“What’s going on?” I asked Diego as soon as I got back to my place.

My breathing was very erratic as I had just come from running from my car that was parked outside of my driveway and my heart was still beating like crazy from the rush. I had driven back as fast as I could right after Diego had called me that my dog was having problems.
