"Ms. Larson, I really don't want to head down the mountain!"
On top of an unknown mountain in the Land of the Red Dragon,
Silas Symonds wrapped his arms around a woman in her thirties and begged.
Although the woman was over thirty years old, she was full of charm. Not only was her appearance bewitching, but she also had a voluptuous figure.
Coupled with the red dress she wore, she was a stunner!
"Silas, you are twenty years old. It's about time you head down the mountain!"
"And I have arranged a fiancée for you in the outside world, and she will be here to pick you up soon. She is way prettier than all those women you've seen!"
Molly Larson advised the man helplessly.
"Ms. Larson, is that you see me?"
"You are the most beautiful in my heart, and no one can replace you!"
"Please. I really don't want to go down the mountain. Just let me stay!"
Silas said pitifully while rubbing his head against Molly.
Molly could tell Silas was doing this intentionally, but she did not get angry. Instead, she smiled at him dotingly.
Then, she took out a photo. "Silas, this is your fiancée. Are you sure you don't want to go find her?"
Silas took one look and was instantly captivated!
The woman in the photo had an exquisite oval face and a peach-like figure. Her beauty was out of the world!
Swish!
Silas vanished from sight instantly. When he reappeared, he had packed his luggage, carrying it on his back. "Ms. Larson, I'm heading down now. You have to take good care of yourself in the future!"
Molly gritted her teeth. "Weren't you reluctant to go down the mountain just now?"
"Did I say that?" Silas refused to admit the words he said.
"Get out! Scram!"
Molly was infuriated by his response.
"Ms. Larson, I'm going to find my beautiful wife now!"
Silas chuckled, turned around, and walked down the mountain.
"Wait a moment!"
Molly stopped Silas and threw two things at him. "Take them. One is your engagement contract, and the other item has insight about your parentage."
"Also, if you have time after leaving the mountain, don't forget to look for your seniors and observe whether they are living a good life now!"
"Okay, Ms. Larson. But now that I'm going to leave, we don't know when we will see each other again. Why don't we kiss each other goodbye?" Silas pouted his mouth and walked toward Molly.
"You brat. Get out of here now!"
Molly kicked Silas down the mountain.
Time passed, and it was three days later.
"What? Fiancée?"
Hazel Summer's eyes widened, and she looked at the young man in front of her in disbelief at the mansion's door.
This coarse linen-clothes-wearing man was carrying a backpack, and he resembled a country bumpkin.
"Yes, everything was written clearly on the engagement contract. You, Hazel Summer, are my fiancée."
Silas took out the document and placed it in front of the woman.
Hazel's breath froze. She recognized a name on the engagement contract, which was written in her grandfather's writing!
At the same time, Silas looked at Hazel with great interest before finally saying something that agitated Hazel so greatly she wanted to puke blood. "Yes, you are prettier in person than in the photo and good enough to be my wife!"
Hazel resisted the urge to vomit blood. "Brat, my grandfather is dead. Where did you get the engagement contract? Give it to me, and I will pay you 14,000 dollars!"
She was confident she would not wrongly recognize her grandfather's autograph, so the engagement contract was most likely genuine.
However, Hazel was a famous, beautiful CEO in Eastsea City. She had many pursuers that, included young men from affluent families, so there was no way she would be attracted to the country bumpkin before her.
The woman planned to buy the engagement contract over and then drive the country bumpkin away as if nothing had happened.
"Not for sale!"
Silas answered decisively.
"140,000 dollars!"
Hazel offered him a sky-high sum of money.
In her opinion, this country bumpkin had probably never seen so much money in his life. Therefore, he had no reason to reject her.
"No matter how much money you give me, I won't sell it!"
"After all, if I marry you, all the money will be mine, and I will have a gorgeous wife, too. That is my dream life!"
Silas grinned at her.
"Don't be someone that fails to appreciate the favor I did you!"
Hazel became anxious when she saw how stubborn Silas was.
"Where did this country bumpkin come from? Why did he show up at the Summer residence? Shoo!"
At this moment, two men heard the commotion and walked over to Silas and Hazel. One of the young men suddenly showed disgust when he spotted Silas.
