The scene in front of Fei Shen was hardly worth his attention. He took a step forward, grabbed the arm of one of the guys who had rushed at him, and exerted force on his hand, then kicked him.

A figure was sent flying, knocking down several others in the process.

Chaos erupted in the bar. Panic spread among the patrons. Mengmeng Jiang pulled Feifei Ouyang's arm and, taking advantage of the confusion, they ran outside.

Fei Shen had noticed their escape but chose not to intervene. The situation was too chaotic, and he figured it would be best for the two girls to get away safely. As for the group in front of him, they were nothing more than small fry.

Fei Shen's peripheral vision caught the sight of the woman at the bar, still drinking on her own, as if everything around her had nothing to do with her.

The deafening DJ music finally stopped.

Around Fei Shen, lay more than a dozen men, defeated.

A group of people in security uniforms, holding police batons, glared coldly at Fei Shen.

Running a bar required some degree of strength; otherwise, who would dare to open one? Bars were often a breeding ground for trouble and disputes. If the owner couldn't control the crowd, they wouldn't be able to stay in business.

At this moment, outside the bar, Feifei Ouyang and Mengmeng Jiang were sitting in the car. "Feifei, this time, that guy will definitely get a lesson. What do you think of my idea?" Mengmeng Jiang said, looking proud.

Feifei Ouyang looked at Mengmeng Jiang but didn't have the heart to respond. In her mind, she kept replaying the moment when trouble started, and Fei Shen had stepped forward to shield them.

"Feifei, are you starting to feel sorry for him? You need to remember how awful that guy was, taking over your room and making you eat snake meat!" Mengmeng Jiang said.

"It's not that. I just thought... what if those people couldn't handle him?" Feifei Ouyang replied, her tone defiant.

"Don't worry about that. The owner of this bar has some powerful connections. Do you really think those guys can't handle him? Making trouble here means ruining this guy's business. So, right or wrong, that guy is going to pay for it. But it seems I might have gone a bit too far."

"What if they cripple him? What will we do then?" Mengmeng Jiang suddenly realized the serious consequences of her actions and rubbed her forehead in distress.

"What? No, this can't happen! Mengmeng, you've gone too far!" Feifei Ouyang said.

She had only wanted Fei Shen to suffer a bit and maybe even get a good beating, but she had never intended to harm him in any serious way. Despite her occasional anger towards him, she knew it was just idle thoughts.

"Feifei, I've been helping you all along, and you're still blaming me!" Mengmeng Jiang said with a hint of grievance.


"I..." Feifei Ouyang hesitated.

"If my dad finds out about this, we'll be in big trouble. He values that guy a lot!" Feifei Ouyang said, finally unable to hide her embarrassment.

"I see! Actually, I think the uncle is a good guy. He's responsible, at least he didn't leave us behind and run away!" Mengmeng Jiang said with a pained expression.

"Yes, we should call the police!" Mengmeng Jiang's eyes lit up.

Meanwhile, inside the bar, Fei Shen stood quietly, facing the security personnel who were holding weapons. His gaze remained calm and indifferent.

As for the guys he had defeated, they had been thrown into a corner.

"Kid, causing trouble on your first visit? You must be eager to die!" The leader of the group looked at Fei Shen and spoke coldly.

"I have no intention of causing trouble; it's them who went too far," Fei Shen replied calmly. He had no desire to provoke trouble, but he wouldn't tolerate being pushed around either.

His identity was sensitive, and any trouble he caused would have far-reaching consequences. Even though he had his cards to play, it wasn't worth the trouble.

"You think this is going too far?" The leader sneered. "Let me tell you, my patience is limited. Otherwise, it won't be just one hand you'll lose when you crawl out of here!"

"Well, my patience has its limits too," Fei Shen said with a faint smile. He had endured enough humiliation. He had once been hailed as the hero of the Chinese military, and even though he had become an ordinary person, he hadn't lost his pride. If he had to cause a scene, so be it.

The man stared at Fei Shen, his anger turning into a cold grin. "You're the first person I've seen who causes trouble in this bar and still acts so arrogant. After wrecking the place, you'll crawl out of here, that's for sure."

"So, should I feel honored then?" Fei Shen said, his peripheral vision still on the direction of Ningyan Luo. She remained calm, as if everything that had happened had nothing to do with her.

For the first time, Fei Shen experienced what it meant to be "aloof." Ningyan Luo seemed entirely disconnected from the situation.

