CHAPTER 73

The doctor nods slowly, sympathy flashing through his eyes.
"Is he going to be okay?" I ask quickly, knowing his parents would soon arrive and I'd possibly be thrown out of his room. The doctor looks down at his papers awkwardly before clearing his throat.
"Maybe we should wait for your parents."
I shake my head in refusal, frowning hard at him.
"I'm eighteen, I'm an adult. You can tell me." I lie again, my voice desperate. I take another look at Brody and a small sob escapes...
