chapter 6 There is a problem with the house

I've never had a problem with sleepwalking.

But since I slept in the master bedroom of this house last night, I started sleepwalking for no reason.

And tonight, Bavo Jones and I slept here together. Not only did I sleepwalk, but Bavo Jones also started to sleepwalk.

Even though I don't believe in evil, I think this house is extremely evil.

Coupled with the disappearance of cement shoe prints reappearing, my first reaction was to escape from here!

There is something wrong with this house!

But Bavo Jones was still sleepwalking, and he didn't seem to wake up at all.

I plucked up the courage and called him twice.

But I didn't dare to shout too loudly, because I heard that sleepwalkers can easily become dementia if they are awakened.

Fortunately, although I shouted very quietly, Bavo Jones still woke up.

He opened his eyes blankly, and the remote control in his hand fell to the ground.

After seeing his surroundings clearly, he shuddered suddenly and his eyes stayed on the floor at the door of the master bedroom.

He seemed to have seen those shocking cement shoe prints.

"Fuck! Fuck!"

He screamed twice, ignored me, and ran out of the house crawling on the ground.

"Bavo Jones! Wait for me!"

I was so frightened that I grabbed my phone and rushed out of the living room.

The two of us ran downstairs, not daring to stop for a moment, until we ran out of the neighborhood and I found that Bavo Jones had lost all his slippers.

In the deserted streets, only the sound of cleaners sweeping the floor could be heard in the distance.

Bavo Jones and I squatted under the tree in embarrassment, holding our legs and shivering.

"How is it possible...how is it possible..."

"I obviously slept well in bed...well..."

Bavo Jones's reaction was stronger than mine.

He was originally a very courageous person, but who wouldn't break down when encountering something like this?

"Boss Meng, something happened to that house..." I waited for a long time before looking at him.

He also looked at me with a very ugly expression: "You sold the house. Why do you ask me? I still want to ask you!"

I said that there has been no trouble in that house, but now I really can’t guarantee it.

Anyway, I asked the seller before and the seller said nothing happened.

And even the police have investigated it. It’s impossible for the police to help the seller lie, right?

I suddenly remembered something that the old madam in the community told me, saying that this house had been sold once before, and the buyer was the seller this time.

But after the seller bought this house, he never lived in it. It was vacant for more than ten years, and then he listed it for sale in our store.

If there was nothing wrong with the house, why did the seller leave the house vacant for so long?

Even if he rents out the house, he will be able to make back a lot of money after renting it for more than ten years.

At this moment, Bavo Jones and I had a tacit understanding. We really didn't believe that nothing happened to that house.

"What a damn unlucky man, this matter is not easy to deal with now."Bavo Jones looked very ugly.

I understand what he means. This house must be undecided now.

Because we installed surveillance cameras in the house, we had to show the surveillance cameras to the buyer and his wife.

If we didn't take it out, it would be a sign of guilty conscience. But once we took it out, the surveillance showed that we ran away twice in a row, and Bavo Jones and I even sleepwalked. How can we explain this to others?

This matter cannot be hidden.

Moreover, checking out is now a trivial matter. At the worst, we will refund the agency fee. But if the buyer wants to sue us, then we will not only refund the money, but also have to file a lawsuit and lose money!

"There's definitely something wrong with this house."

I said, "You should have seen those cement shoe prints too."

Bavo Jones's face turned pale again at the mention of 'shoe prints'.

"I never had sleepwalking before. Why do you think I sleepwalked? When I woke up, I saw..."

As he said this, he couldn't continue.

Seeing how frightened he was, I didn't dare to say anything else.

For example, I heard the sound of high heels walking and the sound of walls being painted.

What scares me even more is that the shoe prints I saw just now are somewhat different from yesterday's shoe prints.

Yesterday's shoe prints pointed forward and pointed behind, and they disappeared at the door of the master bedroom, which meant that the owner of the high heels was going to the master bedroom.

But the shoe prints I saw today were dotted in front and pointed in the back, and they extended from the door of the master bedroom to the door of the living room.

This means...the owner of that pair of high heels left that house.

Bavo Jones and I stayed outside the community until dawn. Bavo Jones asked me to call two people to come over and go back to the house to take a look.

In fact, neither of us wants to go back, but we have no choice. If we don't take care of the house, we may really be involved in a lawsuit.

I took out my cell phone and called the two clerks in our store.

These two clerks are college students who have just graduated. One is Reuben and the other is Raffaello. They are both relatively obedient young people.

When these two people received my call, they were still a little confused. I didn't say much to them on the phone. I just asked them to take a taxi and Bavo Jones would reimburse them for the fare.

About half an hour later, these two people arrived one after another and thoughtfully brought breakfast to Bavo Jones and me.

"Two leaders, what are we here for? Are we showing clients the house?"Reuben thought there was a business coming to his door.

Bavo Jones said with a pale face: "We didn't take the clients to see it, we went to see it. There was something really wrong with the house that the Second-in-command sold half a year ago. It was not clean inside."

Reuben and Raffaello, two young people with higher education, were immediately stunned and looked at us with wide eyes.

"No, it's not clean... Why don't you ask a housekeeping company to clean it up?"

"Clean it, it's haunted in there!"

We couldn't explain it clearly, so we had to take Reuben and the others back to the house.

Naturally, these two people didn't believe us and thought we were teasing them.

After all, it is really hard for people who have not personally experienced those weird things to believe that those weird things really exist in the world.

We quickly returned to the house and looked through every room.

But just looking at it this way, and it was broad daylight, I couldn't see any problems at all.

And just like yesterday, when Bavo Jones and I ran out and came back, those cement shoe prints had disappeared again.

In the end we could only watch the monitoring again.

The four of us sat in front of the computer and started watching it at 11 o'clock last night.

Just when the video reached 12 o'clock in the morning, the sound of knocking on the door suddenly sounded on the surveillance screen. This was the second knock on the door by the girl who came to see Alicia Miller.

Bavo Jones and I didn't take the knock on the door seriously for the time being, and the video speed was still turned on more than ten times.

But soon, the scene reached the moment when Bavo Jones opened the door. I hurriedly pressed the pause button, as if my whole body was struck by lightning.

Bavo Jones and I stared at each other with big eyes and small eyes, and we both saw each other's cold sweat breaking out.

In the video, after Bavo Jones opened the door, there was no one outside the door at all!

On the surveillance screen, Bavo Jones standing stupidly inside the gate, while outside the gate...

no one!

No one!
