He was a powerful CEO, feared and respected by his colleagues and competitors alike. But beneath his cold exterior lay a deep loneliness that he could never seem to shake.
One day, he met a woman who challenged him in every way possible. She was just as smart and successful as he was, and she refused to be intimidated by him. Despite their initial animosity, they soon found themselves drawn to each other, unable to resist the intense attraction between them.
But as their relationship grew deeper, so did their conflicts. She was fiercely independent and refused to be controlled by anyone, especially not him. He struggled to let go of his need for dominance and control, unable to reconcile it with his growing love for her.
Their relationship became a battle of wills, with each trying to assert their dominance over the other. But in the end, they both realized that true love requires compromise and trust. They learned to let go of their need for control and dominance, and in doing so, found a love that was deeper and more fulfilling than anything they had ever known.

Chapter 349
Claire
16:01,Dec 26,2024
Maeve Yu married Romeo Fu three years ago and has been dutifully fulfilling her obligations as Mrs. Fu. Naively believing that her gentleness could touch Romeo Fu, she eventually realized that even if she melted the Antarctic iceberg, she couldn't melt his heart. Disheartened, she chose to end the marriage.
After three years of marriage, Romeo Fu could only use two words to describe his wife Maeve Yu, mediocre and boring. Yet, it was this Maeve Yu who, in front of everyone at the Fu family's anniversary celebration, threw the divorce agreement in his face, completely humiliating him. He looked at the elegant and composed woman in the red dress and dangerously narrowed his eyes.
After the divorce, everyone thought that Romeo Fu and Maeve Yu would never have any contact again, and Maeve Yu herself believed the same. However, at a national drama awards ceremony, Maeve Yu won the Best Screenwriter award, and the dignified and aloof man presented her with the award. After handing her the trophy, he suddenly lowered his voice and pleaded in front of everyone, "Maeve Yu, I didn't know how to cherish you before. Can you please give me a chance to pursue you again?" Maeve Yu looked at him with a radiant yet distant smile and replied, "I'm sorry, Mr. Fu, my focus is solely on my career now." The man grabbed her hand, his eyes filled with desolation, and said, "Maeve Yu, I can't live without you." Maeve Yu turned her back to him with extreme indifference.
What a joke. Isn't it better to focus on her career wholeheartedly? Why should she engage in love affairs, especially with a man who is trying to come back to her?
The male lead is the type who clearly loves someone but is unaware of his own feelings until he completely loses them. Only then does he slowly realize his true emotions and embark on a long journey to win back his wife.
