There was a pause on the other end of the line before the secretary inquired, “And may I ask to which this is concerning?”

I sighed, not having time for this shit. “The safety of his wife and child; this is Will Jennings. He will take the call.”

The woman put me on hold, and I ground my teeth until the phone was picked up.

“You have some fucking nerve, Jennings to call here.”
