CHAPTER 3

" Vishal stop acting gay and come to the point. What do you want?" I asked ignoring the weird look he was giving with his lips pulled out and wide eyes. Bloody Drama queen.

" I've found a bride for you."

I chocked on my saliva at his words. What the hell?

" Before you kick me out of your cabin, just hear me out, okay?" He said in panic and passed me an innocent look. I nodded hesitantly and that's when he smiled from ear to ear.

" Rehan you've promised me that you'll do anything if I ask. So today I am asking you to marry someone of my choice. Please only for my happiness, agree to this marriage." He explained in one breath and looked everywhere but me.

" You will destroy that woman's life."

I stated.

" She's not any ordinary Woman. She has a heart of gold and believe me Rehan, one day you'll thank me for arranging your marriage with her." He exclaimed happily.

I had an urge to laugh at his stupidity. I might end up marrying someone of his choice but not even my wife will be able to bring the change in me.

Vishal is my friend but still there are many secrets to which he is unaware. If only he had known everything then definitely he would have never tried to set up my wedding with anyone. A person like me don't deserve any of this.

I had done those terrible things which were hard to forget. That pain, that guilt, that agony was not something to forget. They had trapped my heart.

The woman with the heart of gold also would never be able to mend my broken soul.

" Look at yourself Rehan. You're most eligible bachelor blessed with perfect look and all the riches. Any woman would die to marry you but still at the age of twenty seven, you're single. But isn't like I am complaining, I am actually glad that you are single because if anyone deserves to be your wife then it’s Mayra, only her."

You're not getting Vishal. In reality no one deserves to be the wife of a fucking Nightmare.

MAYRA'S POV

I gulped down the third glass of water, down my throat due to my nervousness which was at it's best.

I am going to meet ' The Rehan Malhotra.' That man who was always my inspiration.

I had never thought to meet him in person.

Vishal had told me to wait in his room but to get some fresh air, I walked to the balcony.

What am I going to say to Mr. Rehan? What if I will end up embarrassing myself? What if..?

I inhaled a deep breath and looked straight up into the sky full of stars, instantly a little relive washed over me.

" Staring them will not solve anything."

Suddenly a strong dominating voice echoes into my ears and I snapped my eyes in that direction to find a well built man in business attire. I blinked again to realize that it was no other then Rehan Malhotra. Automatically a smile touched my lips and I shifted my eyes back to the stars.

" They doesn’t solve anything but at lest they provide peace and I guess that's more important."

I said and he let out a dark chuckle. He stood next to me and my heart started beating with wild rate.

" Peace, it's impossible to find."

I tilted my head and instantly our eyes held a contact. For a second, everything went still. His eyes were the most beautiful pair, I have ever seen. His aura was reflecting confidence but not his eyes. They were holding strange emotions which was hard to read.

" Peace can be easily found."

I added, our gaze still interlocked.

But suddenly he came closer to me and grabbed my wrist harshly, in between his fingers. I hissed slightly and stared at him with tears rolling down my cheeks.

"Have you got peace?"

"Where there is pain, no peace can ever come."

I replied and his grip tightened more, which caused me to bite my lips. His jaw clenched but then a smirk appeared on his face. He pulled my lips out of the hold of teeth with his thumb.

A shiver rushed down my spine and numerous butterflies jumped into my belly.

I instantly pulled myself back and looked everywhere but him.

What was that feeling?

" There was no pain this time, so felt any peace?"

For the first time, I found myself going out of words.

" How much money do you want?"

" What?

" HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU WANT TO STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME?" He raised his tone making me gasped in shock. I looked at my feet with the blurred vision.

This wasn't the Rehan Malhotra whom I expected.

***

" Hello, Barbie doll."

Vishal said with a big boyish grin and jumped on the bed like a little kid. I smiled at his antiques and turned the T.V. off.

" So? Any special reason for random visit in my house?"

I asked, raising my eyebrows. He nodded, looking serious.

" Come, first have a seat."

" Everything okay, right? Why are you behaving strange?"

I asked in concerned but all he did was to give a slight nod and ran finger through his hairs.

" Mayra, do you trust me?"

I scrunched up my eyebrows at his question. Off course I trust him. If it wasn't trust then why else would I have came India for him? But why he asked that?

" Yes, I do."

" If I will ask you for something, will you have enough trust in me to do that?"

He asked.

" I will try."

I replied an honest answer.
