Although she looked down on Silas, a country bumpkin that had just come down from the mountain, Hazel had no other choice. So, after they registered their marriage, the woman brought the man into the Summer residence.
The mansion was located in a relatively prosperous area, and the interior was decorated luxuriously.
"Wow! Honey, is this our house? It's so lavish!"
"I wonder if the bed is big and soft enough to withstand both of us fooling around on it,"
Silas said worriedly while scanning the splendid mansion.
His words exasperated Hazel as she couldn't help but retort, "Stop with that nonsense of yours. Besides me, my dad, Uncle Felix and the rest live in the mansion, too."
"Meeting the family, huh? Don't worry; I will definitely make it a point for them to become fond of me!"
Silas assured her with a grin.
Hazel was too lazy to speak with him further as she walked straight into the mansion's hall.
Sitting on the couch in the hall were a middle-aged man and a young man who somewhat resembled each other, and it was assumed that they might be a father-son duo.
These two men were amid a conversation, and their faces darkened upon spotting Hazel.
"Hazel, what did you do today, and why did you only return home now?"
The middle-aged man questioned with feigned concern.
"Uncle Felix, you probably don't want to see me return home, right?"
Hazel asked coldly.
"What do you mean, Hazel?"
"You are my niece. Why would I not want to see you return home safely?"
Felix grimaced.
Meanwhile, Hazel was too lazy to say anything else.
Although Felix was her second uncle in name, he always wanted her to disappear or get married because then the Summer Group would belong to him.
Hazel was confident that Felix was the one who sent the bald man and his entourage to deal with her!
"Haha! You're Uncle Felix, right? It's nice to meet you. Please take good care of me!"
At this time, Silas walked towards Felix with a smile on his face, extending his hand enthusiastically.
"Where did you come from, country bumpkin. Don't dirty our floor. Get out of here!"
That young man was Eric, Felix's son. He immediately started scolding Silas when he saw the latter dressed unfashionably.
"What did you call me?"
Silas was infuriated when he heard the name that Eric called him.
"What's wrong with calling you a country bumpkin? Do you feel indignant because of that?"
Eric strode over to the other man, not taking him seriously.
Slap!
Silas whipped Eric to the ground with a huge slap. "You're telling me you're a big city guy when you are so rude? You deserved to be beaten!"
On the side, Felix was stunned.
Silas had slapped his son violently just because Eric called the former a country bumpkin.
He mused, "This guy is the rude one!"
"Brat, who are you? How dare you hit my son at my house?"
Felix thundered frostily after regaining his senses.
"I am Hazel's husband!"
Silas understood that Felix and his son were not decent people, so he didn't speak to them nicely as he wrapped his arm around Hazel's waist.
"What?!"
Felix and Eric were dumbfounded.
How did Hazel land a husband out of nowhere after heading on a trip?
"Hazel, what on earth is going on?"
Felix spat fiercely.
