Chapter 3 A Girl's Marriage Is Only Once!

The bullet seemed to fly past her ear, and the dull gunfire made Elizabeth Song tremble.

Jingmo said hoarsely: "Do you know I waited for you all night in Xiaoling Tower? Tell me why not come?"

"I don't know..." Elizabeth grabbed his hand, crying so hardly that she could only shake her head.

Three days ago, when she returned from Fei City, she wrote a letter to Jingmo that she came back, but receive no reply from him. So she didn’t know that he was waiting for her at Xiaoling Tower.

He yanked the jade from his neck and threw it on her, said bitterly: "Elizabeth Song, don't let me see you again, or I will shoot you!"

"Jingmo..." Elizabeth watched the man putting the gun away and turning to leave. She didn't dare to chase after him, but only stood sadly there, crying.

Seeing they were apart, the servant came out of the kitchen and said: "Miss Song, Song Mansion called to ask when would you go back."

"Later." Elizabeth took a breath and quickly wiped her tears away. "Please buy two sets of cloth for me and prepare a car by the way."

Picking up the jade that had fallen in half on the ground, Elizabeth wrapped it up, then she changed cloth and returned to the Song Mansion.

As soon as she walked in, her father Hongming Song put the newspaper down, got up and walked to her with a smile: "Eliza, why are you back now? Let's have lunch later."

"Dad, what's the matter?" Thinking of last night, Elizabeth said trembly: "Last night, why didn’t Jingmo come? And did he reply to me? Why didn't you tell me?"

Hongming looked embarrassed, as if he wanted to say something but stopped.

She used to be Hongming's second mistress, but now was his wife after the death of Elizabeth's mother Xinning Shu.

"But you live such a good life, and your tuition is dependant on your dad. Therefore, if our family is in trouble, you should help, too. Right?"

Elizabeth was very anger, "I am talking to my dad, why are you here?"

After a few years, when she saw Qinman again, she still hated her, even would like to tear her up.

Back then, her mom was depressed and ill for a long time, and Qinman must involved in it.

Hongming was embarrassed and scolded, "Eliza, you should call her aunt at least, why you are so rude..."

"Don't embarrass the kid," Qinman smiled kindly and said softly, "Eliza, you have been in Fei City for many years, maybe you don't know your eldest sister married to the eldest master of Lu Mansion. Their marriage were held in the church half a month ago."

"Unfortunately something happened during the marriage, and the eldest master was sent to the hospital, and your elder sister was also ill heavily, so your dad sent her abroad for treatment. Now the eldest master is sober, and ask your elder sister back. But we can’t tell him your elder sister’s illness. The only solution is you, although I didn’t born you, you are very similar to your elder sister and your voice are totally the same."

Hearing this, Elizabeth finally understood and her face was pale: "So you just lied to the eldest master that I was the elder sister, and then sent me there?"

Neither Hongming nor Qinman spoke.

They acquiesced to it.

"Dad, how could you have such a bad idea?" Elizabeth was shaky, and said trembly, "A girl's marriage is only once! I don't ask you to give me anything, just let me get married. But you give your daughter to others as an item?"
