CHAPTER 20: CHERISHED TIMES

Garrett's POV

I am rushing to the restaurant where I am supposed to meet Scilla. It's been thirty damned minutes since I texted her that I am on my way and yet it's nearly forty-five minutes that I am able to alight from the taxi that I hailed a while ago.

I can't seem to step forward when I can see Scilla seated in one of the farthest corners of the restaurant on the left, facing the window. I was shocked and guilt struck me when I saw her place both of her folded arms...
