. Fine. She didn't even want to go out at all.

It was night and lights brightly lit the villa, and there was a constant flow of people.

Ann took George's arm, smiled, and the moment she turned around, her gaze fell on the small dark attic upstairs, with a mysterious smile rising from the corners of her mouth.

Ann wondered if her "good sister" would be satisfied with the big gift she had prepared.

Inside the room, Janine felt bored, and she took a shower and fell asleep. She decided to wait for the wedding ceremony to end, apply for the student loans at her university she had just enrolled in, and then cut ties with the Jian family!

No one noticed that at this moment, someone quietly opened the door to Janine's room...