"Who are you?"
Silas frowned and looked at him.
"This is my father's second brother, Uncle Felix's son, Eric."
"Hurry up, give me the engagement contract and leave. If not, he will hit you!"
Hazel wanted to scare the country bumpkin away quickly.
Slap!
However, Silas proceeded to slap Eric Summer so violently that the latter fell to the ground. "It's a shame you're from a big city because you're rude. You were the one who asked for this to happen!"
Felix Summer, who stood on the side, was stunned.
He mused, "My son has just called him a country bumpkin, and he chose to beat my son up directly!"
Felix thought that Silas was the one who was being rude.
"Brat, who are you? How dare you hit my son in front of our house?"
Felix asked coldly upon regaining his senses.
"I am Hazel's husband."
Silas understood that Felix and his son were not decent people, so he didn't speak to them nicely as he wrapped his arm around Hazel's waist.
"What?!"
Felix and Eric were both dumbfounded.
How did Hazel land a husband out of nowhere after heading on a trip?
"Hazel, what on earth is going on?"
Felix asked displeasedly.
Hazel frowned, not knowing how to explain the situation.
Felix berated her further, "Oh, you're brave, aren't you, Hazel? How dare you marry a countryman behind our backs?"
"Don't you know that the young master of the Zeller family is interested in you? Aren't you plainly disrespecting the Zeller family by doing this?"
"Listen to my order and ask him to leave immediately!"
Hazel's temper flared, and she retaliated coldly, "Grandpa made this marriage arrangement when alive. Besides, this is my personal matter, so why should I listen to you?"
Felix widened his eyes in anger, unable to speak.
Meanwhile, Eric put his hand over his aching cheek and stood up. Then, he shouted at Silas, "Country bumpkin, how dare you hit me? Just you wait! I won't let this matter slide!"
"Is that so?"
Silas peered at Eric. With a quick movement, he arrived beside the latter and slapped him again.
Slap!
This time around, Eric flew backward because of Silas' force. Then, his body spun mid-air a few times before hitting the ground.
"Hey, you, Why do you insist on using the word 'country bumpkin' in every sentence? Aren't you uneducated or what? You deserve a beating!"
Silas swung his palm while pursing his lips.
"Brat, do you have a death wish?"
When Felix saw how presumptuous Silas was, he couldn't bear it any longer and waved to the mansion's security guard over to them. "Break this kid's limbs and throw him out!"
"Fuck! I just slapped your son twice, and you're going to break my limbs. You are too damn cruel!"
Silas couldn't help but scold Felix.
"Forget about breaking his limbs. Just kill him! Kill him!"
Felix's hands trembled with fury.
The security guards surrounded Silas.
"Don't you dare! All of you, get lost!"
Hazel grumbled frostily.
Instantly, the security guards were unsure what to do next as they directed their gazes toward Felix.
"Don't forget about this. Before my grandpa passed away, he gave my dad the family's head title. Then, when my dad was gravely ill, he passed the title to me. Here at the Summer residence, I'm the one in charge."
"Scram now!"
Hazel continued her scolding in a domineering manner.
The security guards dared not retake action against Silas as they slowly exited the hall.
Felix's expression was extremely gloomy. A junior actually surpassed his status when Felix was the second in command of the Summer family.
He was unable to tolerate this!
"Honey, you're so overbearing, which is as expected because you're my wife. I like you!"
Silas noticed how protective Hazel was of him, so he pecked her beautiful cheek.
A clear red mark was left behind because he exerted too much force while doing so.
As for Hazel, she froze momentarily as she never expected Silas to do something like this,
and especially at this moment, she felt a blazing sensation on her face as if a fire was burning.
At this moment, Silas sensed that something was amiss. He frowned. "Honey, why do I feel an aura of death? Is someone in your house going to die?"
"Ms. Hazel! Mr. Felix! We have a problem!"
Just as Silas finished speaking, a nanny hurriedly ran from the second floor and said anxiously, "Mr. Oscar's condition has suddenly worsened. It looks like he's not going to survive this!"
