“Wh---What are you doing here?” I asked, not sure about how I was feeling, on seeing him out of the blue.

“I’m on my way to meet few people at work,” he gave me a small smile and I nodded, not knowing what to say.

This was so awkward.

“Well, have fun. I should get going,” I was about to walk past him when he blocked my way.

“Wait, Emma.” I looked at him in confusion while he rubbed the back of his head in hesitation.
