Grace dropped the pen she was holding and exhaled. Her fingers ached for release, she had been writing for several hours. She had gotten a notebook and pen from a nurse and decided to write away the boredom she felt. She interlocked her fingers and played with them. The door opened and she shut her eyes, hoping fervently that it wasn’t her mother.
