" What do you think about Rehan?"

I watched his face in confusion but he maintained a continuous blank look.

What I think about Rehan?

This was not just a question and I wouldn't be able to answer it though. Rehan was a mystery, someone who was not what he looks like. There was something more deeper than what just a façade of an arrogant billionaire.

" I don't know Vishal. I don't have exact words to define that what I think about him. In our first meet only, he had given the impression of arrogance, egotistic, cold hearted person but there was something in his eyes which was narrating different story."

I spoke and a small smile automatically formed on his lips. Huh?

" Rehan is on the edge of destroying his life."

I bite my bottom lips and noticed the frown his face held. He was concerned about his best friend.

His words were like trigger to my old memories. Jason was also like Rehan. The same drug addiction. A shiver ran through my spine and I shook my head to clear my mind.

No. I couldn't. I couldn't watch Rehan turning into another Jason.

" Don't worry Vishal, your friend is now my responsibility. I promise I will fix his life."

He smiled for a moment but than again a frown formed.

" How?"

" He needs care Vishal. We have to make him believe that there are others who care for him. He has to be happy enough to come out from the trap of drug addiction."

I explained with a new hope for Rehan.

" Mayra, you still don't get it, do you?"

I slowly shook my head and waited for him to say something and clear my confusion.

" From where Rehan's going to get care? He got no one, not a single family member. And happiness? I don't think he has any reason to be happy about."

My eyes went wider in shock. What does he mean that Rehan has no reason to be happy about? Definitely Rehan Malhotra has a different story which was untold.

" Do you want to make his life better?"

I nodded without wasting a single second.

" Than marry him."

My breath caught up in the middle of my throat. Marry him?

I searched his face to get a hint that what he said was a joke but his expressions were otherwise.

I want to make his life better but that doesn't mean I have to marry him. I don't even know him, he's a complete stranger.

" No. Are you out of your mind Vishal? This is not happening."

I said and liked my dried lips.

" Mayra, please. He needs someone like you. I know you will be able to heal him. Just have a little faith in me, think your marriage as the only way to save his life. Since the day I first saw you, I knew that you're the one who can bring my best friend back. You're my only hope, Mayra."

My heart started betting louder and again the face of Jason appeared in the back of my mind.

I clenched my eyes shut and felt the familiar pain.

Rehan deserves happiness, but how can I marry him?

" Think about what I said. If you want to give up on him without even trying than it's okay otherwise I know that you won't ever regret marrying him."

He added with a small smile and went out, leaving me confused.

Marriage is a big thing. For me it was always a pure bond.

I had always thought about marrying the one whom I love.

Tears gathered in my eyes as I felt the sudden frustration. Deep down I don't know why but my heart was not against the idea of Vishal.

I sighed and took out Rehan's medical record from my bag.

Depression, panic attacks, anxiety, mood swings, drug addiction, anger issues.

There was something more. The way his eyes had flickered with void emotions, there was something which was constantly eating him alive.

Saving even a single life was worth of every sacrifice.

My heart put it's view and I let a little smile to pass through my cheeks.

I am ready to take the risk of stepping into this lifeless marriage. I couldn't let Rehan became exactly like Jason. I wasn't able to save him but this time, I promise to decorate beautiful colours in Rehan's life.

MAYRA'S POV

" Vishal, please tell ."

I said in a curious tone but by practically ignoring me, he hopped on the couch and started checking his cell phone.

"Barbie doll, just go and get ready because I am not going to utter a single word."

He stuck his tongue out. I smiled and  shook my head at his childish reaction.

Stepping inside my room and after taking a deep breath, I changed my clothes into black denim and simple white shirt.

I grabbed my hair into high pony and with that I walked back into living room where to my surprise I found vishal sleeping on the couch.

With tip toes, I get closer and started tickling him. He jumped in shock but soon started tickling me back.

" P-Please s-stop."

I yelled but instead of stopping his action, he pulled me on the couch and repeated his action.

" Say that, I am the most hottest specimen alive on this earth."

He shouted with a evil laugh and winked at me.

" I am t-the most hottest specimen alive on this earth."

I said in between my laugh and winked him back.

" So funny."

He muttered sarcastically and grabbed my both hands. My stomach ached due to laughter and I tried my level best  to get away from his hold but all in vain.

" Am I disturbing something?"

Suddenly someone's strong voice dragged both me and vishal out of our little tickle fight and after looking over the direction of the voice, we instantly get up.

I saw pair of dark orbs staring at me with no emotions. I gulped down slowly and started avoiding my gaze with him.

" Rehan bro. No no, you are not disturbing anything."

Vishal said to him playfully.

"I am waiting outside."

Rehan locked his jaw in annoyance.

When he stepped outside, I turned towards vishal with curious look.

" Why he's here?"

"Barbie doll, you were asking for so long right, that what's special today. So the special thing is your dinner date with your fiancé Rehan."

He winked and my mouth instantly hung after listening to him.

Dinner date with Rehan?

I bite my lower lips nervously. How am I supposed to go with him? I mean, I am nervous. It's not like I will be alone with him for the first time but A DATE?

I closed my eyes shut and Rehan's face appeared inside my mind and a smile instantly dropped on my lips.

" Now please go before he will change his mind. I had tried real hard to make him ready with the idea of going out with you on dinner."

He cleared his imaginary sweat from his forehead and sighed dramatically.
