Chapter 3 WEDDING NIGHT

by Gift Odulesi 15:04,Nov 12,2020

Jayda and Fred had gotten married.

Tonight, being their wedding night, they were heading to Fred's home.

Jayda had gone to say one last goodbye to her mother who couldn't stop her endless tears even after she left. Samantha was so excited that her daughter was finally getting married despite her lack of interest in men after Charles, her ex-boyfriend, broke up with her. Not to mention that she got married to the hottest billionaire in America.

Samantha's joy knew no bounds.

Freya, being the most adorable best friend of Jayda, had volunteered to stay with Samantha for the weekend so she could have someone to keep her company.

The car that conveyed Fred and Jayda had been decorated with flowers around it and was driving slowly.

The duo were so silent throughout the drive as they stared at the windows by their sides of the car while it zoomed past different places.

Fred was eager to start a discussion but that didn't seem to be anything close to what Jayda was eager to do at the moment so he gave up to save that for later.

Mark Pluto, Fred's driver, other than Seth, finally pulled into the driveway of the gigantic compound.

Fred got out of the car and Jayda also helped herself out of the car, despite struggling with her wedding gown.

She was truly amazed by the gigantic mansion that stood in front of her.

'Wait, is this really where I'll be living?' She wondered to herself.

"Will you stop staring open-mouthed and get your ass right inside the house?" Fred snapped, bringing her to the realisation of the fact that her eyes and mouth were in agape.

She cleared her throat then shifted weirdly before rumpling a large portion of her gown in her hands.

"Hello?" Jayda called after Fred that was just walking hastily into the house, walking way faster than she could catch up, also due to her high heels.

He turned to her with his bright blue eyes boring into her bold grey eyes then gruffly responded, "what?" He forced himself to prevent taking a quick roll of his eyes.

"What?" She repeated as a frown found its way to crumple her forehead. "For your information, it's hard for me to walk in this dress and heels, I don't know the way in this house but you're just storming like you happened to meet someone you've been holding a grudge against for 65 years."

A smile pinched the corner of his lips but he only rolled his eyes.

"Come on." He extended his hand for her to accept it.

She rolled her eyes as well then slowly walked to him, placing her warm hand in his and it fitted perfectly.

He gently placed a long kiss on her neck before proceeding to the main doors.

He had the doors opened then got in with his newly wedded bride.

"Wow!" She muttered to herself as her eyes scanned the whole living room. "This is beautiful." She acknowledged.

The whole living room was thrice as big as the whole of her old house where she had lived with her mother (exaggeration though).

It had freshly cleaned black tiles with five soundly proud black sofas that sat confidently at the center of the living room with a Spanish center table at their center, and a 65-inch television hung on the wall.

There were about seven white rugs on the floors for some reason, with three large windows on each wall with heavy black curtains along with white curtains between the two black curtains on each window.

Towards the back of the sofas, there was an exorbitant dining table with eight chairs surrounding it.

Beautiful paintings were hung on the walls as well as Fred's pictures with empty frames which Fred had intentionally left for Jayda's pictures as well as their wedding pictures.

"Will you keep on staring at the house or will you let us get to our room? I'm so stressed out after all the stress I went through today." He informed her.

She stared at him for a few seconds without a word before nodding.

He held her hand again then led her up the curved stairs to the floor above this one.

She was slowing him down but he managed to be patient with her, mentally calculating that he was still going to arrive there anyways.

Fred led her to their room then unlocked the door.

Jayda quickly ran to the bed that was decorated with flowers and plopped herself onto the soft, comfy, relaxing bed.

Fred walked over to her then sat by the edge of the bed, taking off his shoes and suit.

"Won't you freshen up?" He asked reluctantly.

"I will." She simply muttered.

Jayda suddenly appeared in front of him and that startled the hell out of him.

"Wha– how did you get here?"

"Help me get my zip down." She requested, ignoring his question then he obediently helped her with pulling the zip.

She grabbed a towel and a nightgown from her part of the wardrobes that contained a new set of clothes and other things for her, then headed to the bathroom.

After a few minutes, she was done in the bathroom then headed back to their bed after following her night skincare routine.

Fred had used a different bathroom and was now in only his sweatpants.

Jayda couldn't help staring at his hot muscular body, his well-defined abs. It was just like the ones of the male models that advertised themselves in daily magazines. She also noticed a scar by his side and another on his tricep.

He chuckled when he caught her staring at him.

"What? Do you expect me to just 'not stare' when I see a sexy body?" She hissed then plopped herself on to the bed, covering herself with a duvet as she rested her head on two soft pillows.

"Hey! What're you doing?" Fred barked.

She glared at him with a 'what the hell?' expression. "I know you're not blind so you should be able to tell that I'm going to sleep."

"Sleep? On our wedding night? No way!" He shook his head excessively, already feeling all grumpy.

She laughed so hard before managing to speak, "please don't tell me you're expecting us to get intimate tonight?" She inquired.

"Of course!" He snapped, furrowing his eyebrows.

She changed her stance to a seated position then crawled to him before placing her hands on his shoulders.

"You can't just get intimate with someone you don't love yet. We barely know each other, even. Let's give each other a little bit more time to avoid future regrets." She said as she made him lay on the bed then covered him with a duvet.

"What?!" He barked. "Future regrets in what way?!'

"Shh." She placed her index finger on his lips then sank herself on to the bed, beside him, also covering her body with a duvet.

"You're definitely not doing this to me!" He continued to shout like he was being tortured by extreme criminals because he felt more than tortured at the moment.

"Of course, I am. I do what I want." She said with every stench of a mocking tone then giggled continuously. She was enjoying how the sound of his desperation felt and it was one of the funniest things in the world (to her). The whole mighty Fred Maklaw was acting like a crybaby because of her.

She snuggled closer to him then planted a long soothing kiss on his cheek.

'What is this woman? A drama queen?' He thought to himself.

She wrapped her arms around him then placed her head on his bare chest as she drifted into the realm of sleep.

Fred felt like he was going crazy as his head was throbbing confusedly. He hoped he hadn't gotten himself into another round of trouble, another round of Mina.
