Kent touched Elise’s hand gently, and she seemed to wake up from a lucid dream. She looked up at Kent’s face and forced a smile.

“I’m sorry. I was like stepping into a dream just now. I cannot seem to control myself.”

Kent slightly squeezed her hand, and Eric was looking at it and subtly cleared his throat. His friend hesitated at first but Kent let go of his sister’s hand after a couple of moments’ hesitation.
