chapter 2 Make another breakthrough

When the crowd heard the name Liam, they all showed awe and consciously made way for them, only to see a man wearing a white fur robe walking towards them.
He has sword-shaped eyebrows and starry eyes, a face like a jade crown, and a heroic appearance. He was dressed in a white robe and gracefully waved a folding fan in his hand, further highlighting his extraordinary and otherworldly temperament!
The person who came was none other than Liam, the Young Master of the Sigeweard family. He was also the number one genius of the current generation of the Sigeweard family. He possessed the Fourth-grade Battle Soul, Wind Chaser Wolf. Now ten years old, he was already in the late stage of a Battle Warrior, with almost no rivals among his peers in Sigeweard City.
The cultivation realms of the Battle Soul Continent were, from low to high, divided into Battle Spirit, Battle Warrior, Battle Master, Battle Maestro, Battle Ancestor, Battle King, Battle Emperor, Battle God, Battle Saint, etc. As for the Battle Deity, they only existed in legends, and the Battle Soul Continent has not heard of it for many years.
In addition, each realm was divided into four small realms: early stage, middle stage, late stage and peak stage.
There were only a handful of Battle Maestro in the entire Sigeweard City. As for the Battle Ancestor, unless you possessed a Fifth-grade Battle Soul, there was almost no possibility of becoming one!
It was no wonder Liam was so arrogant. Sigeweard City, as a remote border town, had only seen up to Fourth-grade Battle Soul at best. In the entire Sigeweard family, people with Fourth-grade Battle Soul were extremely rare, and Liam was one of them. If he didn't die, he was destined to become a Battle Maestro like existence.
There were even rumors that Liam would be the perfect candidate for the head of Sigeweard family in the future!
"Sir, you must stand up for me! This servant is your dog, how can we let outsiders bully us?" Seeing Liam's arrival, Noah suddenly woke up, clinging to Liam's thigh and began to cry bitterly.
Ethan glanced at Noah coldly. This guy had just pretended to be dead, which was bad enough, but he even dared to play the victim first. Ethan was naturally not polite and said coldly, "Take care of your dog. Don’t let them out to bite people.”
After saying that, Ethan turned and left. He was extremely interested in the Battle Soul in the Battle Soul Continent and wanted to find out what was going on in his body as soon as possible.
Moreover, he had just awakened his Battle Soul and was only in the mid-stage Battle Spirit. Liam, as the number one genius of the Sigeweard family, was already in the late-stage Battle Warrior state. He would not be stupid enough to confront Liam head-on!
"Did I let you leave?" Liam snorted coldly and appeared in front of Ethan, blocking his way with a meaningful smile on his face.
"A good dog doesn't block the road," Ethan knew that he would not give up today. If this was the case, he would continue to be strong.
Boom! As soon as he finished speaking, Ethan felt a sharp pain in the area between his thumb and index finger. Before he could react, a heavy fist smashed into his chest, his internal organs churned, and a mouthful of blood sprayed out of his mouth.
He took several steps back and knelt on the ground on one knee. His eyes were extremely red, blood was flowing from the corners of his mouth, and the veins on his forehead were squirming like little insects.
"You little bastard, how dare you call me a dog!" Liam's gaze was extremely cold, and intense murderous intent flashed through his eyes.
Ethan clutched his chest and stood up with difficulty. He finally knew that the gap between the Mid-stage Battle Spirit and the late stage of Battle Warrior was completely different. He didn't even see how Liam made his move.
"You only rely on your cultivation realm to overwhelm others. If you were at the same level as me, I would kill you like a dog!" Ethan smiled ferociously and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth without giving in at all.
"Are you dreaming? How can a loser like you compete with the master?" Noah did not expect that Ethan would dare to talk to Liam like this and couldn't help but taunt him.
"Little bastard, today I won't bother with you. If you're brave enough, come and face me at the family meeting in a month. I'll be waiting for you." Seeing as Ethan remained silent, Liam squinted his eyes and smiled. Waving his hands, he said, "Let's go!"
"Sir, please slow down." Noah trotted along behind Liam, truly resembling a loyal dog.
"Trash is trash. You can't even block the master's punch. A month later, the Elder Young Master is estimated to have reached the Peak-stage Warrior. This trash has just awakened his Battle Soul and thinks he is great. By then, the master could crush him with just a finger!"
"Who says otherwise? Today, this trash got lucky. The master is in a good mood. Otherwise, the beating would have made him vomit blood and he would not be able to get out of bed for at least half a year."
The crowd was talking, and their eyes were all focused on Ethan, full of mockery and disdain.
Ethan turned a deaf ear, his eyes were extremely sharp, and he said firmly in his heart, "Don't worry, I will attend the annual meeting in a month's time. By then, I will firmly trample underfoot those so-called geniuses you all speak of!"
Returning to his shabby residence, Ethan frowned. Although the young Ethan was a loser, he was still the Third Young Master of Sigeweard Family. Yet, the place he lived in was worse than a dog's kennel.
In regard to the young Ethan, he was somewhat admirable. Having no parents since the age of seven, he had lived almost entirely on his own. At that age, he was just a child, and it's truly baffling how he managed.
"This world is really cruel. Strength is the most important, and there is no family affection at all." A contemptuous smile flashed in Ethan's eyes.
Then he started practicing to prepare for the family annual meeting in a month. The disciples who were practicing outside would all come back by then, and many of them would definitely insult him!
Having been knocked away by Liam just now, Ethan also understood the gap between himself and Liam. It was not enough to break through to the Battle Warrior realm within a month. Time was very important to him!
Night, as lonely as water!
Ethan was sitting cross-legged in the dilapidated house. Behind him, a dark shadow completely blended into the night. It was the Ghost Battle Soul.
Ethan discovered that when using the Ghost Battle Soul, the energy and spirit of his whole body would be enhanced to the extreme, and his cultivation speed would increase several times over.
Continuously using the Ghost Battle Soul consumed a lot of his soul power, but he persisted. Since heaven gave him a chance to be reborn, he naturally wanted to live a good life.
The spiritual energy of heaven and earth rolled in, and in his pubic region, a white stone emitted a faint light. The injuries in his body recovered quickly. The mysterious white stone was very helpful in healing the injuries, which surprised Ethan.
Ethan mind moved, and the spiritual energy of heaven and earth penetrated into his body and condensed into surging soul power. Compared with the previous soul power, it was purer. Although the soul power was consumed quickly, Ethan could clearly feel that his own aura was getting stronger.
Ethan breathing was steady, his exhalation was measured, his face was calm and peaceful. The soul power in his body was constantly flowing, washing his muscles, bones and meridians.
For a long time, his body was like a bottomless pit, frantically absorbing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth around him. After a long time, this aura slowly calmed down.
As his eyes opened and closed, a ray of light flashed away. He stood up slowly, with a satisfied smile on his face. Overnight, he made another breakthrough, and now he was in the Late-stage Battle Spirit!
However, he was not satisfied. The Battle Spirit Realm was just the starting point for training in the Battle Soul Continent. Liam was not his final goal.
A truly strong man, soaring into the sky and dominating the world, was the realm he should truly aspire to.
Ethan looked at the already white sky, took a few greedy breaths, and said to himself, "After breaking through to the Late-stage Battle Spirit Realm, I should also go to the Battle Skill Pavilion to choose Battle Skill."
