I laid in my bed, still not even moving. I stayed curled up in a ball, just staring into space.

I heard a light knock on my door. When it opened, my mom walked in, sitting next to where I was.

"Hey sweetie." She stroked my leg. "How are holding up?"

"I'm not. I've never felt worse."
