chapter 9 This is your coffin

"It seems that the scum has arrived."
"I didn't go looking for him, and he took the initiative to come."
Eric Gu's face darkened. Fernando cut off his son's legs, and he had planned to resolve it after his father's birthday banquet. Now, it seemed that things got simpler.
"I wonder if you Gu Family are satisfied with this gift?"
Outside the crowd, Fernando slowly appeared, and the people instinctively made way for him.
"Is this the guy from Ye Family?" someone exclaimed upon recognizing him.
"Yes, it's him."
"I heard that seven years ago on that night, he forced himself on the Gu Family heiress, and Gu Family wiped out his entire family?"
"Hush... Don't talk about this matter in front of the Gu Family's residence!"
...
The crowd murmured, discussing in hushed tones.
"You beast, how dare you come back?" A younger member of the Gu Family pointed at Fernando and cursed.
No one in the Gu Family didn't harbored hatred towards Fernando.
"Smack!"
As the words fell, a resounding slap sent the young member flying several meters. Blood sprayed from his mouth, and he lay on the ground motionless.
"The first family in Jinghai, is this how the Gu Family welcomes guests?" Fernando wiped the bloodstains from his hands.
Eric's eye twitched, suppressing his anger. With many guests present, acting now would inevitably lead to gossip.
"Since you're here, you're a guest. Please!" Eric stepped aside to welcome, inwardly sneering: As long as you, Fernando, dare to step into the Gu Family gate, don't think about leaving.
Eric let him pass, and no one from Gu Family stopped him.
Fernando walked forward with measured and powerful steps. Seven years later, the God-Slaying Warlord had returned for revenge.
For the deep-seated grudge of his parents' bloodbath!
"Fernando from the Ye Family is here to offer his congratulations!" Eric deliberately shouted as Fernando approached the hall's entrance.
This was partly a reminder to those inside and a demonstration to the visiting guests. Gu Family, as the first family in Jinghai, would show great hospitality to everyone.
Although Fernando was destined to die tonight; at the very least, Eric wanted to play his part convincingly.
The once lively hall fell silent in an instant.
Inside the hall were members of the Gu Family's main lineage and important guests. Usually, visiting guests would directly proceed to the banquet hall to wait.
Fernando, with a towering figure, walked in with broad strides.
The onlookers widened their eyes, all gazing towards the entrance.
No one dared to believe that Fernando, who was hunted like a stray dog years ago and had vanished without a trace for seven years, would voluntarily show up today. Wasn't this seeking death?
"Fernando!? How dare you willingly come to us?" a member of the Gu Family's main lineage was the first to speak.
Fernando, hands behind his back, paid no attention, standing proudly with his gaze locked onto Hudson, seated on the high platform.
Seven years had passed, but Fernando could never forget that night when his parents clung desperately to Hudson.
As Fernando turned to escape, he glanced back, witnessing Hudson's palms striking his parents.
His parents' mouths were streaming with blood, unable to shout anymore. However, their four hands clung tightly to each other's legs, enduring their final breath. They made a "go quickly" gesture to Fernando.
"On the birthday of the Gu Family's patriarch, how could a representative from the Ye Family not attend?" Fernando collected his thoughts, smiled calmly, and displayed courteous manners.
Only the Gu Family members knew that behind this smile, there hid deep-seated resentment.
"I just wonder if the gift I brought is to the liking of the Gu Family patriarch."
As Fernando's words fell, a steward leaned down to explain something in Hudson's ear. The people in the hall were still unaware of what gift Fernando had presented.
"Fernando, if you're giving a car, then just give a car. Why bury it in a pit?" A younger member of the Gu Family's main lineage heard the steward's explanation and couldn't figure out Fernando's intentions.
Fernando raised an eyebrow, indifferent, and said, "In Huaxia's millennia-old culture, there is a tradition of 'resting in peace.' Without digging a pit, how can one rest in peace?"
"I didn't have time to customize a coffin, so consider this car as yours."
The hall erupted into a commotion.
"Fernando, you have a lot of nerve. Guards, take him down!" A senior member of the main lineage waved his hand.
The surrounding bodyguards swiftly moved, but when they were within five steps of Fernando, they couldn't take another step closer, as if hindered by an invisible force.
Then, several bodyguards felt an instantaneous rebounding force.
"Pfft..."
They spurted blood and were sent flying.
The Gu Family members were shocked. They couldn't imagine that Fernando, who had fled like a stray dog years ago, would now be so formidable.
Hudson stared ominously at Fernando. Although he had heard from his grandson that Fernando was a warrior, he didn't believe it. It seemed that the information was not false.
But even if Fernando was a warrior, Hudson remained unfazed.
He is a warrior, and many prominent families in Jinghai have warriors. However, he has reached the level of a ninth-grade warrior, making ordinary warriors no match for him. This is the capital of the Gu Family, holding the position of the first family.
"Since you seek death, don't blame me for being rude!"
Hudson's Genuine Energy gathered in his palm, emitting a formidable force.
He exerted tenfold strength in this palm, evidently intending to deal a fatal blow to Fernando. The banquet was about to begin, and there was no time to waste.
The palm energy shot forth like an arrow, reaching in the blink of an eye.
Fernando stood firm, unmoving.
Around him, some people sneered, knowing well the prowess of their family head. In their eyes, this palm strike meant Fernando had no chance of defending himself, a sure death.
But just as the palm energy was about to hit Fernando, it was effortlessly blocked by someone.
"Old Master Gu invited me just for this?" Devin, with a stubble beard on his face, looked furious.
As the director of the Jinghai Patrol Division, Devin had the authority to handle major and difficult cases in Jinghai and manage all the warriors within Jinghai.
When warriors intervened, ordinary people were either dead or injured. The Patrol Division had a clear order: whenever a warrior harmed ordinary people, members of the Patrol Division had the right to enforce justice on the spot.
"Chief... Chief Wei." Hudson was terrified and quickly bowed.
Inside the Patrol Division were all warriors, and their power was beyond comparison with families.
"Chief Wei, doesn't Old Master Gu know about the regulations set by the Patrol Division?" Devin was visibly angry.
Having been in Jinghai for less than half a year, Hudson had already violated the regulations by injuring people, making it clear that he didn't regard the Patrol Division highly.
"I know, but this person insulted my Gu Family's younger generation in the past, and now he's speaking disrespectfully. I couldn't bear it any longer, so I took action to teach him a lesson." Hudson was sweating profusely. Offending the Patrol Division, he couldn't save his position as the head of the first family, let alone the support of ten families.
"Moreover, he is not an ordinary person; he is also a warrior," Hudson added.
Warriors often sparred to improve their martial arts skills. Although it was illegal, it rarely resulted in serious consequences, and the Patrol Division often turned a blind eye.
"Oh?"
Devin, upon hearing this, showed a hint of surprise.
Becoming a warrior was no easy feat, requiring innate genetics and continuous practice of martial arts techniques. Without three to five decades, it wasn't easy to achieve.
The person before him was young and already a warrior.
As the head of a family, how could Old Master Gu speak lies so easily without fearing mockery?
