"Change of plan, Charlotte." Tessa says hurriedly, catching up with me just after the school bell goes off, signalling the end of last period. She looks flustered, excited, but slightly guilty. I turn to her, raising an eyebrow.

"What's wrong?" I frown.

"Well... nothing is wrong, it's just that I can't give you a lift today, after all. I kind of... promised Ian that I'd hang out with him today. You don't mind, do you?" her eyes widen in concern, and I almost burst out laughing....
