chapter 7 You'd better leave this beauty alone.

Stan Sowden took out a pocket watch from his arms, turned back time, and his thoughts returned to an evening more than ten years ago...

The sky was gray, and on the old streets, a dirty boy huddled in an alley, with a few withered yellow weeds in his messy hair, and a newly stolen bread in his hand.

Pedestrians came and went in a hurry, rushing to take shelter from the rain, and had no time to stop for such a little guy.

"Boom!"

Lightning flashed in the dark sky, and thunder suddenly sounded. The boy's little hand shook, and the bread accidentally fell from his arms and rolled to the corner of the street.

He reached out quickly to grab the bread.

"That..." The little girl came over with a soft voice and a trace of concern in her big eyes.

The boy tightened his hold on the bread and glared at the girl.

The girl took out an exquisite candy box from the bear backpack and said to the boy, "Do you want to eat cream cake?"

She looked to be about five or six years old. She was holding a box of transparently packaged cream cakes in her two pink hands, and her pink face was a little embarrassed.

The sky was still gloomy and the old streets looked like this angelic and beautiful little girl who longed to come out of fairy tales. She became the only light in the boy's eyes.

He knew where the girl's cream cake came from. It was a pastry shop across the street, and it was displayed in the highest and most conspicuous place in the window.

"This one is strawberry flavored. It's delicious. Here it is."

The boy looked at the little girl's white face and suddenly lost consciousness. He immediately shook his head, and then nodded mysteriously...

With his trembling hand, he took the cream cake from the girl's hand. The boy could smell the strawberry fragrance emanating from the packaging box.

I haven't eaten anything all day and I'm so hungry.

The little girl nodded happily: "Next time you come here when you have time, I will give you another delicious strawberry flavor!"

The boy's lips moved slightly, the world in his eyes seemed to be still, and a warmth filled his heart.

At this moment, a black car slowly stopped on the side of the road, the window was opened, and a driver greeted the little girl.

"Miss, why are you here alone again? It's going to rain. Get in the car quickly!"

The little girl nodded with a silly smile, her skirt blowing in the wind, and she ran into the car like a little cloud.

But while running, the girl dropped a pocket watch. The boy reached out and wanted to call the little girl to stop, but the car had already driven away.

The boy stepped forward and picked up the pure gold pocket watch. The background of the dial was the innocent and cute photo of the little girl.

In the next few days, the boy waited in the alley every day, hoping that the little girl would appear again and that he could return the girl's lost pocket watch to its original owner.

But after waiting for a month, the boy never got a little girl, but accidentally got a bad old man.

That bad old man is Stan Sowden's master.

Without that girl, without that pocket watch, without insisting on waiting for a month, Stan Sowden might still be living on the streets, or he might have died of hunger long ago.

That girl was Patricia Scurr. It was she who changed the trajectory of her life and was also the first woman to give herself warmth.

Patricia Scurr probably didn't remember this incident for a long time. Stan Sowden originally wanted to keep it in his heart, but a chance opportunity allowed him to socialize with Patricia Scurr again.

Of course there was a reason for this unexpected marriage. Patricia Scurr's grandfather had a close relationship with Stan Sowden's master, and this marriage was arranged by them.

Patricia Scurr is in a difficult situation now, being forced into marriage by a wealthy young man with a deep background. Living with Stan Sowden was actually a way Patricia Scurr's grandfather came up with to protect his granddaughter from harm.

Stan Sowden never thought that he would get married in a flash marriage, but because he wanted to protect this woman, he readily agreed.

The ringtone of his cell phone interrupted his thoughts. Stan Sowden picked up the phone and saw that it was a familiar number.

"Junior sister, what's the matter?"

"You can't call me if you have nothing to do? Brother Lang, do you miss me?" A voice as sweet as a silver bell rang on the other end of the phone.

Shen Lang sighed: "Junior sister, I feel so lonely every night and miss you so much."

"If you stop talking, you will still be lonely. Don't you have that beautiful fiancée with you? Let her warm your bed every night."

Listening to the playful voice on the phone, Stan Sowden felt a little funny and a little speechless.

Although he and Patricia Scurr were engaged, they had never held hands, let alone slept together.

The relationship between the two now not only doesn't look like an unmarried couple, it doesn't even look like friends.

"By the way, Brother Lang, aren't you short of money? Do you want to send you a few million?"

"No need, you, Brother Lang, are a pure man and would be embarrassed to ask a little woman for money."

"Who is the little woman!"

"Okay, okay, our You'er is a great beauty."

After joking with his junior sister for a while, Stan Sowden hung up the phone.

His mood recovered a little. Stan Sowden actually wanted to manage his relationship with Patricia Scurr, but he was a little unable to do so.

Stan Sowden was a little hungry after not eating at night. As soon as he walked out of the bedroom, he heard laughter coming from the hall.

This laughter came from Patricia Scurr, and it was very pleasant. Stan Sowden was a little surprised that this iceberg could actually smile.

I have to say that Patricia Scurr looks really good when she smiles, but she has never shown such an expression to herself.

Stan Sowden's hearing was different from that of ordinary people. Even from a distance, he could tell that there was a man on the other end of the phone from Patricia Scurr.

"Brother Wenzhi, don't laugh at me. We haven't contacted each other these years. How are you now?"Patricia Scurr asked on the phone.

Hearing that there was a hint of concern in Patricia Scurr voice, Stan Sowden suddenly felt a surge of anger in his heart.

Although he and Patricia Scurr had no relationship, he instinctively regarded her as his woman. Shen Lang couldn't bear it when his own woman called another man "brother" and talked and laughed with him.

When Patricia Scurr hung up the phone, she glanced at Stan Sowden who was walking over and said calmly: "I'm going out to meet old friends tonight."

Stan Sowden asked expressionlessly: "Who is he to you?"

"Why do you care so much?"Patricia Scurr frowned.

"I am your fiancé in name. Isn't it too much to ask this question?"Stan Sowden snorted.

Patricia Scurr frowned and said, "He is a classmate of mine, his name is Luke Zimmerman. Okay, have you finished asking?"

"No wonder you call others Brother Wenzhi. Are you going on a date with your brother Wenzhi this late at night?"Stan Sowden sneered.

Patricia Scurr was startled for a moment, and then she curved her mouth in a teasing way: "Hey, are you still jealous of me? Then I'm really flattered. I tell you Stan Sowden, you'd better leave this beauty alone. Brother Wenzhi is at least a hundred times stronger than a man like you!"

That Luke Zimmerman was Patricia Scurr's college classmate. He had dated her several times, but he didn't have time. He couldn't avoid it this time, so Patricia Scurr was going to attend a dinner party.

Unexpectedly, Stan Sowden would have such a big reaction. Patricia Scurr had already noticed that Stan Sowden was unhappy and took this opportunity to deliberately make him angry.

The corner of Stan Sowden mouth twitched, and he suddenly pressed Patricia Scurr weak shoulder, sparks flying in his starry eyes.

"Stan Sowden , you...what do you want to do? Let me go!" Seeing Stan Sowden domineering and unruly eyes, Patricia Scurr suddenly became panicked.

"A hundred times stronger? Woman, I want to see how the man you mentioned is a hundred times stronger than me. If not, let's see how labor and management train you tonight!"Stan Sowden said coldly.
