Ethan Luo only felt his vision blur, and when he subconsciously tried to pull the trigger, his hand holding the gun had a slight numbness. The next second, the firearm in his hand had already been snatched away by Matthew Zhao in a lightning-fast move.

Ethan Luo's bodyguards rushed to support the howling Ethan Luo as they left.
"William, what are you standing there for? Let's continue our meal," Matthew Zhao asked with a silly smile, looking at William Chen, who seemed bewildered.
William Chen took a deep breath. Continue the meal? How could she eat now? "What are we eating? Let's leave quickly. After shooting Ethan Luo, the Luo family won't let you off the hook."
William Chen paid the bill and pulled Matthew Zhao out.
"Darling, why are you doing this? You didn't invite me for a meal just to leave abruptly. I haven't eaten enough," Matthew Zhao protested.

William Chen wanted to kick him out of the car. She pressed the gas pedal, and the car sped away.

William Chen handed him a bank card and said, "There's two million in here. I'll take you to the train station now. Leave here immediately."
If he didn't leave soon, it would be too late.

But it was Ethan Luo, and she couldn't protect him.

William Chen glanced at her phone and saw that it was her father calling.

"Darling, what are you doing? It's your father's call. You should answer it," Matthew Zhao reminded her.
William Chen took a deep breath and answered the call. She immediately heard her father, Tyler Chen, shouting, "William Chen, bring Matthew Zhao back to the Chen family right now. Don't let this kid escape. If he does, we're all done for."
