William Lin didn't turn his head, but he spoke up, "A week, morning and evening, three times each, or it'll relapse."
Hearing William Lin's words, the overweight man quickly asked his henchmen around him, "Which one of you has kids?"
The thug who had spoken earlier, after being reprimanded, cautiously said, "Big bro, I'm still a virgin!"
William Lin couldn't help but chuckle at the overweight man. The guy who had lost sensation in his legs earlier only did so because William Lin had activated the Spirit Gathering Needle in his knee, causing a brief loss of consciousness. Even if William Lin didn't retract the Spirit Gathering Needle, it would dissipate on its own after a while.
With a light-hearted mood, William Lin hummed a tune on his way back to the apartment. When he reached his own door, he felt something was amiss. It seemed like he heard a man's voice coming from Susan Su's room.
Since inheriting the legacy, William Lin's physical abilities have greatly improved, including his vision and hearing. William Lin thought, "Could I have misheard? Or does Susan Su have a boyfriend?"
William Lin didn't know why he had that thought, but after some consideration, he decided to mind his own business. This was someone else's privacy, so he promptly inserted the key into his door.
However, just as he stepped inside, he felt compelled to take a peek. Though he chanted "Do not intrude" in his mouth, he activated his X-ray vision in his mind.
Instantly, he saw through the door and witnessed Susan Su tied to the bed with two men standing nearby.
"Big bro, can I have a go? This woman is incredibly hot! It's a stroke of luck for me to encounter such a beauty!" The creepy man remarked as he leered at Susan Su.
The man referred to as "big bro," a scar-faced individual, nodded and said, "Hurry up, keep your voice down!"
The creepy man rubbed his hands together, "Darling, I'm here! Originally, I just wanted to rob you, but you're too good-looking!"
Susan Su stared at the approaching creepy man with terror in her eyes. Her mouth was sealed with tape, preventing her from making any noise.
As the creepy man was about to make his move, the door was suddenly kicked open. Both men turned their heads toward the entrance.
There stood William Lin, looking embarrassed as he scratched his head. He quickly said, "Hey, guys! My bad, I must have walked into the wrong room. Carry on, I'll leave!"
Initially, when Susan Su saw William Lin, it seemed like she saw a glimmer of hope. However, upon hearing his words, she felt her heart sink.
The scar-faced man, swift to react, didn't give William Lin a chance. He pulled William Lin into the room with one hand and closed the door with the other.
Seeing the approaching creepy man, who had earlier been ready to harm Susan Su, William Lin couldn't hold back. He made a move, sweeping the creepy man off his feet with a swift kick.
The scar-faced man, witnessing William Lin's actions, acted quickly as well. He threw a punch toward William Lin, but William Lin raised his left hand to block it and delivered a right hook to the scar-faced man's stomach.
In an instant, both men fell to the ground, writhing in pain and howling.
The creepy man had gotten too close to Susan Su when William Lin entered the room. William Lin couldn't risk using the Spirit Gathering Needle with his current level of spiritual energy, so he had no choice but to divert his attention for the time being.
William Lin came to Susan Su's side and quickly untied the ropes binding her.
While William Lin was busy untying the ropes with his back turned, he suddenly felt a sense of danger in his mind. William Lin quickly turned to look.
He saw the scar-faced man lying on the ground, pulling a handgun from his waist and pointing it at William Lin.
In the blink of an eye, William Lin exerted all his strength, pushing Susan Su under the bed.
Bang! Bang! Bang! The scar-faced man fired several shots in quick succession.
The table lamp on the bedside table shattered, and a piece of glass fell directly onto Susan Su's face, cutting her skin, and causing blood to slowly trickle down.
Seeing the blood on Susan Su's face, William Lin was filled with anger. He summoned all his spiritual energy and condensed it, then shot a Spirit Gathering Needle through the wooden bed, piercing the scar-faced man's forehead.
The Spirit Gathering Needle passed through the scar-faced man's forehead, causing him to lose consciousness instantly and slump to the floor.
After getting up, William Lin headed straight for the other creepy man who was still lying on the ground.
The creepy man watched as William Lin approached step by step, trembling, and said, "I can handle this myself." He then forcefully slammed himself into the wall and fainted.
Observing the creepy man's actions, William Lin found it somewhat amusing and decided not to intervene, moving towards Susan Su.
Once he reached Susan Su, he noticed the bloodstains on her face and felt a twinge of guilt. He thought he should have simply knocked out the two men earlier. He hadn't anticipated that they would have firearms.
After Susan Su was untied, she didn't pay much attention to the pain on her face. Instead, she hugged William Lin tightly and buried her head in his chest.
William Lin wasn't sure how to comfort her, so he patted her shoulder gently to ease her.
After a while, Susan Su adjusted herself and lifted her flushed face to look at William Lin. Immediately, she lowered her head in shyness and said hesitantly, "Is the wound bad?"
William Lin was somewhat surprised. He had expected Susan Su to say something else. He shook his head and said, "It's not too bad. I can take care of it. Don't worry."
"Really?" Susan Su seemed a bit skeptical. She felt that the wound on her face was quite significant.
William Lin nodded firmly. "Yes, I'm telling the truth. But what I'm curious about is how they got in."
Susan Su hesitated and replied, "I don't know. I went out to buy breakfast this morning, and I have no idea when they followed me."
"Now, let's call the police. These two were carrying guns, and there might be something more serious going on," William Lin suggested. He then took out his phone and dialed the emergency number.
While waiting for the patrol officers to arrive, William Lin briefly attended to Susan Su's wound. Among the medicinal herbs he had purchased, there was a portion reserved for making a Resplendent Youth Elixir as a gesture of gratitude for Susan Su. Now, it was the perfect time to use it to remove the scar.
Not long after, there was a knock on the door.
William Lin opened the door to find three uniformed patrol officers standing outside, led by an extremely attractive female officer. Unlike Susan Su, this female officer had a commanding beauty.
Upon seeing the door open, Judy Li flashed her credentials from her bag and asked, "Hello, I'm with the Jiang City Patrol Division. Did you report a robbery?"
William Lin nodded and said, "Yes, it's these two," stepping aside to reveal the two individuals he had already tied up behind the door.
"And this," William Lin added as he retrieved the handgun from behind him, having learned his lesson from earlier. He didn't want to take any chances, so he decided to keep it for now.
Seeing William Lin pull out the firearm from behind him, Judy Li and her team immediately went on high alert. She drew her own sidearm and pointed it at William Lin, saying, "What are you doing? Put the gun down and get on the ground with your hands behind your head!"