Finally, at this moment, she put down her glass, turned, and left without ever glancing in their direction.

Fei Shen couldn't help but feel a sense of curiosity. This woman was nothing like the woman from the company. Which one was the real her?

"Break his limbs and throw him out!" The man with triangular eyes said with cold determination. "Doing business here and causing trouble, he won't have a good ending."

"Kid, you should be grateful. You'll be able to walk out of here, but this isn't over!" He added.

Fei Shen's eyes finally revealed a hint of coldness. Walking out? He had never bowed down to anyone in his life, whether they were common thugs or even the most powerful of adversaries.

"Is this really necessary?" Fei Shen asked calmly.

The man sneered and said, "Kid, you should consider yourself lucky. You're leaving here in one piece. But this matter isn't over."

"Actually, you should be grateful," Fei Shen said, a faint smile appearing on his lips. He was still alive simply because he had chosen not to retaliate. Anyone who dared to attack him wouldn't have a good outcome.

Upon seeing the police officers enter, a faint smile appeared on Fei Shen's lips. It seemed like quite a coincidence.

Fei Shen noticed the two girls standing behind the police officers and couldn't help but appreciate their quick thinking.

Now was the time for the guy who had been beaten earlier to explain himself. People often acted impulsively under the influence of alcohol, but regretted their actions once they sobered up. Under the cold gaze of the man with triangular eyes, the guy tried to shift all the blame onto Fei Shen. While Fei Shen had indeed provoked the man, there was someone else who had offended him even more.

"At the very least, the main target of Triangular Eyes now isn't him," said Jing Bai as she directed the police officers to apprehend Fei Shen.

Jing Bai personally stepped forward to handcuff Fei Shen. One of the police officers who had intended to intervene received a sharp slap from someone and turned to see Officer Li staring at him with a stern expression. Li then grinned at Fei Shen, implying a show of goodwill. As an experienced police officer, he understood the dynamics of certain places, and some were best left alone.

Jing Bai, however, didn't expect that her actions would lead to such a misunderstanding. She had merely thought that Fei Shen was a dangerous person. In reality, even she couldn't handle Fei Shen, let alone anyone else. As the leader of this operation, she felt she had to lead by example.

"Miss, this is our second encounter today. You don't have to be so polite," Fei Shen said with a grin. "In a way, it means we're destined to meet again."

"Now, silence would be your best option," Jing Bai replied coldly. She couldn't believe this guy was trying to flirt with her at this moment.

Feifei Ouyang and Mengmeng Jiang exchanged puzzled glances. Mengmeng Jiang was in awe of Fei Shen's actions. To her, he was incredibly cool. He had taken down over a dozen people single-handedly and was now even flirting with a police officer in front of everyone.

However, she was puzzled by his mention of their second encounter. Had he already been to the bar earlier that day?

While Mengmeng Jiang was in admiration, Feifei Ouyang had a completely different reaction. She couldn't believe that this troublemaker still had the audacity to flirt with a female police officer. She regretted helping him; perhaps she should have let him get beaten up or worse. His constant snark was infuriating.

Under the ominous gaze of Triangular Eyes, Fei Shen and the previously beaten men were taken to the police station for interrogation.

Once they arrived at the interrogation room, Fei Shen was handcuffed to a chair. Jing Bai took a seat across from him, and Officer Li stood up, saying, "You two can chat; I'm going for a walk."

Jing Bai glared at him, but Officer Li just grinned and walked out. Fei Shen noticed the exchange between them and couldn't help but appreciate Officer Li's understanding and tolerance.

"Officer Li, are you thinking of resigning from your position?" Jing Bai asked coldly. She felt that Officer Li had been getting too close to Fei Shen since he had arrived. Fei Shen's antics had irritated her beyond measure, but she didn't know how to explain it. She hadn't said anything about Fei Shen's actions because doing so would only confirm the rumors.

Fei Shen couldn't help but smile at the situation. He believed that Jing Bai was now angrier with Officer Li than with him. This was called "transference of resentment." When you found someone else more hateful, the previous culprit didn't seem as bad. In Fei Shen's eyes, Officer Li deserved his sympathy.

"Handle it as you see fit," Officer Li replied nonchalantly.

With that, he walked out of the room with a confident stride. Fei Shen couldn't help but silently applaud Officer Li's demeanor and composure. He hoped that Officer Li would maintain his dignity and composure even after learning the truth behind the situation.
