“I need to prepare,” I said loudly to no one in particular, going straight to the bathroom to take a shower before heading to Dulce’s house. At the back of my mind, I was wondering why my dad wanted me to go there. But I pushed the thought back and decided to worry about it later. After preparing and dressing with my usual outfit, I drove straight to my girlfriend’s house and rang the doorbell.
