When everyone else saw this sword, except Grace, their eyes flickered.
The power of this sword was astonishing, and it did have some skill, which made people feel cold.
But Jennifer was not satisfied yet. She felt that the guard's attack point was too conservative. It should not just be aimed at one of Garfield's arms, but his head.
Even so, everyone seemed to see Garfield covered in blood and begging for mercy in pain.
But--
Ding, ding, ding!
The expected scene did not happen. The long sword in Garfield's hand suddenly erupted with three rays of cold light, and then the sound of gold and iron clashing sounded.
Before the guard had time to understand what was happening, he felt his eyes blurred, his palms numb, and the handle of the knife in his hand shook violently. He could hardly hold the sword.
He continuously activated his vitality and then firmly grasped the sword in his hand.
Then he just prepared to fight back.
The next moment, a long sword filled with cold light was pressed against his throat.
The cold touch, like the scythe of death, controlled his life, making his whole body shiver and his scalp numb. It was like a nightmare, and his body was stiff and motionless.
In an instant.
Everyone around them stared wide-eyed, almost unable to believe what they saw.
If the previous guard was succeeded by Garfield because of his carelessness, then the guard just now had taken action with all his strength, but the result was still shocking.
Even the guard really couldn't understand how Garfield, who was only at the early stage of Human Level, could block his Poisonous Dragon Spitting Tongue? How could he withstand his late-level cultivation and gain the upper hand?
"This little beast, actually..." Jennifer's eyes turned cold, and she was shocked, and blurted out, "Garfield Quickley, you are so bold, put down your sword now."
Her eyes widened with anger, and she was majestic. At this time, she still had the majesty of the Quickley family's mistress.
"Put it down?" Garfield grinned.
A cold and stern light emitting from his eyes, and he pressed the sword in his hand fiercely, and then pulled it.
"Master Garfield, please don't..."
The guard's heart trembled when he saw this, and he hurriedly begged for mercy, but it was already too late.
Puff!
A stream of hot blood spurted out from his neck like a fountain, spreading all over the ground far away.
The corpse fell to the ground helplessly.
"You want to kill me, and you want me to spare him?!"
Garfield always had a smile on his face, but in the eyes of others, it made everyone feel cold, like a devil.
For a moment, the entire Mansion was silent.
"And you!" Garfield turned to look at Taddeo, his eyes narrowed slightly, like a wolf staring at its prey, and he said coldly, "If you dare to take advantage of my mother again, be careful, I will kill you."
Taddeo's face suddenly showed anger, and he was about to get angry, but when he saw Garfield's eyes, a cold air rose inexplicably from the soles of his feet, his face turned pale, and he was speechless for a moment.
He looked at Jennifer and snorted coldly, "Jennifer, is this what you call agreement?"
Jennifer hurriedly explained, "Prince Adam, there is a misunderstanding here. Please wait for me to explain it to you."
Immediately afterwards, she stared at Garfield, trembling with anger, and the hairpin on her head trembled. She pointed at Garfield and said, "Well, well, little beast. You've got guts. How dare you threaten Prince Adam?"
Her eyes were as fierce as a poisonous snake, and she suddenly turned her head to look behind her.
Many servants who heard the commotion outside the house and came to watch the excitement shrank their necks in fright and quietly took a few steps back.
Finally, she set her sights on an old man who was always following her, and said bitterly, "Ubaid, why are you still standing there, go and take down this little beast for me!"
"Yes, ma'am."
The old man responded and walked out of the crowd.
This person was wearing a dark blue robe, with his hands tucked behind the wide sleeves. His eyes were cold, but with a hint of coldness. He had been looking at the situation in the room coldly, and his expression had not changed at all.
After he walked out, everyone's eyes fell on him.
Everyone's pupils shrank, including Garfield's.
From this person, he felt an extremely dangerous aura.
"Earth-level master." Garfield said in his heart, his eyes colder than ever before.
"Master Garfield, you have gone too far. I don't want to fight with you. You should just surrender and obey my lady's orders." Ubaid said lightly, staring at Garfield coldly with two emotionless eyes.
Garfield's expression remained unchanged, and he smiled coldly, "If you want me to surrender, we'll see if you've got the skills to do it."
He was just in Earth Level. If he fought to the death, it was not like he didn't have the power to resist.
Ubaid frowned and said, "In that case, I'll have to overstep my bounds."
As soon as the words fell, Ubaid's figure suddenly looked like an eagle, and he jumped out instantly. In an instant, a terrible strong wind swept through the whole room. Ubaid's hands became claws and he instantly grabbed Garfield.
This blow was many times stronger than the previous two guards. The strong aura suppressed Garfield's breathing and made his bones creak.
"Ubaid, if you dare to touch Garfield, give it a try."
Grace, who had always been paying attention to her son's condition, suddenly rushed out and stopped in front of Garfield.
Garfield, on the other hand, swayed and blocked Grace behind him with his sword.
His eyes were cold, waiting for Ubaid's claws to fall before he would rise up and move violently. Although earth-level warriors were strong, he boasted that he could kill him in one fell swoop when the opponent hit him.
Ubaid's claws were only a few feet away from him.
At this moment, a loud voice suddenly came from outside the room, making people's eardrums hurt, "Stop."
A middle-aged man wearing a brocade robe with purple cloud boots and a three-fingered gold-rimmed python belt around his waist walked into the house like a dragon.
Ubaid's claws stopped abruptly a foot above Garfield's head, then hurriedly stepped aside and bent down respectfully.
"Marquis!"
Everyone in the room bowed and spoke respectfully.
The person who came was none other than Garfield's uncle, Sagiv Quickley the Marquis Nichols.
Jennifer hurriedly came to Sagiv and said angrily, "Marquis, you came just in time. This little beast has gone against the grain today. Not only did he kill two guards, but he also dared to threaten Prince Adam. If we don't promote the family rules today, I'm afraid certain people are forgetting who they are."
"That's enough." Sagiv shouted coldly, with a gloomy face and said, "Don't you think it's enough?"
"What?" Jennifer was startled, her little eyes widened, she stared at Sagiv and said, "Marquis, it's not me who wants to cause trouble, it's this little beast..."
Sagiv shouted angrily and said, "Shut up. Little beast, little beast, is this how you behave as the mistress of the family? He is your nephew. If he is a little beast, then who are we? What are the Quickley family?"
Jennifer's face turned red and she was shaking with anger. She wanted to refute, but when she saw Sagiv's gloomy face, she immediately suppressed what she wanted to say.
Seeing the anger of the family master, the other servants knelt on the ground one by one, their faces turned pale and they were as silent as ice.
