Chapter 46

"Ariana! Get back here!" Alex yells after me. I giggle, sucking in a breath as I run faster. I don't know where I'm going, I simply run and run. I glance over my shoulder to find a dripping wet Alex chasing me, growing closer by the second. His eyes are lit up, droplets of water falling from his hair into his eyes.

"I'm sorry!" I screech, noticing how close he's getting. Laughter erupts from my chest, travelling upwards and I come to a slow stop, leaves crunching underneath my feet....
